      Thanks for the comments, room size is roughly 4.7 metres by 3.2 metres. The fabric and tracking are from Cinema Build Systems, you can have different types of materials so everything is bespoke. It's one of the smaller cinema rooms we've created but shows how versatile spaces can be when they're completely custom made.

Maybe a more comprehensive look at the decision-making process and also insights into room acoustics and seating arrangements etc. This cinema seems really well built and you guys have done a great job with the room size etc. Look forward to more (in-depth videos) in the future. We would enjoy knowing the costs of components, labor, etc. time frame for conversion et Al. Again fantastic job. For me it feels to little personal. I have had 2 cinema rooms in my two homes. And the most important thing to make a cinema room work is to give it something of you. That could be posters of films you like. Maybe a personal sofa and something else. To make it like this will alway feel unpersonal. It is nice. It is clean. But it is not mine. I can say this by experience.

    All that and you put a 110” screen? May as well put up a OLED 100” screen instead of a projector.
    I really don’t see any reason to use projectors anymore with screen that small, when I built mine I went with a minimum of 15’ and if I had the room I would have gone to the 25’ screen in 8K.
    Getting ready soon to build a total new building and have a 35-40’ screen, staircases seating, and Auro-3D sound. I am also going to be adding additional speaker wires in the floor as I am sure that is the next thing they will be adding to movies, have to add the sound of walking through leaves, splashing puddles,
    And something making noise by your feet.
    Soon movies will be a totally new world experience for views, only thing better would be a holographic room like on Star Trek NG or actually being there.
    Who would have known back all those years ago when moving pictures started out with a black and white projector and someone playing a piano that we would have the theaters of today.

    • @rosstee
      @rosstee 2 года назад

      This is in the UK, and in an average-sized UK home judging from the exterior at the beginning, so rooms generally aren't very big. It can still be worth using a projector rather than a TV for the more authentic cinema style image and ability to place speakers behind the screen etc. Plus projectors are still definitely the best value if you want a screen 100"+.

    • @roccos.5621
      @roccos.5621 2 года назад +1

      While a 100" OLED screen would be amazing -- even with a tiny 55 inch OLED I struggled like no other to get my center channel as high as possible. But I am an audio purist; my L and R are identical to my center (Bookshelf speaker). Therefore the only way to: 1) have a screen whose center is at eye level, and 2) have the center channel audio come from the same level as the L and R (again, close to the center of the screen), is to use an acoustically transparent (ideally woven) screen. Technology doesn't quite exist yet to solve for this issue (an acoustically transparent TV, effectively). So even smaller than 100 a projector can absolutely still be worth it in terms of audio performance. There is no question that a TV will be brighter and have better contrast/color saturation. But for me, I can tolerate a really good but not perfect picture -- I cannot tolerate anything less than truly great sound.

    • @texast2595
      @texast2595 Год назад

      Apart from all the reasons Rocco mentioned for having a projector over OLED, one more reason is they now have a projector that puts out an image even BETTER than an OLED tv, that's right, not just on par with one, but better, and it can project into screens 300" and even bigger. Of course it's very pricey, but probably not much more then a 100" OLED tv
