I would hardly say that, I mean their sons are amazing but it's not as though dorn is mediocre just because he wants to believe that his brother is a good person, Dorn thrives on logic, and this situation is not logical, he loved his brother like any human would, horus was one of his mentors if I'm not mistaken, And rogal always wanted to be like his big brother(I know that Horus technically isn't his big brother but it works) I've always found the primarchs to actually be rather human, and (for the most part) compelling because of their human qualities, which whether we want to admit it or not they all have

@@benjyyx I guess I didn't really explain myself well so I'll just elaborate, everything you just said is correct, but it doesn't really negate my point. The comparison has been made many times that the primarchs are the child prodigies who try really hard to hide their autistic tendencies, and of all of them Dorn really shines in some very specific areas, he's the one who thrives when everything is logical, when he can tactically make sense of a situation he thrives, but when his worldview is shattered, when the thing he is presented with (IE the most loyal son betraying his father) doesn't make logical sense he would try to find any other logical solution, (this sounds dumb and dumb it may well be, but the primarchs were believed to be the closest thing to the emperor, and therefore Dorn could believe that one of the emperor's sons would never betray him, because that would be Petty, meanwhile the space Marines might still possess some of the human qualities, which could lead to them committing treason) or it could be something as simple as dorne having his worldview shattered and looking for any reason to keep it the way it used to be, like I said he thrives upon logic, and everything before the heresy made sense, and after Horus betrayed them, the scene with Darrow is representative of dorn's mental breakdown, he is able to cope with everything and rationalize it to a point that it all makes sense, but that initial shock of Revelation shattered his worldview and his basis for what is logical, so if any of what I'm saying makes sense, dohrn when he's adjusted to a situation acts very logically, but if you try to present him with anything that lives outside of his worldview, he freaking hates it, but with garro specifically, he could be given evidence that made him believe that Horace did what he was told he did
