- Don and the Buckaroos perform The Band’s hit, “Up On Cripple Creek,” in Oslo, Norway, in 1970. By the late 1960s, Don had begun to experiment with different sounds - see that in action in this video.

Don Rich was such a freaking bad ass talent. Such a shame to lose him so early. Imagine the things he'd have done.
Buck was never the same after Don passed. Their chemistry and harmonies were uncanny. May they both RIP.
I just loved Don. Always.
This version totally blows me away. The singing, guitars and funky country rhythm. Love it!
Buck was in the box-office checking the cash box!
Good Don liked his Rock And Roll it's sucks we lost him so soon the guy was very talented guitar player RIP Don Rich
Don was one of the best guitar players in country music. And never got the recognition he deserved. He should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Don Rich was sooo cool.
Heck, yeah!
Amazing video and sound quality. Thanks for sharing a bad ass performance
This is special!
Wow . Awesome.
Me: "does anyone have change for a dollar?"
Don & the boys: *reaches straight to the bottom of their pocket* 🎶🎶
With both Doyles- Buckaroos were insane Bako Twang
Yes!
I'd like to see the rest of that show if there was more songs
Me too.
It’s on the Live in Scandinavia record.
Are the audience nailed to their seats lol.
Hell they barely moved when Otis Redding was there a few years earlier.
I attended the Opry a few times in the 1970's and most of the audiences were laid back------almost like they were in church. These people were intently listening to their favorite stars and their music. They politely clapped between songs, but they didn't have Grand Mal seizures like rock concert goers did!
This cornball square crowd was not ready for this.
I love this cover
I believe this is filmed in 1970. With bass player Doyle Holly on guitar.
Damn good cover!
I grew up in Big LC! Lake Charles LA!

Awesome!
Always smiling
Really Great Job ❤
Mind. Blown.
ahhhh this is incredible
Right on the money.💰
❤❤❤
In my opinion I feel like Don Rich and the Buckaroos did not just this song, Cripple Creek but also, The Night They Drove Ol Dixie down better than the original versions cause of their unique vocals and take on them! Nothing against the group The Band though! 😊
I love Don Rich like he could walk on water, and this cover is certainly up there…but it not in the same league as the original. Sorry
Can't agree at all. Nothing wrong with this cover but it is nowhere near as good as The Band singing their own song, imo. But the world is a greater place with the fact that we all have different opinions on music
Equally as awesome.
It’s great but no.
I love Don Rich but this or their other covers can’t touch the Band by a mile. This has zero of the soul or feel of the original.
Unreal soooooo amazing 👏 the best cover of the Band I've ever heard Don rules.
Inckledink what does it mean 😅
Who’s the bass?
Doyle Singer
Thank you.
Doyle Curtsinger, originally named.
