Amazing! I'm going to start my new website from scratch, moving on from page builders like oxygen or elementor or even bricks, in favor of gutenberg mainly for performance and scalability - stability issues with page builders. Gonna implement these tips =) amazing job again bro.
Yeah, I was wondering the same... But, unfortunately, the WP block editor does NOT handle it well 😅 (as you can see by how things didn't line up on the front and back end. Plus... if you don't know how to use absolute, then you can get yourself in a lot of trouble. It's not super intuitive and I imagine it would result in a lot of broken site and support requests. I'm not sure they will add it! lol
@@TheAdminBar yeah that's the main problem! In fact I recently asked it to the support and they said, "Yes, position: absolute is in our plans for the future. Once we find a user interface and how to make it work well within the editor ". It may take some time but at least we know it is in their plans :D Ps: I forgot, the trick with svg exported by figma and used as pattern: really loved it!
Kyle - Definitely on the next level. Your approach to CSS is minimal and does the responsive job very nicely. I've struggled with optimizing some really nice desktop layouts for mobile, especially when some sort of sub navigation is involved - classic example is vertical tabs. Nice layout with 10 stacked tabs and content to the right. Goes nuts on mobile as the nav will stack on top.
😂 Yes, tabs can be super difficult. With the GB tabs block, I've been doing a horizontal swipe thing for tabs on mobile (I got a video on that too 😅). I don't LOVE the UX, but it's better than people missing the content (which happens when the tabs are all stacked up and take up more than 100vh). People are pretty used to swiping on phones.
Great Video Kyle. Your videos are always something i look forward to... can you do a video on ACF blocks and generate blocks pro.. In a detailed way please.
Sorry for the typo. I meant ACF . I have watched some of your video on the same but i was hoping if you could come up with video on using acf and gb pro in future. Thanks. I really appreciate your effort.
Hummm you almost have to try to make GP/GB run slow. Could be hosting? Could be other plugins? Could be unoptomized files? By itsself, GP and GB are going to give you perfect 100% scores.

This is really cool stuff Kyle. Please make more videos on "makeovers". GB is powerful but we need more powerful person like you behind it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Lots more queued up!
Wow, love to see more videos like this. Thanks for making it.

This is a great demo, thank you for this. I can't wait to try it out.
Thanks, Greg! Glad you enjoyed! I appreciate you leaving a comment and liking the video ❤
Awesome stuff dude! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🙌
At first I thought it would be a very simple task. However, a lot of interesting new things could be learned. Thanks a lot.
Right? That's the great thing about doing stuff like this. It forces you to find some of the less-obvious things!
Awesome, love those kind of videos Kyle, really helpful! I hope GenerateBlocks team will put soon inside the editor position : absolute!

In your next video could you please recreate page navigation.
Thanks!
Can you give me a specific example?
@@TheAdminBar I'll chime in here - would love to see how you created your entire menu system on TheAdminBar
Thank you for your very interesting video! I wanted to know how the .wi1 shortcut works?
It's just my shortcut for TextExpander (if you're not sure what the is, it's worth a Google!)
Great vid
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
🎉 great
Maybe I missed it but dumb question - I assume you set page layout to full width?
Great question - yes. I set up an element that turns EVERY page into full width (unless I specify differently).
Thanks. How do you speed up generatepress? My website is almost fresh and i cant even pass the web vitals 😢

@@TheAdminBar you should make tutorial on how to optimize your wordpress)
Please at least one video on mega menu. How to create mega menu using GenerateBlock?
If I can figure out how to do it accessible... I will 😅
I couldn’t get this to work.😢 followed the tutorial step by step
