The best thing is when you find clients that would pay for your style. So you are having fun and you are getting paid to do what you love

As a freelancer sometimes I think i'm the only one with this kind of lifestyle, particularly where I live. Watching these kind of videos are so important and inspiring to me. I also struggle with going to bed early, I was always like that but usually at 4am. I'm going at 2 am since the start of this year and can't go far from that now. For some reason it was a real relief to hear you go to bed at 1/2 am. I really struggle to get an early night and I feel it really impacts my productivity the next day. I don't think i'll ever be one of those people who can go to sleep at 10pm lol
Glad you could relate, I cant help buy stay up late. Earliest I go to bed is 12. I do try to still get up around 9 though which helps.
It was refreshing watching this video reminded me of how I used to start my day usually about 10:00 a.m. I would get up around 8:00 take a walk around the neighborhood , have a light breakfast and then start reviewing things that needed to be done for that day. Officially start taking calls about 10:00 a.m. I have sent stepped away from that started into a whole different industry and now that I'm in this new industry it makes me long for being creative again so I'm looking for new inspiration and channels to help me with a smooth transition back into the creative industry. I joined your channel I look forward to new information that you will be putting out and I'll review your previous posts. Thank you for sharing.
We actually work in a very similar way. I really like to see that you do a good amount of research. It seems that a lot of designers now, don’t realize how much of a role that plays on the process.

Great content on Graphic Designer. Word advice how to sleep early and wake up early. Make it mandatory. It will take time to adjust mentally. Give it a month or two month to notice why you can't and can sleep at 9pm. Exercise help or press yourself to some extend physical activity. Anyways I'm just passing by and leaving a comment. Really enjoyed watching this, as a younger designer it's cool to see small things that I always mess up being done effortlessly by you, whether it's shit like grabbing a notepad before you start the call and not midway, or eating something light in the morning (very often I'll eat junk and feel lethargic), and those Tacos looked fire :)

I’m in college and looking to pursue graphic design. I really enjoy being creative and putting ideas into something people and visually see, but I also enjoy working with my hands. Would you recommend this field for me?
I'm really not a day person. No matter what I eat or take I will still fall asleep during the day, even if I go to bed early. Most of my design process begins around 6pm.

hey jesse! i have a question do you currently support yourself fully? and have you bought everything you own such as like the computers etc i wanna be a full time artist but i have been having trouble understanding how I will be able to fully support myself so I can buy whatever i need without needing to ask parents etc you know what i mean? sorry if its kind of a personal question but some advice would be so great thank youu
My advice would be this. It's going to take time but learn your craft. Learn and create stuff all the time. Look at old design books and media from the past and take notes on anything that inspires you. It'll help you develop your own style too. Keep creating new media. Once you feel confident, don't be afraid to raise your rates as you need to. You'll need to learn a lot about business and negotiating as well. Focus on the big clients, but at first take it small and learn the process of the deal. Focus on bigger clients as you feel more comfortable speaking with the business owners. Look at your finances and start a budget. This will let you know how much you need to charge to live how you want. We believe in you, now go do it!

Cool stuff, I dropped a like! I'm actually a Copywriter and looking at making a career change into Graphic/Motion Design. Know any good places to start? Should I focus on mastering the tools first (i.e. Adobe Suite) or the basic Graphic Design principles (i.e. Typography)?
Design principles are far more important than any specific design programs

Do you have any type of degree or cert in graphic design? Is getting one worth it?
I have a BA in communication design and I think getting a degree or not is a very nuanced subject and is different from person to person.
This is ridiculous, i have been busting my ass my whole life and still broke, this guy is just chilling, doing actual work for 2-3 hours a day and lives in a giant house, has stuff worth probably 50 000 usd in his house and lives like a king. Are you selling you posters for a 1 000 usd each or what?
I work a lot more than 2-3 hours a day... For the sake of the video I wanted to help make it more entertaining and dynamic. It took me a while to get to where I am and lot's of nights/weekends putting in the work. I only aim to help or entertain people with my videos and I wish you the best in getting to the place in life that you want to be.
