I do my best to provide a variety of Home Theater Tours, although I really don’t have much control of which ones become available to share on the channel.
My in home dream theater in my attic was all done DIY. I spent hours on the layout and speaker placements & spent weeks on the build out. It was very satisfying and relaxing working on the room daily for months. Much of my equipment was purchased following Youthman’s reviews and tips. Michael was my personal designer and tech guru by proxy! The equipment is an JVC NZ8, Marantz SR8015, B&W speakers and Martin Logan surrounds, SVS Subs, Emotiva amps etc. My configuration is 9.2.4 system and it sounds amazing. Saved tons of money going the DIY route and spent the savings on the equipment instead. The experience was very rewarding. All thanks to Michael and the Youthman channel. Thank you for reviews and guidance. I couldn’t have do it without The Youthman Channel!
Michael, this is one of my favorite HT videos to date. You've honed your your interviewing skills to the highest level. Ike is a super nice guy, and has made many very intelligent decisions. - This HT will rock once it's completed. All done affordably, working around obstacles with realitive ease. - Cheers!
Love this practical yet luxurious theater! It’s REAL and simple and awesome! Great job Ike! You have 90 or 95% of what $100K theater costs and shows us how to keep things real!
My little humble Home Theater. I built it myself. Down in the basement. A 25ft x 13ft room. I love it. It's for me built by me. It is a 7.3.4 DTS-X Dolby Atmos. Most of us not rich. Most of my equipment. Are from the pawnshop.
I love the DIY HTs the best. It's actually attainable for us mere mortals. I mean, sure it's great to see a 100K set up as well, but that's like watching a Lamborghini review. I'd love to see more and more of these.

Great job. My theatre is about 19 years old. I want to upgrade to 4k and Atmos, but a new projector, receiver and 4k player is a big financial hit, especially when everything's working great
I love seeing these DIY home theatres because it’s slowly attaianable these 15k+ setups just aren’t realistic for most blue collar home owners! Keep ‘em coming!
This is a great video. Good to see decisions made by Ike. Not many people have perfect rooms and compromises and problems need to be overcome and solved. Love to see more of this DIY content. I hope Ike finishes his room soon. Did you ask which movie he was going to watch first ?
This is totally awesome. What a likeable guy. And what a beautiful home cinema. Top video. Thanks for the tour of this great home cinema. Greetings from the Netherlands Limburg Maastricht. Peace and love and of course Home cinema..... 💯%✌🏾🌍😘
Really enjoyed the video and Ike is a cool guy, and I like how he stuck to his game and did it his way . Great going Michael you always give us great contents, you get us pumped for the next level on our own journey of HT. Good luck Ike doing a great job and the rack, I was just about to build a unit but maybe not now.
It’s suddenly occurred to me that we all have VERY different definitions of “budget.” I love that he bought refurb but that’s a $5500 projector. His screen is $2000. His subwoofers are $1000 each. Not even going to get started on his rack. It’s budget but not MY budget. :)
You are correct. Everyone’s budget is different. When you compare this to Storm Audio, Perlisten, Trinnov, Christie etc, this setup is super budget friendly.
Agree with all the other guys. Great guy and great HT! It so easy to get caught up in the hype of new and expensive products. Sometimes one forgets to enjoy what you have. Great vid!
I was keen on Atmos HT until Techno Dad told us we need no less than 6 height speakers for Atmos. I get his bouncing ball video but suddenly 5.1 is looking mighty good ;)
Curious how you demonstrate a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos system recorded on stereo mic, uploaded and compressed by RUclips to be viewed by over 1/2 of my audience on their mobile devices.
Good evening from the uk, I wish we could get the monolith 11chanel amp in the uk but I do have 2 monolith 15inch subs that you reviewed many thanks for that I love them , any chance of reviewing the b&w ct7.4 or ct7.3 that would be fab.
Love watching all your videos and I just want to keep up but it's impossible to keep up to date in the beautiful world of home cinema.. Just one question please if you would.. I have an Onkyo AVR and it only allows me to select.. 4 or 6 ohms in the speaker settings but my speakers are 8ohm.. What should I keep it on I have 7.1 set up.?
I see these lavish home theater setups that are made from unobtanium and I get so discouraged. I just want an excellent sounding setup for movies and games.
There’s no reason to get discouraged when you see an ultra high in home theater. I can appreciate a Ferrari and a Bugatti, even though I’ll likely never drive one, much less own one.
Do you or Ike have the link to that av rack he bought? $100 is the best price I'VE EVER heard, I clicked on the link in your description to buy one, but that takes me to the home page, when searching for av racks I only see one for $800. Any pointers greatly appreciated.
I realize not everyone’s idea of budget friendly is the same. But $20,000 for a dedicated Home Theater with a Star ceiling is definitely budget friendly. There are PLENTY of guys spending $80,000 or more in their dedicated home theaters.
I like seeing the more attainable home theater solutions.

Yeah no kidding...
@@Youthman what movie is ur favourite to watch in your home theatre ?
I don’t have a single favorite. I have many movies that I enjoy. Really have high hopes for Top Gun Maverick.

Often times having 6 Atmos speakers will not sound as good as 4. Jonathan has done some extensive testing comparing the two layouts.
@@Youthman cool. It's tough keeping up with you guys.

will you stick with equipment only or expand into theater building such as soundproofing?
I do not have the ability to build theaters. I had a friend help build mine. I can only connect gear, setup, calibrate etc.

I think its a Guilford of Maine Sona Acoustical and Guilford FR701 Fabric

The cheapest way to get a 7.1.4 equivalent system is to buy a Samsung Q990B or Q950A
Can you post up where to buy used amps?
Craigslist, Audiogon, Facebook Marketplace, Youthman Classifieds, OfferUp, EBay….
how do those OSD amps compare to like emotiva and outlaw?
We used one at MWAVE to power a $100,000 pair of speakers.
OSD & Outlaw amps are similar. OSDs perform really well
