I rode the normal highness not the rs version, it has power that can be felt but the most mind boggling thing about the engine is the refinement. I mean it is sooooo smooth that I didn't even feel a single jitter, having a little jitter or buzz is fine after all an engine is running.
I am absolutely impressed with this engine... a big thumbs up to the honda engineers working behind the scene...
But don't get me wrong I am not trying to demerit hunter here. I recently rode the hunter as well and I must say that RE has done a great job, loved it as well..!

RS is anytime better.......Saying this after 1000 kms on my RS and 150 kms on friends hunter and 200 kms on friends hiness
Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations.
I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes).
After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare.
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC
I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations,
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC -
*Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles.
*Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC -
*Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost.
*Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable.
Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST.
Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture.
Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes)
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC -
*Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb.
Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic.
*Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features).
Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter.

The same thing about the foot rest in hunter i felt and i told to the service center sales person about it ..that it was touching my legs when i was getting feel of hunter 350...irritating

When Compared to Hunter 350,CB 350 RS has more advantages and is totally clear of the margin than Hunter but only thing in which hunter is Outscoring RS is Budget and Service Reach. Hunter has more service showrooms than Homda Bigwing for RS,bht depending upon the Service Quality and perfection And if you are the person who doesn't have the budget problem you can opt for 350 RS.

Honda definitely.. but ride it once. Because its too big for average indian build.
No doubt..cb350...the engine is unique and performance in the long run is amazing. Iam owner of h'ness riding for 20 months, 20k kms. No issues..sheer pleasure riding. Even now the engine feels new and swiftness is next level

Hunter 350 has its perks. But for the full potential enjoyment depends one one but bizarre factor. If a person were a relatively short person. Peak 350 experience

You can feel the more power also the engine. Super refined. Just matter of 35k. Dont go for hunter Trust me. Youll lose that money by service onn hunter

@Abhishek Mohite Even i'm i from Indore and Bigwing is just 1.5km away from my home, and now we have 2 bigwing in Indore....Honda has plan to expand bigwing in 105 cities so service centre reach will not be issue..i ride 390adv. And i'm planning to buy 2nd bike and 350 RS is on top in my bucket list...RS feels sooo premium compare to RE, Jawa and Yezdi.

Took test drive Hunter, 60 kmph it feels OK, but High speed cruising it will be quiet boring. In city manoeuvring is easy, looks too hunter scores more. Overall in budget hunter is Good.
Simple, if you have short of money go for re hunter or if you have money you can blindly buy Honda

@@frazafridi6316 u r getting sliper assist clutch which is must needed. Full led setup, more power than hunter and 140 top speed. And better ground clearance. And traction control for such off road conditions which is good enough. I think those giving 40k is worth imo.
