Tao Feng was INCREDIBLE when it came out!!! The body damage models, clothing damage, interactive stages and stunning visuals... what a great fighting game
Def jam fight for New York is my favorite game of all time for the original Xbox. Even if the game is very rare I would still recommend someone buying it.
Def Jam: Fight For NY is truly a unique fighting game and also ahead of the time even 20 years later. Game like this is something what we missed nowadays. Fun fact: D-Mob voiced by Christopher Judge and also his first voice role before voice Kratos from God of War.
5:44 same here. I remember being shocked as a kid seeing Liu Kang get his neck broken. Ed Boon and Midway had some real balls back then and took risks. The Deadly Alliance disk also had some cool hidden gems on it like Adema's Immortal music video and the history of MK video. I sure do miss this era of gaming.
the 3D era mk games rule, easily my favorite fighting games of all time. especially deadly alliance and deception, it really doesn't get any better in terms of fighting game lore and presentation, and the gameplay itself despite being a little jank always felt really satisfying to me
i talk about Kakuto Chojin & Tao Feng all the time and people like to pretend they aren't relevant lol so thank you for including them ...i remember they came out around the same time and i loved when the announcer would yell "Limb Damage" in the middle of a TF match
Funny enough, I found Dead or Alive Ultimate at a thrift store in incredible condition, with the sleeve and two games inside. I didn't know anything about it and I bought it on a whim, glad that it is compatible with Series X!
I love it! Now, Mortal Kombat is probably my favorite video game series of ever. I have over 60 physical copies of the series + a bunch of digital ones.... But seeing you cover games I own but have never played is a wonderful thing! As I say, it is easier to buy all the games than it is to play all the games. Today's takeaway, give Dead or Alive Ultimate 1 + 2 a go! I bought it because of the slip cover, turns out there was 2 decent games in there too! Def Jam Fight For NY is great! About this time last year, my friend and I were full on addicted to this game! We did about six playthroughs and got some 4 player action on New Years 24. Might have to crack it out again soon!
Great video as always, good variety of picks aswell! While a few of the exclusive ones aren't amazing, they are definitely unique and welcome to the og xbox library. Loons the fight for fame was a fun little party fighting game
@ I usually watch RUclips on my phone and watch videos I expect to be great on my tv, this 1 made the tv is was a good decision… this video was awesome! The way you began that was wild, you saying there was only 6 picks was discouraging than bam 1st game on the list… I’m def sharing your channel to my friend who introduced me to Xbox, he’s gonna trip out seeing this page
Many xbox and pc games suffered because ps2 was the lead platform of that time. Otherwise, we could have seen games designed around normal maps and other shaders and could have gotten that early x360 look. Ps2 being the lead platform meant most of those multiplatform games never designed it's assets around normal maps and just used flat textures.
Damn! The Xbox has always been my favorite console as a kid back. Had the OG, 360, One and the Series X or S! Had best Xbox exclusive games on there. But i feel bad for the Ps5 and Nintendo Switch. I wish Xbox games would make it to ps5 and Nintendo Switch. Those 2 deserve more content for exclusive games.
You mentioned Deception on Deadly Alliance part. I remember for the Xbox it had like 4 different collectors edition cases which was cool. Idk if it was for like different regions though. Deadly Alliancr had a few features that didn't carry over even if imo Deception improved upon Deadly alliance mostly.
Loved the 3D fighters on OG Xbox. DOA 2 was a must buy for me as I had it on Dreamcast and loved it. Def Jam Fight for NY is one of the greatest wrestling games ever made. SoulCalibur 2 is the sequel to one of the best weapon based 3D fighters ever released. Marvel Nemesis was a surprise 3D fighter that I ended up enjoying quite a bit. I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting but those were the Xbox 3d fighters that pop in my head first
I loved Deadly Alliance. Got it on the gamecube near release. I have fond memories of playing it with my cousin all night spending time unlocking stuff in the crypt. There was so much stuff. I think Deception is better than Deadly Alliance and Armageddon but I still have a soft spot for all 3.
Kakuto Chojin and Tao Feng are ones that I think deserve a second chance with a remake especially to fix some of the combat issues because I see a lot of potential. Just a shame they are content light. More powers for those who enjoyed them and graphically they looked really nice especially with the particles effect of the destruction for Tao Feng. The other three are staples of the sixth generation on the OG Xbox. What more do I really have to say?
Yeah…at least the Mortal Kombat series started to make a good basis that expanded on the later entries after the rocky transition to 3D-ish with Sub Zero on N64 and Special Forces.
Let's just be real the original Xbox was beyond underrated there was too many ignorant people who didn't like it just because it was different if I can go back in time and release some games on it here's the games that were released on it 1. Resident evil 4 2. Star Ocean till the end of time 3. Soul Calibur 3 4. Final fantasy 10 5. Devil May cry 3
Know for sure co owned fight club or another in that series, I played Ultimate and in many years to come rushed to the literal town vendor and picked up DOA 3 for my modern system - first ever xb game i played.
If you think FFNY is great, play its prequel, The Takeover. While it loses 4-player fighting, it adds in a lot of options for ground fighting, like ground and pound.
@KP-48-007 FFNY is fantastic. The Takeover, is even better. Dispite losing the 4-player, The Takeover adds enough to the Def Jam formula, that you can overlook that. Both are amazing, though.
Bought a Gamecube copy this year and beat it like a dozen times since then. It' just as good as it was in 2005 when I played it for the first time.
i want a remake of this game so bad :C
Def Jam: Fight For NY is truly a unique fighting game and also ahead of the time even 20 years later. Game like this is something what we missed nowadays.

For the algorithm! Thanks for the great videos. Truly underrated
Thank you for watching and commenting! It's very much appreciated!

My favorite fighting games on the original Xbox, by far, are Dead or Alive 3 and DoA Ultimate.
Both are excellent games!
True gems !
Fun fact in def jam Fight for new York if you play the game on hard mode your can max out all your stats in the gym and buy all the blazing moves.
the 3D era mk games rule, easily my favorite fighting games of all time. especially deadly alliance and deception, it really doesn't get any better in terms of fighting game lore and presentation, and the gameplay itself despite being a little jank always felt really satisfying to me

DoA Ultimate the horniest & my fav but DoA3 is the Tag Team GOAT
i talk about Kakuto Chojin & Tao Feng all the time and people like to pretend they aren't relevant lol so thank you for including them ...i remember they came out around the same time and i loved when the announcer would yell "Limb Damage" in the middle of a TF match

That's a great find! It's hard to find it with the slip case outside of eBay.
Wouch, my favourite theme🎉
I love DOA series, Soul Calibur 2 and Kakuto Chojin❤
Merry Christmas🎄
Merry Christmas! Happy to see some love for Kakuto Chojin!
DOA2U and DOA 3 are my favorites, that OG Xbox library of fighters back then were honestly good
I love it! Now, Mortal Kombat is probably my favorite video game series of ever. I have over 60 physical copies of the series + a bunch of digital ones....

That's awesome! Mortal Kombat is a favorite of mine as well! Dead or Alive is definitely worth trying out.
Great video as always, good variety of picks aswell! While a few of the exclusive ones aren't amazing, they are definitely unique and welcome to the og xbox library. Loons the fight for fame was a fun little party fighting game
I'm glad you liked the video, it's definitely cool for the Xbox to have so many unique Xbox exclusives. Definitely need to check out Loons.
Remember playing DoA online as a kid when it came out Christmas morning. Remember trying the OG. Was cool.
Can’t wait to get home and watch this! I hope you got kakuto chojin on here!
Hope you enjoyed it!

[Mortal Kombat Armageddon] is the GOAT 😎👌
Armageddon is WAY too big of a game to be on the PS2,
the PS3 would've been better to the point where all the true Fatalities wouldn't be scrapped.
Yea, please do a follow-up video for this. So many more 3D fighters on XBox to talk about.
Damn! The Xbox has always been my favorite console as a kid back. Had the OG, 360, One and the Series X or S! Had best Xbox exclusive games on there. But i feel bad for the Ps5 and Nintendo Switch. I miss Def Jam Fight for NY. One of my favorite games of all time. Such a classic
As an Arab, I apologize for it’s banishment.

I miss 3D fighting games. I wish the 80's and 90's wouldn't consume everything
dead or alive was mindblowing when I first tried on DC and only better on xbox I haven't really stuck with it as much since but wow
Totally agree! Deception is my favorite, but all of them are good fun.
Bloody Roar is mu favorite, love that series so much.
Will always be here for new original Xbox content
Thank you!
I remember when i got my og xbox the first games I ever brought for it was DOA ultimate and nfs underground.😂😂
Def Jam was a masterpiece.
Kakuto Chojin and Tao Feng are ones that I think deserve a second chance with a remake especially to fix some of the combat issues because I see a lot of potential. Yeah I really wish Chojin had more to do because I feel like I would have really enjoyed it.
Yeah…at least the Mortal Kombat series started to make a good basis that expanded on the later entries after the rocky transition to 3D-ish with Sub Zero on N64 and Special Forces.
I wish I Xemu could run kakuto Chojin Back Alley Brutal Brutal well. It would look so good upressed a bit.
Def jam is a classic frfr

@nicksrandomreviews they are similar, I liked the training of the take over, wish it was on FFNY
@@nicksrandomreviews i dont like the ko mechanic in takeover, they nerf the fighting styles pretty hard like you have to run and punch to ko
@sandwiches1069 That's pretty much a Def Jam thing if you play a street fighter or martial artist.
Another great video! Have you done a review of Curse the eye of isis?
Not a full review yet, but it would be a great October pick.
@@campxbox i have the full original xbox library if you ever want me to mail a game in for you to review im willing to
@@mattklaczkiewicz4226 Thank you for the offer. I'll let you know if I need to!
Hello and welcome to camp xbox 3D fighting game time
You should try KOF Maximum Impact!
Soul Calibur 2 gets it own video🎉🎉
I made one a little bit ago if you are interested! ruclips.net/video/8-t-CRL45XY/видео.html
TAO FENG WAS THE SHIT!!!!! Game was a really good fighting game
Def jam NY is easy the best fighter for this generation. I still play it here and there on my steam deck 🎉❤
Dead or alive is so underrated I actually prefer the gameplay over tekken so fast pace easy to pick up id take it over tekken every day
Def jam fight for new york is best fighting game in history
Dead or alive 3 the best on Xbox original
Ah Dead or Alive. I have all the games. Im thankful they are backwards compatible on the Xbox One and Series
I re-downloaded 6 and get games regularly with people of different skills. It made me look at the old games and they sill hold up so well.
❤❤❤
No fight club???? Invalid list
All these can get a remake
I do not think of new death jam game should be by es it should be by rock star
Terrible list, no Bloody Roar and Soul Calibur 2 😂
I bought a ps3 modded it just to get ps2 games
Xbox was always better than ps2 and I wish it got more love.
The Xbox is definitely underrated, but the PS2 is also really good. It was a great generation for gaming!
🫡
The 1st game was just a tekken ripoff😂
Ps2 and GameCube>>>>>>
