I remember seeing these guys do a surprise show at a small venue in AZ. They literally stopped their set to talk to a sad girl from the audience whose boyfriend had just broken up with her. They used her phone to call and leave the guy a hilarious voicemail about how he screwed up and she's with them now. I have so much love and respect for this band. Amazing music, and incredible people.
I was at that show. I was standing just a couple of feet away from her. I’m fairly certain you can me laughing my ass off in the background of that voicemail.

I think what I've always liked about Bowling for Soup is that they have a good sense of humor about themselves, their music videos being more comedy centered than others.

Bowling for Soup is such a unqiue band. Their songs (at least their famous ones) have been about love that almost was, feeling like you've wasted your life, your hopes about future life being dashed, wanting someone you can't have... they're underappreciated

This was most likely censored back when they showed it on TV. Vevo didn't do it. RUclips didn't exist till 2005 remember that and vevo didnt really come in till 2008/09.

This was a big problem in the mid-2000s with LimeWire. Almost like half the songs had the wrong artist. I thought Bowling for soup did Closing Time (actually by Semisonic) for like a year until I told my dad and he beat me for being wrong.
God this is my teen years to a tee. I was a "loser" hanging with the surfer/skater/muso boys in a school that venerated the athletes/rugby league players. Now I feel that I'm no loser as I've had the most amazing career and family life and still have a great time every day whilst I know those I went to school with are still hanging with the same people and reliving the glory days. Thank fuck for family and meeting the right girl who let me be me. My son is a legend (in my own lunch time) and I bet some of those who used to look down on me would now crawl to me for advice given what I do now. I love my life!
