I have to change tires. I like the RS10, but for street they wear too quick. I was looking at the Michelins. Which ones did you buy exactly? To me they all look like the same tire!
@@MantisRacing I had the pilot 4s which where a good street tire! Super tough! The evo power cups are there dot race race tire- they wear fast- and I don't like how the front tread pattern wears. I have the Q4 now and I have never had better grip in the back! The rear would always slip leaned under heavy acceleration- duh... I know but the dunlops don't! I also run a 205/55 big difference!! Best thing I've done tire wise was upping the size.
Excuse me but I'd like to ask you, can I put 180/55 on a gsxr k7 1000... I had them for my zx6r but then sold it, what could I expect, is it worth trying?
I would expect it to flatten the profile on the gsxr rim. It is less diameter so the gearing will change. If it is worth is depends on what you are willing to spend.
@@MantisRacing I'm just trynna avoid selling, buying, trading for a new set of 190/200s...what should I expect from the 180 flatter = harder handling? Bad center wear? Less grip?
@@AdrenalineRush28 I would expect stronger acceleration. Harder to turn in, more center wear, less grip because there will be less sidewall on the gsxr rim. Probably a stiffer ride as well because of less sidewall. If you're into turns it will hurt you. If you're into stragihtline it might be worth trying.
Good review! Thanks for the clear cut info.
I have had bad experience with the rs10 the Michelin Evo power cups were good but the Q4 are great!

Jason What pressure you use on track with rs10? Front and back
most likely 29-30 cold and adjust from there. It has been a while since I ran those.
