  • Most fast food workers in California will be paid at least $20 an hour to give more financial security to a historically low-paying profession. Cali BBQ owner Shawn Walchef discusses how he will implement dynamic pricing in his restaurant to offset some of the wage increase.

      @@peryole How does the law not affect him? The $20/hr fast food minimum wage affects every industry. It means every business now has to have a $20/hr minimum wage just to compete with getting enough people interested in working for you. Every job paying more than $20/hr has to scale up and pay more.
      Let me guess, you live in your parent's basement? $20/hr still isn't a livable wage in California. How many people living on welfare working minimum wage jobs will get off welfare with this new hike of $20/hr? Zero. They'll still be on welfare complaining about how $20/hr isn't enough. Just wait until the true effects of the wage hike comes into play. Those people getting $20/hr won't have the spending power they were promised. Trust me.

      @peryole Месяц назад +3

      @@KingKwon I didn't care if every fast food place in this country tanks today. It's always been about greed, it's a trillion dollar industry that is subsidized by tax payers.
      I've owned my own properties since i was 26, both my parents are dead, they taught me to get an education and own as much as I can gain in case of unemployment so that I'll have to rely on no one to survive. It doesn't change the fact that people need living wages and the tax payer shouldn't be on the hook by having to make up the difference while the wealthy indulges in everything they can take from us. I've never been greedy and have always been okay being comfortable.
