- This one... had a ton of outtakes... So yes, please enjoy my failed runs. May the annoyance of the pyro psycho prove amusing ;)
A note about something I say during my final thoughts on Mega Man & Bass, I misspoke a bit when I said I was "glad the perfect running was done." What I really mean is I'm glad I'm done perfect running this particular game X) I enjoy doing the Perfect Runs, and I do still have 8 and 9 to do whenever I can, so Perfect Runs will live on. And hey, if they ever make a 10 or beyond, I'll certainly give them a shot ;)
Also, as seen toward the end, I have a partner in this, go check out PinkKittyRose, who will be doing the Bass Perfect Run series ;) Her channel can be found here :

at least he doesnt yell "BURN!" "Burn to the GROUND" "BURN!" every single time he moves/attacks lol
I am still around for your content Roahm. Thank you for your efforts and your time. It brightens my mornings when I get to watch your content while I am still kind of whoozy from my night with coffee for breakfast.
If you notice carefully about Burner Man’s burning slide, he hesitates every so often; he returns to his standing pose for a single frame. I’m pretty sure what’s happening is Burner Man has a set length of floor he travels before he can perform an attack, an RNG dice roll happens, and the pause happens because Burner Man rolled a null attack, but he has to remain in place for the decision. So if you can reliably determine where Burner Man makes those decisions, you’re less likely to get hit and develop a revenge strategy against him. You can even control it to a degree, the burning dive targets your position, so that’s how you can keep the decision points consistent.
I swear to god the song Disco Inferno plus Burner Man's image at the outtake and difficulty analysis transitions makes it look like he's actually singing it. Call me crazy, but that's always what it looks like to me.
That must be his favorite song. Burnerman.EXE as well.
Wait a minute. He throws *propane* tanks that explode?
Burner Man = Hank Hill's best friend.
*claps*
Curiosity Man Who's Hank Hill? I don't know much about him.
TF fan102 Character from the TV show "King of the Hill"
I wish Megaman and Bass was in Anniversary collection. As difficult as it seems, I would liked to play it on my TV. But I might have to find a ROM or something.
And let me take the time to say that your perfect runs have been a big help. Remembering stuff from these vids (as well as others) has helped me get all the way up to Megaman 6 in a week of owning anniversary collection :D
It was actually painful to watch the boss outtakes this time >..> You go through such torture for us fans!
Congratulations on perfecting such a tough game. You deserve the world's supply of shiny things. (Speaking of which, I bet those disks wouldn't be nearly as attractive without the sparkles)
Thanks for the compliment, and I'm glad you enjoyed ;)
Ah, well thank you for the compliment, I did indeed draw and color those myself. Pink also took the sketched version and did a digitally colored version of it which I believe she said would appear in her series.
Thank you ;) Indeed, they were drawn in one pic, I was the one who drew them ;) The pic can be found on Pink's site, in her fan art section.
"Spring Break, whoo!"
Classic.
heh. his picture looks like the flame is flicking you off.
“Burner man must DIE!” that was very well timing, mythril
2:34
I'm not sure what you mean about save states, I don't actually use them when recording my perfect runs. I only use them off camera while I'm practicing in the early phases.
SPRING BREAK, WOO!
It's unpleasant enjoyment.
I know I commented on an older video about how it was weird hearing Roahm refer to Pink as simply a viewer, so it's cool to see him refer to her as a friend here :)
Those outtakes were great. Cant wait to see the rest. XD
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my future endeavors ;)
As I said toward the end of the video, I'm doing the 100 CD series next to show how to get all 100 Database discs. As for MM9, yes, I do have MM9 on the Wii.
Oh yes, I definitely want to figure out something to do with the Battle Network games, I love those ones.
Chances are I'll just be doing a normal LP. After the Perfect Run series, I could use at least a short break from stressful conditions ^_^;
Yes, I'm quite aware of that, but my rules for these runs are that I have to use buster only (unless an obstacle has absolutely no way past it other than using a utility or weapon) and take no damage ;)
The Flame Hyenard of the classic series.
But, without the BURN, BURN TO THE GROUNDED repetition. Actually, while that is annoying, I've been annoyed by worst than Hyenard's voice acting. So, that's an unpopular opinion, I guess.
Blaze Heatnix in terms of difficulty
Aye, Pink and I talk on a fairly regular basis these days, I've enjoyed watching her videos, and she's enjoyed mine, so it's all good ;)
LOL Three of the tags are "FREAKING EVIL BLOWTORCH"
As I've said in other vids, I'd love to do MM9, but I do not have the means to record it currently. I cannot record from consoles, as such, MM9 is beyond my capabilities currently.
Ahh, I was going to say "If you see death spikes completely enclosed with a safe looking platform over them, you know something's up."
Megaman & Bass in a lot of ways feels like Megaman X6, in that you can imagine the designers got together and said "Okay, let's make the hardest Megaman game".
Of course, unlike X6, Megaman and Bass isn't horrible.
10 minutes of outakes? this should be good
3 winky faces in one description someone is confident :3
Spring Break!!!
Also, Burner Man has a slight pattern with the transitioning of moves (dashing), but what he does at times is completely random.
Don't mind me, though. I think so just by seeing him. You FOUGHT him.
Great job & hilarious outtakes... I'm sure you'll find them funnier after the fact.
BURNER MAN MO TAONESAI!!1!!
Elec Man + Quick Man + Needle Man + Bright Man + Slash Man + Aqua Man + Tengu Man (M&B) + Burner Man = The Ultimate Nightmare.
Thank you, this one was tricky to be sure X)
Yes, I believe it did ;)
Probably Ring Man's. The fact that there are essentially four midbosses in his stage gets really annoying, plus that one room with the wall cannons is tricky to get through without getting hit.
Actually, you're kind of a fun battle. Nowhere near as frustratingly annoying as Quick Man. You're the actually FUN kind of hard, the kind I actually like. Thus, you're probably my favorite of the nightmares.
the spring break joke made me suscribe to you
+6 Buggers to the Mega Man and Bass
I think I see a pattern... (I might be wrong...)
I divided the platform into four "units" to "count" his measures. (I also used imaginary lines to count how far he traveled, so from the middle to the edge would be two units.) He travels 7 units around the platform before doing something at random (one of the reasons for so many outtakes). After that it's basically what you'd usually do to avoid his attacks.
we need hacks of each mm game where if you get hit ur controls lock up and you have to watch mm die. that's roahm simulator 2017
Well, it's a technicality, the Ice Wall pushing him into the spikes, though the wall itself will also damage him.
I do have X4. I have up to X5. Or at least HAVE had them, I don't recall if I sold those two off or not. I'm not a big fan of the X series really, but I found them cheap while I was in college.
Burner Man = Biggest Pain you can Imagine
If there was a solid strategy that made him easier to defeat Buster Only / No Damage, sure.
spring break woohooo!
Well, I'm certainly glad it seems to have helped then ;)
For every game, there's always That One Boss.
Probably not really. Ring Man himself is just easy once you get to him, the stage gets all the credit.
Spring Break! WOO!
Hehe, I gave Roahm quite a Run for his money back then eh?
Yeah i want to apologize for that. I just don't want to blow up you know? So if for whatever reason someone reads this, i changed okay? Don't judge me.
Likely yes, but only a minimal one. How minimal?..... I've already been reviewing where the first 10 CDs are hidden, and getting CamStudio set to record GBA vids X)
YEAH! SPRING BREAK!
Trust me, Burner Man has no real pattern to speak of, he's a spaz who does whatever he feels like X)
He drinks orange juice, then brushes his teeth immediately afterwards
Ah, that's quite good to know then X)
Haha, for some reason I felt compelled to do that X)
Yeah, they're funnier now that the run is finished and I can relax X)
nice, i only beat n played the 1st one, n wish to get the others. hopefully u do them
MM&B Tengu Man, definitely.
Honestly, these would be my [new] ratings. Some of them haven't changed, others have.
Mega Man and Bass:
Cold Man: 2/10 I agreed here.
Magic Man: 2/10 Read Cold Man's explanation.
Pirate Man: 3/10 The weird ranges of the Remote Mines tend to catch me off guard sometimes.
Ground Man: 5/10 Think as a switch between your ratings for this guy and Astro Man (only with an extra point). The reason is that unlike Astro Man, Ground Man isn't a threat.
Dynamo Man: 5/10 Read Ground Man's explanation.
Astro Man: 7/10 Read Dynamo Man's explanation.
Tengu Man: 10/10 This is comparable to Shadow Man to me. He has one major annoyance in the stage, being the room with the Tellys, Wind, and Dudunpa Cannons. Bad combination. Tengu Man is a spazz. Yes, he'll fly around and choose to do one of three things. However, it's random which three things they are. The Tengu Blade comes out quickly and requires a good deal of reflexes. It's honestly to me his biggest threat.
Burner Man: 10/10 This is even harder to me for having even more trouble spots in the stage. The room with the Gorizly and Spine require timing, the Spear Room requiring patience, the Sworm Bird Room requiring luck, and the Fire Room requiring speed. Then after all that you have a guy who's as spastic as Tengu Man? All of this guys attacks are annoying in some way or another. Him cornering you with the Wave Burner, not seeing him on screen, his complete randomness in general? This is a terrible combination indeed. The funny thing is, in a way this fight still managed to be quite fun. Nightmare, but very fun to fight him. It's literally all twitch reflexes. Even him cornering me with the Wave Burner, that's my fault for letting him do that to me at times. Not him being a luck-based pest.
Overall Difficulty: 6/10
Nice revenge on Burner Man, tagging him with disco music.
The word "torture" comes to mind. Think about it.
Great vid. What do you plan on doing next?
Btw do you have Megaman 9, and if so, what console? :)
Yeah, that would be nice. However, as I've said in other vids, I can't afford it. It costs 70 dollars, and that's 70 dollars more than I have. I'm basically broke, so anything that costs money is largely out of the question.
I still stand by Bright Man being fairly cheap, if only due ot the fact that if you don't know the trick to his health / still don't get the shots in fast enough, there's nothing you can do ;) He's just..... a litlte less cheap knowing there is a way around it X)
Was anyone saying yes when he said Burner Man himself didn't cause trouble? I honestly would believe him.
@sekkechi... add now the regeneration of dynaman, the summon pippy eggs from magicman, and add time stopping effeckts, and you know what true terror is...
I don't really keep track, so I'm not sure.
3:32 "Eat spike ya bastard!"
Six more buggers. The count finishes MM & B at 132.
It’s nice to know I’m not alone in my eternal hatred for Burner Man...though mine stems from his Navi counterpart. And I was lucky enough to get him on my first run of BN4...the easy mode!! I can’t for the love of me imagine how painful he’d be on the third run in Extra Hard Mode!!
I haven't fought BrightMan.EXE in awhile, but normal Bright Man still seems more annoying to me.
The first King stage doesn't really seem TOO bad, but I know that King stage 2 is a nightmare because of the King Tank King Plane marathon, or Wily's stage which contains a marathon including Burner Man and Tengu Man.
So Roahm, which stage in King's castle would you think would be the hardest to perfect run?
Richard Dong I'm not looking forward to any of them.
+RoahmMythril Yeah, I know how you feel.
BTW, point of advice: you know that infamous boss in King stage 2 where if he shoots fists at the platforms when you play as Megaman, it is guaranteed death? Well that's technically not true. With proper timing, you can use the Lightning Bolt to kill your momentum and stay in the air for a second, letting you escape an unavoidable pitfall if the boss uses the fist attack.
Just wondering though: Using the lightning bolt going against buster only? The boss IS possible without using the lightning bolt, but you have to be VERY lucky if he doesn't use the fist attack. Would this STILL go against your perfect run rules?
@@RoahmMythril oh so u aint going to do them. thats a shame. would be nice to see u beat it lol
I worry deeply for when you do the King fortress stages.
Mega was so not meant for this game.
He’s already said he won’t. Don’t get your hopes up. Dragons are notoriously difficult to persuade into doing things they don’t want to do.
Granted, I kind of like disco music X)
you are correct about quickman x(
Burnermam breaks a rule with your nightmare bosses he does a lot while the rest of them, not counting Elecman,do very little damage
That's probably what Spark will say to him in VENGEANCE: Part 8.5. EAT KNIFE YA BLOODY SCREAMING PSYCHO! SHIIIIIIIIIII
Spring Break WOO
*pyoo pyoo pyoo...*
In a way, I did actually. The only one I seriously have NOT enjoyed even in the least was Bright Man, since he's a bloody cheater ;P
i've noticed something bout the evil freaking blowtorch. his attacks work in combos. he always uses two attacks in a row but never the same two attacks in a row. main example the wave burner you want him to use he always the bomb throw first. and he always dashes then jumps.
Yeah, if Ring Man lived up to the difficulty of his stage, he'd definitely have gotten a higher rating.
Apparently the reason for the reuse of the MM8 graphics is because this started as an SNES version of MM8
he got them, in a separate series
I'd probably want to, but alas, do not have a PSP or the game.
WOW. I don't think any Robot Master has given you this much trouble since QuickMan! XD
I hope you... uh, "enjoyed" doing this one!
I feel your pain about this game...I can`t even get past Ground man... :(
@jordanliow yeah.
but, like i said, i perfered Bass in this game.
Ice walls are burner man's weakness
their weaknesses actually stop their attacks altogether
Ah, I have heard of that one, but I've never actually seen it in action.
i found out that all perfect run nightmare bosses all get a ratting of 10
I wonder if you'll try perfect running King Fortress stages someday. Would be a terribly hard challenge for sure.
Magician2086 I will be doing so eventually, yes.
RoahmMythril I wish you good luck, you'll need it! It's a pain in the ass even with Bass.
RoahmMythril Hmm, Reamtch stage. Mega Man 1 style with Tengu Man last. Not to mention Burner Man is far from him. You're screwed.
Curiosity Man not to mention the platforming between each fight, or the wily machine 8.5, or getting through king 2 before it...(I don't think king 1 would be much harder than a regular stage)
Aww, the Kitty and Dragon are friends. Though... What if they become more than friends...?
Not likely, in the interview with Huntzerz video Roahm did say that Pink prefers other girls
3:18 increased your "bugger" count there.
@RoahmMythril They're very good, even if you didn't enjoy the Zero series because of extreme difficulty, or lack of polish. The system is similar though, so if you had issue with the actual game, you can save yourself a bit of money and just skip them.
i still like that pic ^_^ but have u evr considered 2 do the megaman battle network series?
I'm afraid I've not heard of this song.
even without using weapons, i didnt really have a problem... then again.... i perfer using (but do not limit myself to) bass.
