You know about Prostate Cancer Active Surveillance but did you know that inactive surveillance? It's not surgery or radiation. In fact, it's even less treatment than active surveillance. Dr. Lin is Professor with Tenure and Chief of Urologic Oncology in the Department of Urology, the Director of the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research, and holds the Pritt Family Endowed Chair in Prostate Cancer Research at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Why can't PSMA PET scans be used instead of biopsies? If someting (new) is found, a biopsy can then be done. So much less invasive.

If they would just stop doing transrectal biopsies, the hospitalizations and bleeding would immediately stop.
