How old were the la bella’s in this video? Because it sounds so awesome, i hope they’re at least a year old 😭 so i know that it’ll last a lifetime with this great tone
The strings were about 5 months old here and they still thump extremely well. They might have gotten just slightly 'thuddier'(?!) since then, in a good way (I have some newer videos for comparison) but the tone is there. Not planning on ever replacing them haha
@@LitoLevenbach could you give me a link to the newer videos? I was watching a few reviews of the Squier Mustang CV bass, and it has a few issues on QC.. but i don’t mind if the tone is there.. it just sounds awesome... 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@ziggycross i ended up saving to get a Noble preamp and an Ampeg Amp 1st because i already have a squier VM jaguar with flats.. but this definitely be after those 2... Noble Preamps are like Ampeg B15 in a box.. definitely will make the mustang sound more vintage than a vintage 😂
Hello Lito. Did you shielding the bass? I have the same vintera and it makes a lot of noise with the tone pot in the upper position. Congratulations, you have a great groove.
Thank you David!! No I haven't done extra shielding, and yes unfortunately it is rather noisy in some circumstances. I have actually been thinking about doing something about it. My old P Bass didn't have nearly the same amount of noise for some reason.
From what I've gathered I'd say: Vintera for the old school vibe (plus it does feel like higher quality), Player for versatility/practicality (slimmer neck, truss rod access, more sound options). I'd actually like to have both haha
@@harryt92 Thank you Harry! The difference is similar to P vs J necks but short scale. The Player also has a flatter radius which is more 'modern'. Matter of preference really, those with huge hands might find the narrower neck a bit cramped
Good eye! I actually now only have the Player series for the two pickups and thinner neck. I quickly put La Bellas on it as well, but if I had two Mustangs I'd probably keep roundwounds on one.
Thank you! It took me a really long time as well, but it was definitely a eureka moment when I finally got these La Bellas haha. They have such a specific sound but it works wonders if it's what you're after
Higher tension than the stock roundwounds, I believe less stiff than the D'Addario Chromes that I tried and disliked. I love these for the real old school tone and 'buttery' feel (for the lack of a better word haha)
I see the quarantine look.
yep haha
Sympathy for the Devil dance style!
That bass sounds killlller
Thank you!
Nice vintage tone.
thank you! can't go wrong with the La Bellas
classic tone

Lol, it's nice to hear someone do a bass solo !!
haha good to hear, I might do more...
Playing is great, but surprisingly the combo of the flat wounds and those pickups doesn’t work for me…
Thank you! Valid opinion of course. I do keep my action slightly higher these days for less clank in the sound
Totally getting these strings for my Mustang. love these basses.
Cool!!
tasty sh*t
th*nku B!
All my basses use flatwounds, to me the best, especially Labella Deep Talkin strings.
I tried different flatwounds before, but these just have that classic sound!
Great vid! Does this bass have neck dive sitting and standing? Thanks
Thank you! It's slightly neck heavy, but it's fine with a good strap. I figure lighter tuners would also help.
Wouahou quel groove!!! Yeah! 🙏🏻
Merci Alice!
This is awesome! Great grooves, keep it up!
Thank you! Working on more bass stuff

LITOOOO😍😍😍
holaaa
I have the same exact bass - sure is easier to play than the regular sized p fender bass! Hey! I’m only 5 even!
Good stuff! I also switched from a P bass
New cover with this setup: ruclips.net/video/28PU38MxOO4/видео.html
good job
Thank you!
this is my dreambass… also killer groove 🖤
Thank you very much!
Doedelbroeder? More like groovy-elbroeder
bagpipe funk has to happen now, broeder
So good.
Thanks!

I see that you have 2 mustang basses, what’s the difference between the two do you have different set ups for each?
