I used to rock an iPad Air as my portable computer but when my gaming PC broke I decided to pickup a MacBook Pro and this changed things for me. I always ran into the limitations of iPad OS when I was doing productivity task, specifially Word and Excel. I would turn to my PC/MacBook to finish things off properly. I recently sold the Air and swapped to an iPad mini and the difference between the iPad mini and MacBook is much clearer than with the Airs and Pros.
@@mananparekh_I doubt it. I am leaving ipad and apple altogeather for HP Spectre x360, with Windows. Both are ages more advanced than anything apple has to offer. plus windows is a way better piece of software. today apple is a buggy piece of shit MS used to be, and MS is a shiny new polished stable and powerful OS. so yeah. after 15years of All Apple, I am very excited to go back to MS and never look back.
When I travel I bring my iPad for use as a second monitor with sidecar. It would be great if the iPad had a true terminal / unix env, and I could get light coding done on it, since taking out the 16" isn't always convenient. I used to use an older iPad for school and I found it super frustrating for doing a lot of things, but great at note taking. That was before a lot of features were added to improve the experience, but now I just use it for the typical iPad things: videos, reading, FaceTime, and sidecar
iPad mini+ Macbook is the way to go! the mini covers all the iPad “stuffs” just fine and for serious work, Macbook is more reliable and efficient than 13inch iPad with magic keyboard
iPad Pro with 120Hz display is way better than iPad Air at notetaking. Buy at used iPad Pro (2018) would make much more sense. cost less than a new iPad air but with better screen and speaker. only thing lacking is the M-series SoC, which iPad OS cound't take much advantage of nowdays anyway.
Oddly I find my iPad easier to deal with than my MacBook Air. Maybe I’m just more familiar with it. Anyway, Apple makes money selling devices not by combining them. Or, a kinder way of looking at it is that they give you lots of choices. As a student you probably have a greater use for a laptop than do I. For me, it is coming down to just using a phone and iPad. I certainly could use a break on the high prices. Great devices but very expensive.
Haha I like that: they give you a lot of choices. Do you find that you’re able to manage your life without wanting a laptop, or still rely on your air for a few things?
I mostly use it for work when the larger screen makes a difference. But my work amounts to simple tasks. How do you use your laptop or maybe you can make a nice video about that.
I see, do you think you could get by without the air if your ipad had a larger screen? I generally use my laptop for research, excel, and video editing! Hmm maybe a vid on whats on my Mac or a few apps that i like? Thanks for the suggestion!
Similar case. I want to add that for me IpadOs is fantastic. Light, responsive and fast. I open my iPad and there it is. In a second. I have a MacBook Air and I love it. Battery is eternal. But I barely use it. I’m an illustrator, and the Apple Pencil is perfect. No wacom tablet is near. So…I’m an iPad guy, still with my 2022 M1 chip working fine. And an iPad mini for the road.
Your so underated bro hope you make it big one day
Thank you bro, really appreciate that!
Nice video bro. By the way… where I can find the wallpaper?? 1:50
Thank you! I got this wallpaper from Unsplash from a creator named Matteo Catanese
@@mananparekh_ thank you bro :)
100% agree
I use iPad for reading and making art. I'm getting the new pro only for art, which provides more maximum layers in drawings
Yeah layers in apps like procreate matter a ton and it costs a lot to get that extra ram for those layers unfortunately

Yes if they bring 120 hz to iPad mini I would definitely be interested in that
I would love to have a real computer in an iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard form factor over a traditional boring MacBook any day.
Completely agree! Hoping they deliver this June!

Yup, was on a plane recently and my iPad came in handy in that moment for reading and watching. Still a very niche use-case that allows iPad to shine

Agree on this front! I wonder if they’re going to give iPad mini some more love soon, was disappointed to see it was left out of May event

That’s a good point about the refresh rate, which is unfortunately a differentiating feature. Good idea to get an older pro for that purpose
