Levon was the real deal…love his voice, love his drumming…a true American treasure…I had a cup of coffee & a slice of pie with him on an Autumn Saturday sitting at the counter at a diner in Woodstock in the early ‘90s (THE diner in Woodstock?) he was beyond friendly; we talked shop and was sincerely humble & appreciative when I complimented his work with The Band…a very cool 20 minutes; the guitar playing here is pretty damn groovy too (not to mention it’s always great to see Ringo drumming on someone else’s material)

Levon Helm. A gift, and yes he is now in another body.

Oh to have been there. Levon was the greatest. Rick there too and the much missed Dr John. What a line up.

Man that is one stacked lineup for the All Starr Band, probably the best I've ever seen. Not mentioned in the description also, Garth Hudson, one of the original band members alongside Rick and Levon. Amazing

Pretty mindblowing to see and hear this, especially hearing Joe and Nils playing off each other, Rick and Levon doing what they've done together since they were just kids, and just seeing Billy Preston and Dr John made me choked up a bit.

Dozens of their songs kept my spirits up over the years...and it all started with Cripple Creek...had no idea Garth was doing that essential part on an organ.

Man, I miss this. Helm, Danko et al, Keltner, one of the best skin thrashers ever, and of course RS, Dayam, wotta line up & crew.

So much swing in the drums on this song. But with these great drummers it’s no wonder!
