Also, learn to separate the art from the artist. It doesn't make you a problematic person to enjoy the WORKS of a problematic artist as long as you acknowledge what they did is wrong.

The main thing where people thought he may be scummy is the lawsuit with the old musicians yeah. They said they weren't seeing their paychecks for the band but the running theory is they just sued him because they were tired of being anonymous. They didn't just want money, they wanted the fame as well. Although the members of the band are pretty much known now they all sign contracts that they don't disclose publicly that they are members of the band so that everyone going in knows what they are getting into. When it comes down to it, Ghost IS Tobias Forge. He has gone on record to say that he plays basically everything in the studio. All the writing and recording for the album is done by him, a keyboardist, and a drummer. They record the things that he isn't technically proficient on and he likes working with them despite them never actually being in the live band. The people who play in Tobias's band on tour are great musicians, but they are still technically just hired musicians, none of them take part in writing the music or in the creative process. This is cool when you realize that all the tasty guitar solos and stuff are all recorded by Tobias, the live musicians just add their own flare.

I watched an interview recently and he talked about how he wants people to feel good about themselves and happy when they leave their shows. I think that is incredibly sweet. He's misunderstood by people because of people misunderstanding the Satan thing. I don't think he has any bad intentions. He just believes in what he believes and he has every right to do that. As long as he isn't hurting himself or others, it's ok.
Tobias Forge is the best songwriter and musical offering from Sweden in the last two decades.. Him being such a radical extremist-level cat person is easily forgiven since he's a gem of a person overall

Same here, the internal debate i have because of people calling him a liar and talking about the Ghost court cases

These scorned ex members that sued him knew the case had no chance to win in court since TF wrote all the songs, owned the bands copyright and the copyright of all songs. None of the ghouls had even been involved in the album recording sessions. Tobias denied their demand to be more than hired live performers, their wish to have a bigger piece of the financial winnings of his music creations. They sued to screw with him basically, they did it knowing there was almost zero chance of winning in court - scorned as they were they knew that it at least would damage his good name.

They actually shrink the whole band back the so they were able to play their characters in the Cherice music video themselves. Unfortunately they do not adapt to their new size so quickly, which is why their playing looks a bit off in the video
