Picked this up today, hadn't planned on it but was a bargain I couldn't pass on. Hoping I can get it to the table.

Add the "Visitors from the Rhine Valley" for more balanced visitor cards.

Sounds great thanks - how do we get them, are they part of the expansion? We have Tuscany, but haven’t opened it yet...

      @@BoardOfItReviews They're a separate expansion.

Good review. I feel the game really needs the Tuscany board if you are playing frequently.

Thank you! 😊 We have the Tuscany expansion ready to go - been desperate to open it but the last couple of times we’ve played since it arrived, we’ve had a new player so wanted to get them used to the basic game first. I think next time we’ll get it out though!

@@BoardOfItReviews I find the teach easier on the Tuscany board. Granted don't use the structures and only introduce the stars. For some reason having all 4 seasons make things flow better in planing and the fields to bottle flow clicks much faster. Having the stars also gives people an easy way to snag a card or money they might be short on. Interested if your millage will be similar or not.

I kitted my Viticulture out with the metal coins (didn't like the feel of the cardboard), meeple stickers and dolls house wine bottles (for VP markers and payment tokens. These were available cheaply from AliExpress). Also didn't like how things didn't fit into the standard box so purchased one of those Folded Space inserts to make everything fit nicely. All sounds a bit OTT but they really do enhance the game.
Oops .. forgot to mention the card sleeves! You gotta have card sleeves if you're munching snacks.
Favourite wines include BIG BOLD Barossa or McLaren Vale Shiraz (Syrah). 😀

That sounds 👌🏻 Viticulture is for sure one of our staple games we’ll likely keep in our collection forever so it sounds like it’s worth doing some upgrades for us!

🤔 Not sure on whether to get this or Villainous. Have you played Villainous? (Disney or Star Wars)
Wines: Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva (Grand Reserva is overpriced for the taste difference) or Malbec of any quality 😂🧐

Unfortunately we haven't but from what I understand it's a bit of a lighter game, more of a family weight game but one that is popular. I don't think we'd personally enjoy it that much as we prefer meaner games. Viticulture isn't difficult, bit it's defo a little more complex than family weight and a bit more serious.
