Back when this came out I worked at a concert hall/theater where they played all the time in Ft. Worth, Tx and these were really great guys. All of them were super nice and just as playful as they seem in their videos.
I've played this song about 20 times in the past couple weeks. It came up randomly on Facebook, and my 11-month-old has fallen in love. This song instantly causes him to stare fascinatingly at the screen and even has calmed him to sleep.

As a diehard Nu Metal and Pop Punk fan, I absolutely love this video. The Staind, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot parodies were hilarious. As someone who grew up loving these two genres (thanks to my aunt and uncle and several friends), I can’t believe I’ve never watched this video until now. I’ve heard the song a million times, but today November 10, 2024 is the first time I’ve ever seen this video. If I ever started a band I’d totally do a video like this or like Dani California where RHCP dress up as their influences throughout music history.
Yes, for any kids watching today, it might not be obvious but practically every scene/costume in the video is a specific reference to then-popular bands like Staind, Limp Bizcuit, ISP, etc. it’s crazy to me (1) how a new viewer wouldn’t have the context to understand any of these references, or even be in a position to know they were references; and (2) how much of the media I consume has references like this that I don’t recognize.

This song came out when I was a Sophomore in HS and was instantly my theme song. I was never confident enough to ask out the rocker chicks back then. After many failed relationships and a divorce, I finally dated a chick when I was 31. Turns out they liked nerdy goofballs all along.
@@gamersofanarchy5494 2 days ago I broke up that rocker chick and now she's keeping our 2 year old son from me out of spite. She's also falsely accusing me of being violent and abusive even though we've never even had a verbal argument in our 3 years togeather. I'm nobody's hero.

i remembered this band from when i was born to 8 years old. Up until recently i didn't know who wrote this song. This song was the one song that will remain with me for the rest of my life, i wish i could go back in time when this music was all over the radio. God I miss those days.
Songs from this time, it brings back incredibly great memories..... I was raised with a cousin and we were more like sisters, best friends than cousins. We loved watching pop-up video and our favorite songs on the countdowns hanging out after school. Listen to certain songs and watching some videos.... it makes me think of that time, especially when the weather starts turning cool. She's dead now, lost her a few years ago because of complications during the covid epidemic. Our granddaughter passed when we were in 9th grade and grandma passed last year. Or grandparents lived a couple houses down and helped to raise us. Both of my parents were active duty but very loving and involved sadly her parents were deadbeat alcoholics so she mostly lived with our grandparents and i was there while my parents were working, so we spent a lot of time together over there. we had our own room there with TV, radio and several other things. I forget sometimes that my cousin is gone, that THEY, all of them, are gone and will never return. I will still run across things and think: "Omg, I've got to send this to - oh, yeah, guess not." and have to take a minute to recompose myself. Normally, I avoid watching videos, listening to things or looking at pictures because even the happy memories make me cry but.... every now and then, I feel nostalgic and watch/listen and remember. Omg..... I'm sooooooo sorry ya'll..... I've turned a fun song with a funny video into a poor-me-pity-party! I do apologize! Any of you that did read all through it, thank you for sticking around.... I don't talk about it much but I must admit: ...venting about it anonymously and knowing someone will read it is kind of cathartic. Thank you. Edit: I'm not someone who is online a lot and used to venting to strangers... but since the internet allows me to talk about it anonymously and I feel a little better after doing so.... can anyone recommend a place where I can anonymously vent my feelings and stories and talk about it with others? Like an anonymous online support group....? I think I need help with the feelings I've been bottling up and avoiding. I have an EXTREMELY supportive husband, parents best-friends and work partner but I would feel better talking about it to outsiders, neutral third-parties and all.... I would really appreciate any suggestions at all. I would genuinely try out any reasonable suggestion presented. Thank you in advance.
I have been trying to find this song forever I miss this kind of music I loved bowling for soup, all-American rejects, green day, ect, ect I could go on and on but that would take all night I loved them growing up

+DarkApocalyptiaX u rock...i always wanted a moped. :D
this type of music will always be better then what's on the radio nowadays, just my opinion
Agreed
True
Lol. I agree too. But you all know how old that makes us sound by saying it? Just think, the next thing we have to look forward to in our life is our midlife crisis that's coming in the next 10 years or so.
And can you believe our grandparents were saying the same things about our music. (Those kids and their music.)
However, i love this song!!
Depends on what frequency you're on.
I listened to this song many times during my college days in 2003. Man, I missed those days.
same
"Shes like em with a moustache"
"Does a mullet make a man?"
I solved it, the girl is in love with Joe Exotic lol 😂
Bahahahaha
Ha
Humour
Joe dirt
@@victormendoza-chance8755 My band released a demo last week and we're trying to get it out to people who love this same music as we do. Would really appreciate it if you could check it out. Pop Punk from the UK. Have a nice day 🤘🏻 ruclips.net/video/lxdWngfS7XU/видео.html
Too bad for for her! He’s gay!!
Jeez do I feel old... going on 28 now... can I go back in time please god? If you exist then please put me back in this era
At least you got to live through it once, I was a little kid at the peak of this era 😣
Downloading off limewire, listening to bare share, chatting on IM while hearing the dial up tone.

Ya cause that sucks

Nice
Too true, who remembers trying to get the tone/pitch/ volume just right to load a game from a cassette on the zx spectrum.... it was like safe cracking 5 minutes of nail blting tension.
Back when this came out I worked at a concert hall/theater where they played all the time in Ft. Worth, Tx and these were really great guys. All of them were super nice and just as playful as they seem in their videos.
Reefer is censored but not "creaming over tough guys"..... what?
What's reefer?
And what's a forty?
God Bless Merica Censorship 😂
Kinda like in Grease.. "Chicks will cream.. For greased lightning"
came here to say this, but in my heart I knew it had been said
I've played this song about 20 times in the past couple weeks. It came up randomly on Facebook, and my 11-month-old has fallen in love. This song instantly causes him to stare fascinatingly at the screen and even has calmed him to sleep.
that kid is gonna be a legend when he's older
Was in the middle of washing my face, randomly this song pops in my head but I couldn't remeber the "wearing a two way " part and so then i look it up and suddenly all the words come rushing back shouting... "all i got is a moped" and my 13 year old is looking at me like my music sucks.. man if only... #nostalgia.
No, hearing this doesn't make me feel old at all. It reminds me of burning CDs and going to to the skate rink with all my best friends to check out all the talent from the next city over. Smoking weed out of a can behind the shed and my first girlfriend. NO BIG DEAL!!
Out of a can lollll 😂 back in 2000 we would use a sanitizer bucket and a 2 liter at Burger King and make a gravity bong. Everyone including management partook. In the office. lol. Good times
I'm 15 and I remember when I was like 9-10 and I would listen to them all the time with my sisters, BFS rocks!
o'clock, Monday night and I'm waitin'
To finally talk to a girl a little cooler than me
Her name is Nona, she's a rocker with a nose ring
She wears a two way, but I'm not quite sure what that means
And when she walks
All the wind blows and the angels sing
She doesn't notice me
Cause she is watchin' wrestling
Creamin' over tough guys
Listenin' to rap metal
Turntables in her eyes
It's like a bad movie
She is lookin' through me
If you were me, then you'd be
Screamin' someone shoot me
As I fail miserably
Tryin' to get the girl all the bad guys want
'Cause she's the girl all the bad guys want
She likes the Godsmack and I like Agent Orange
Her CD changer's full of singers that are mad at their dad
She says she'd like to score some reefer and a forty
She'll never know that I'm the best that she'll never have
And when she walks
All the wind blows and the angels sing
She'll never notice me
Cause she is watchin' wrestling
Creamin' over tough guys
Listenin' to rap metal
Turntables in her eyes
She likes 'em with a mustache
Racetrack season pass
Drivin' in a Trans-Am
Does a mullet make a man?
It's like a bad movie
She is lookin' through me

As I fail miserably
Tryin' to get the girl all the bad guys want
She's the girl all the bad guys want
'Cause she's the girl all the bad guys want
'Cause she's the girl all the bad guys want
There she goes again
With fishnets on, and dreadlocks in her hair
She broke my heart, I wanna be sedated
All I wanted was to see her naked
Now I am watchin' wrestling
Tryin' to be a tough guy
Listenin' to rap metal
Turntables in my eyes
I can't grow a mustache
And I ain't got no season pass
All I got's a moped... moped... moped...
It's like a bad movie
She is lookin' through me
If you were me, then you'd be
Screamin' someone shoot me
As I fail miserably
Tryin' to get the girl all the bad guys want
She's the girl all the bad guys want
She's the girl all the bad guys want
She's the girl all the bad guys want
She's the girl all the bad guys want

I’m 14 and my dad listens to all this and it’s so good and I’m getting hooked so easily
Even in 2021, these guys are hometown heroes and I’ll always love them. Still love all the parody references in this video!
*If you want a new Bowling for soup song that you've probably never heard of, look up Endless Possibilities, yes it's the main theme for Sonic Unleashed, but you won't regret listening to it*
I'm 38 and I still can't stop relating to this song 🥺
Heard this for the first time in over 10 years when I met this amazing man who was listening to it. It made me look at him differently...hes a good man with bad tendencies and I think iv met my match. David Smith.....I lush you x
Girls in the 2000's actually looked their age ^_^ god how i miss those days
Jason the Otaku jailbait aint no joke bro
chownful amen u gotta card girls just to talk to them these days you never know lol
Jason the Otaku so true bloody 15 year olds looking 18. not good for health
+Jason the Otaku Luffy!!!!!
truth xD
This song came out when I was a Sophomore in HS and was instantly my theme song. I was never confident enough to ask out the rocker chicks back then. After many failed relationships and a divorce, I finally dated a chick when I was 31. Turns out they liked nerdy goofballs all along.
You are the underdog story my friend
@@gamersofanarchy5494 2 days ago I broke up that rocker chick and now she's keeping our 2 year old son from me out of spite. She's also falsely accusing me of being violent and abusive even though we've never even had a verbal argument in our 3 years togeather. I'm nobody's hero.
@@volkoff6357 wow I'm sorry to hear that. That's pretty rough man. Just stay strong
They didn't realize they liked us nerdy goofballs in 2006 though xD lol
@@volkoff6357 you get your son back?
I feel the emotion put into this song for some reason, anyone else?
this song was written in less than half an hour according to the singer, slow down with the deep thoughts, you're gonna end up with a nosebleed.
The references to early 2000’s bands really get me now lol
Saw these guys live a few days ago. Fantastic show, sounded perfect and plenty of humour. Loved it
"She wears a two-way" hahahahaha my generation is officially old. This song is close to 20 years old, that's VINTAGE!! Hahahaha
This song takes me back to the good old days of my late preteen and early teen years, one of those eras of my life that I'd always love to go back to.
Oh dang the nostalgia is real, I’m in my moms old house dancin to this in the kitchen and makin dinner while listening to this banger
I think I will love this song forever, back when music was just fun but still with clever lyrics and people who still played! Seen these guys recently a couple of times and they still rock!
Hello how are you doing?
The trends may change, but Bowling For Soup is timeless
I'd prefer if RUclips didn't push Ariana grande on me when I'm clearly here to bask in the glory of pop punk
if this isn't me oh my god
Nick Samuel I. Love. This. Comment. ❤❤
I finally gave it a listen and it wasn't that bad! Then again, I like pop too, so 🤣
poisonberrii pop sucks this is way better
Can I ask ya a serious question Nick S? When did you start listening to BFS & have you always characterised them as pop punk?
Nice to hear a song where I can understand all the lyrics
Heard this on the radio a couple of days ago and now I can’t stop listening to it. I’m 16 year old metalhead but I love 2000s pop punk as well.
Keep being yourself!
Welcome to the realm
Can confirm that the Burrito Extortion CD is amazing by BfS.
I blasted this album on repeat! Still sounds amazing
I wish songs like this would be popular again! I mean I like the new rap jams and stuff of today's era, but I'll never enjoy it like I do with this type. And you know any time a bar/cub/restaurant plays a song from blink/lit/BFS/Sum41/etc. EVERYONE sings it!
I will never forget these guys. They were the first band I ever saw in Concert at Playland in NY. I was about 13-14. I just turned 30 😭. This song and Almost are still such Jams.
Really miss this kind of music!!!!!! :'(
Took me six years to realise he's singing through me and not groovy 🌚🔫
+Elle Brown took me longer than that to realise they were saying "screaming someone shoot me" ... not "screaming so much you'd pee" ..
Lol I had to go back to the part and listen to it to realize that it said through me and not groovy as well
Goddamn it Elle. I've always known it to be groovy. I don't know that I can change my ways at this point. Lol
+Sean Cobb Same...it will stay groovy
+Elle Brown forever thought it said groovy !! life changer
I was a little kid when this all first kicked off, I knew there was something going off about this genre at the time but only looking back now do I realise just how lit it was
I’m about to be 31 and I’m rediscovering all the jams I rocked to!

Thanks for being a huge part of my life bowling for soup
Been singing this song off the hook since I heard it in my Spotify playlist. Bowling for soup is so underrated
Love it when you come across the good old tunes and start singing along
i remembered this band from when i was born to 8 years old. Up until recently i didn't know who wrote this song. This song was the one song that will remain with me for the rest of my life, i wish i could go back in time when this music was all over the radio. God I miss those days.
Two decades ago, this rock single was the song and video all music fans wanted!
I hate how everyone hates this band because there heavy set... it doesn't matter its about there music and personalty
+brandon hooper no one hates them?
Just got to love these guys....it's a good sounding band and a mix of fun and ROCK...if you can't have fun .... don't do it ...
Hello how are you doing?
Having a 80s to 2000s marathon. It’s just because I felt like it. Love this song though.
I don't talk about it much but I must admit:
...venting about it anonymously and knowing someone will read it is kind of cathartic.
Geez I remember listening to this song on repeat back in the day! Good stuff.
It’s been 12 years and I still can’t let go of rock
Cant ever!
😂
2024 and still jamming out to this button
It's 2023 and I can tell I'll be bouncing around my home office jamming before the end of the work day.
This song has been my anthem/theme song since I was 8 yrs old. I’m 24 and nothing has changed
I have been trying to find this song forever I miss this kind of music I loved bowling for soup, all-American rejects, green day, ect, ect I could go on and on but that would take all night I loved them growing up
Welcome back to another episode of “What has Quarantine brought me?”
Lol covid socks am I right
I mean suckx
Slipknot jumping Fred Durst is honestly the best part of this video and that's saying alot🤣
