This video is exactly what I needed. I was rejected from an audition I fuelled all my “passion” into and was extremely disheartened, wondering if i’ll ever be able to get back on my feet and work. I then realised that neither had I put much time into practising nor had any vocal coach or professionals helping me so I made a pact to discover new techniques always and keep practising. It’s one audition out of the many to come and maybe i’ll end up getting through to quite a few in the future, who knows?

I've literally sobbed for the whole video. I can't express how much I am thankful for this video, it touches each aching string in my soul and lights every dark place in my mind. Those things you talk about are exactly the things that keep me from pursuing music career that I want so much. Thank you, Madeliene, from the bottom of my heart for the inspiration and support. This is just the video I needed to watch. Thank you.

Hi Madeline, its just such a great video. your advise is so right. I am 75 and took up singing seriously 4 years ago. I have a really nice voice. I take lessons. my teacher thinks I have a beautiful voice. I am still learning to get the high notes. I am currently singing "" Music of the night" there are two high notes in that song that I feel I don't sound good. My teacher thinks I will make it. She is right. I will. You video is so good. I sent it to one of my employees and to my Bridge Mentor. I want to be really good at both these pleasures. Now many people may think a 75 year old person can't make it a a singer. I believe I can. your video will help me. One of my problems is I forget words to songs. but I am slowly improving at this. I am so glad I found you Madeline. my name is Bob. I live in Australia

I posses LOTS of curiosity! i was actually very happy you brought this up!!! IT IS good to stay light-hearted and curious, make it your intention and it will all manifest because all your thoughts manifest whether we know its happening or not :) outside voices are always what kills the curiosity and make us think our dreams are impossible. thanks for mentioning this topic!!!!

Thank you so much Madeleine you have words beyond underneath my wings and I personally had some struggles in the past because I was only in choir back all the way in my high school experience and I never knew that my passion for the love for music and I have my insecurities about the way I sound and I get upset all the time and always believing that I thought in my heart I was good until I had surgery for my throat and I thought I would never thought I could sing again and now I have been trying to get help and sometimes my anxiety panic attacks keeps happening all the time and I don't how to relax

You are so funny Madeleine and so generous in your videos!
I started two years ago with your basic teaching as i did not know anything then I navigated the internet with different videos on the subject.
Now back with your videos and enjoying the content of your teaching so much. I could not understand it all to start with because I needed a bit of searching here and there but now it has become very clear. What I need to do and how.
I do love your teaching which is very structured and clear but also spontaneous and honest.
Your knowledge is very well grounded on experience so you can guide people who want to sing. That is really fantastic!
    Many thanks!

I normally don’t leave comments on RUclips but I thought I should let you know that this video just changed my life. So.. THANK YOU Madeleine 🙏🏼 curiosity, courage and commitment are the secret to succeed and I was waiting to have the passion, or to have the perfect voice, perfection and permission. No one needs that. What we need is to get to work and have fun with it exploring how far we can go in life by being creative!

I love your videos and your wisdom! These concepts are brilliant! But, I was a little sad about some of the language and the idea of giving someone the finger... I'm sure most people are fine with that, but I've shared your videos with my sons before and I'm sad that I can't share this one. Normally you're so clean and you're always amazingly upbeat and cheerful! I'm using your videos more and more. I hope my comment is not offensive and of course you have a right to say whatever you want in your videos, but I enjoy them more when they're clean. :) Love you!
