I play GTA IV almost every day. It's been my favorite game pretty much since it came out. I honestly don't think I could even count how many times I've replayed it from beginning to end.
To me, Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game of the franchise and is my favorite game in general. The story and characters are phenomenal. Niko Bellic is still my favorite protagonist as he both wants a fresh start, but wants revenge for what happened to him during the war and so he’s not as committed to the fresh start that many who come to America would want. He’s a very complex character and I love playing this game every year from scratch. The journey is truly amazing and no matter the ending, it’s not a completely happy ending for Niko as he loses someone he loves. It’s tragic, yet very excellent in terms of the storytelling and characterizations of the various characters we see in the game. I’m glad GTA IV has been getting more and more love as time has gone on. I’ve loved it ever since I played it back when it came out on April 29, 2008 and I love it now. Thanks for the video man, keep up the great work and take care!
GTA IV was the first GTA I actually beat, followed by San Andreas and V. I played GTA IV for the first time back in late 2014, when I turned 15, but had to wait a few months for a PC upgrade to finally play it in its full glory. Vice City was the first GTA I played as a 9 year old kid. The atmosphere of IV was unreal compared to every GTA before it, the graphics was mind-blowing compared to SA. The physics is still best in the urban open world crime genre. The vehicle handling was difficult, but it helped me learn to be more patient when playing similar games. Niko Bellic is still the most complex protagonist in the series. The radio is simply brilliant (LRR and Radio Broker are my favourites). The complex nonlinear storyline is amazing. Then came GTA 5, that game is obviously worthy of being called one of the greatest games of all time, but it feels like both an upgrade and downgrade at the same time (more downgrades than upgrades though).
Indd bro I was 12 when I played it im 25 now. It was my first and only game on my ps3 and I wanted to understand the story so bad (I don't speak English I'm from Belgium)and when I got older I understand it more and more.this game formed my love for video games
I was born in 99, played GTA 1 growing up, played Vice City next, but San Andreas was the first I played where I wasn't nearly entirely just messing around in the sandbox, then I went back and played 3. I got GTA IV on release week, and its definitely the game I look back upon most fondly - I was set up by childhood memories of the other games, but finally mature enough to actually understand the impact of the adult themes. I was taking Michelle on dates in GTA IV before I'd ever taken a real girl out lol. 4 set the stage for 5, as the series finally chose, (and had the tech), to depict a realism that the older games just didn't have. Immersion and atmosphere was the right choice of words.
15:30 i mean you get so much money in this game like early mid way through and its not even an issue at that point. Also I use mouse and keyboard so I did kinda like how hard it was. But if you were on controller with free aim then then I can imagine this game feeling like a headache at times.
dude your problem with running out of money is easily resolved by manually saving and reloading from those save. in that regard 4 is way closer to the 3d era of gta (3-SA) but it was a great improvement at the time. In 4 and a half playtrues of gta 4 (+ the dlc 3 latd and +4 tbogt) i never ran out of money (in any gta for that matter)
You are right, but save scumming is more of a patch up than a proper solution. Especially for your first playthrough when you don't know where the difficulty spikes are
This year i finished gta 4 and all of its dlc I truly believe rockstar cooked with gta4 and I think the character depth of gta 4 is the best of the series
you don't have to drive back if you fail a mission, there's a text message? oh also, the ballad of gay tony has a lighter theme maybe that influenced gta5's shift in tone?

The thumbnail reminds me of Megamind viewed through a peephole meme.
Easily better than gta 5. The story. The characters. Wayyy better. Its more realistic. Its literally a game thats like a HBO show.

Thank you for correcting me, but i am now gonna inflict harm on myself for that mistake.
I'm showing my age, but my favorite one is Vice City. Might be because of the soundtrack - it's just amazing.
@@mrlightwriter The Vice City soundtrack might be all time peak
@@sashanilssen I agree.
Well Well Well, if it isnt the Hawk Tuah...

The fact I just bought this game for my Xbox Series S is nuts😂
Hated the driving in gta 5, gave me saints row vibes
i still love GTA 4 Even if i played it and completed it with 14 FPS in my whole playthrough
Just discovered you, reckon this could be a viral for you
pluh got me feeling like im talking to my best friend at the lunch table in kindergarten
The fact that gta 4 exists as it is, and knowing how gta 3 was, always amazes me
Fun video keep it up! I personally like San Andreas the most, they took so much out in the later games

@HirstMovies Yes but usually the mission itself includes a lot of driving where the characters chat on the way to the actual mission location
@@sashanilssen oh yeah true thats very true lmao.
