@@af2585 I think since the tiles are already glued down (which using a strong glue is important), then going back in with grout makes the most sense. Especially since that’s always put on tile to finish it. But once the grout is dry you can leave it as is (grout comes in many different colors, so pick the one you like the most). Or you can do what I mentioned and add some paint on top of the grout with a thin paintbrush
Lino is good, too, because it has a bit of flex. Most tile isn’t perfectly smooth on the back so that it will adhere to the grout. Gluing onto a stiff wooden board isn’t quite as stable as gluing onto lino. 👌🏻

Anything put together with "hot glue" will fall apart in mear moments. If you're serious about your projects learn to use real adhesive, hot glue is good for ...hummm, absolutely nothing
Consider buying stone sealer (like $10) and it’ll really make the marble pop. Maybe grouting it too could be fun.
Ooooh doing a grout and then adding some gold paint down the seams would really elevate it

I would have used a press and stick tile for the bottom. Then you wouldn't need the hot glue. And the game board would have a nice finished bottom.

Literally did snap off straight. You tried to hide it but there’s a big chunk missing from the vinyl tile you attempted to snap.
Well, the underside of the checkerboard doesn't need to look pretty. He just needed a border to glue the pieces of the wooden frame for a clean finish
