As CB Highness rider(daily communter & tourer) myself, it suspension is quite hard, although you can have confidence that it will never leave the the road, even if you are trashing on bad roads. The bike is extremely reliable. My personnel experience of 19 days trip of 5000kms solo(currently tripper touching to 30000km), I didn't got any problem, only thing it required was Chain Lubing(which all bike do). It can easily give you 400-430 km of tank range. I have also observed after this long trip the exhaust sound is evolved to be more bassy as compared to other Highness's(in a good way). Front fender is too short so all the mud will splash on your boots, the bike hardly goes after 125 km/h tops, after 110 km it struggles. Now I feel its quite under power in the top range, till 80 to 100 its butter smooth, low & mid range is jem if you can manage constant gear shifting. Servicing part is good, 6000kms or 6 months. It will cost you 4000 -5000 for each service(little expensive). Honda has trained it service mechanics well & good. I almost forgotten, 1st batch CBs had problems of wheel wobbling. So conclusion, great retro bike but outdated now, currently lots of competitors in the market, Upgrade is needed in these models. Go for the triumph Speed/Scambler 400 if you need more power, (why not HD x440, exhaust looks ugly). If you are still willing to buy, consider looking CB 350rs New Hue Editions. All the Best 😀😃🤩 BONUS TIP - Don't pressure wash your bikes, especially around electronics. 🤪🤞

@@raghavendranaik259 the only reason why Honda is selling lesser bikes than RE is because of lesser showrooms across the country, and India is filled with blind RE fan kids. I dont blame RE bikes, like them as well, but RE community is way toxic and cant really take it when other bikes in their same category, perform way better than them.
I rode both RE and honda Hness at same time, anyhow the Honda Hness have more edge than RE and hness looks unique than RE, hness has more refined and reliable engine, lightweight in traffics, thumpy bassy engine sounds very loud in quite places especially in tunnels that's why I love hness ❤
I had lot of confusions between choosing Royal Enfields new JSeries 350 cc bikes vs Honda 350 cc bike for my birthday. Finally I am going with Honda CB 350 (Classic Variant copy). Pros: 1. Excellent refinement at higher speeds also. 2. Seat length is bigger in CB350 2024 version(not highness or RS). So I can take my family easily. Wife and kids. Main deal change for me. 3. DLX Pro version with chrome finish is awesome. 4. Great customer service during showroom visit and test ride. 5. Traction control is highly needed for chennai roads due to Too many metro constructions going on with gravels everywhere. Even though for slower speeds. 6. Man the cushioning is excellent. Dint feel any discomfort for the 30 mins when I got stuck in traffic during test ride. 7. No vibrations are what so ever. 8. Exhaust sound is good. But Highness exhaust is better than the CB 350 one 9. Instrument cluster with lots of information. But optional dual instrument cluster(one same as today and another one for maps like himalayan) but at little higher cost would have been great. Cons: 1. On road price seems 2.7L now. I feel its quite high. Should be around 2.3 to 2.5L onroad based on variant. 2. Smaller review mirror. Seems inadequate in traffic. Have seen avenger mirror. Need to check if it will fit honda. 3. Accessories are not as much available in outside market for Honda compared to RE. 4. High service cost but seems better service than RE based on all the local RE service center reviews 5. Copying the Classic RE completely. Why honda why? Not much money for R&D ? Wont people think we bought RE and pasted Honda badging?
Smooth clutch, vibration and noise/clutter free engine and crisps throttle response is what makes ride on CB350 liberating ....you have to ride it to experience it and once you experience it , there is no going back

Same here meteor I final RE but luck by chance I got test drive of Honda rs. I just changed by mind and brought Honda rs. If u r rider and like to change gears this bike is for u.
same here.2 months back took the .test ride on meteor 350 then just took a 1km test ride on new my cb350rs now it becomes my part. CB350 RS provides a complete new experience better than any 350cc at this price range.
But Honda introduced CB350 in early 1970s in global market and this Indian version's looks are inspired from them only (along with the CB750 & CB500). CBs only gets compared with REs because the 350cc segment belonged to the REs and CBs have challanged it well, product wise
@@OpenAdventures it needed to be a twin back then to combat the vibrations of a 350cc. But modern tech can mitigate those vibrations on a single itself, so it's a single..
44:16 facts 💯💯💯 Exactly the reason I skipped these long stroke engines and went ahead with the speed 400. In terms of variant to variant comparison, the speed400 and classic 350 (alloy wheel) variants are actually closely priced ( or the RE costs more ), in terms of On Road cost.
Interesting discussion. 350 cc is REs bread and butter, they wont phase out these bikes anytime soon, these are aimed at the biker looking for old legacy machines who don't care much for power and performance and also looking for great mileage, the newer gen 450 cc engine products are for the power hungry riders. Triumph speed is in that category so i dont feel there is any comparison. My two cents
The guy who said its sound like splendor and other guy who said j series sound low... Here is tip remove the catalytic converter and put free flow pipe in that place and keep the original silencer and its sound so beautiful.....i have done this at 4000km and now my bike is at 14500km and it runs and sound so lovely ❤
Agreed with the assessment of cb350, once you get used to no vibration at 110-120, you won't like other bike which have vibrations. That's what making it difficult for me to upgrade from 😅
@@OpenAdventures like next bike mainly adventure touring with 40-50 ps power... RE Himalayan is a good choice but quality issue. NX500 looks very promising and then there is Benelli TRK 554 x 2024 upcoming model.
people who buy REs mostly don't watch and comment on RUclips videos. other brands buyers need more confirmation so they watch more reviews and comment more after the purchase.
100 ki ek bat, mere pass honda and RE dono ki bikes hai but Honda can never delete the emotions that RE has created in Indians Mind so RE will have more edge in 350 segment.
Japan is selling REs now and it's doing very well 😂. Uk and USA too have great RE sales. The new classic is brilliant! Absolutely fantastic. And it's selling even more when there are plenty of options. If you think RE was manly, then every man would be driving a tractor in the city. Classic bikes have superb comfort, stance, fuel economy and great low end torque.
Now that there are many other options available with better power in the same segments, people can go for them. But yes, certain things/elements/instances that can be felt on the honda 350s cant be experienced in/on any other machines. The bike may appear slow but its not slow enough and can be rode faster with better control in the city or highway or on any level twisties plus u also get traction control which will definitely help u in certain nervous moments on slippery roads/gravels/loose soil, and to add that slipper clutch making your life easier, and well the newer honda cb350s are equipped with bluetooth and navigations too (which was missing on 2022 models) and lot of color schemes available (which were only 2 back in 2022 for RS). So even after having so many options still people chose to buy cb 350 RS due to distinct appearance on the road and its great performance and refinement and value for money. All in all a great engineered product I would say except for few niggles which I can live with
I have been using Honda CB350RS for about 8 months. I have not faced any drawbacks so far. I just feel a little less power in the bike as per my riding style.
Few points missed. CB350 has traction control (needs to be discussed) and bluetooth. Classic has spoked wheel (puncture problem). If you go for cast wheels, price difference would be major. Speed 400 is a different bike ( high revving, high compression, liquid cooling) hence a different riding experience then these bikes. Ideal comparison would be the maverick or the x440 (both of which are air cooled classic thumpers for easy & relaxed riding)
As a person with both Honda bike and RE bike, RE has bad service centers but good parts availability and Honda has bad parts availability and good service centers. Now, for RE advantage lies in there are RE specialist workshops, although quite hard to find. Whereas, Honda spare parts can be ordered from online but are usually above MRP price and quite hard to source. For ride quality, both are extremely similar if you are not nitpicking. PS. If vibrations are an issue on any motorcycles, please stick to EVs.
I came from Hero Impulse, next to Pulsar RS 200 and was going for Himalayan but not satisfied. Hated RE for there extvagent inflated price. Little twigs which they made it sound exclusive. But as soon as I tested RE classic reborn. Fell in love with the motorcycle. Now I ride RE Classic Reborn chrome bronze edition. And I can end by saying no other motorcycle is as charming as the RE classic at low speeds.
40:44 I don't know how much it is in Bangalore but in kerala the paid services for cb 350 series is 1600 for semi synthetic oil and 2100 for fully synthetic oil.
same in Assam free service cost around 1700 rupees. paid will cost around 2k excluding any change part. Honda has AMC in Service which cost me around 9.4k for 5 service. which means if I'm not going to change any part within these 5 services then 9.4k will be my fixed cost for 5 services in Assam, Guwahati.

Infact you guys should have compared CB350 which is the latest model instead of CB350 RS when you compare the design and looks. Recently I bought CB350 and it looks so premium and it's fit and finish is top notch when compared to RE classic 350.
I completely agree with vivek. Since Indian people are so emotionally attached with bullet that too for so long so Honda tried to launch a bike with same engine capacity & somewhat similar design to that of classic 350. There's nothing wrong in it, ultmately the consumers should get a good quality product which should be highly reliable & easy to maintain & should not have to visit service centres frequently which is what matters at the end!! And honda did this quite well
Honda's CB classic series is almost 50 years old, it used to exist back in the 1970s and the current CB series is inspired from those bikes. Royal Enfield lovers please stop misguiding the world.
It is a copy. The Cb350 you are talking about was a rival of RD350. 1970 Honda CB350 was a twin cylinder 36 hp bike which has been replaced with CB300r, not CB 350.
So far there isnt any news on that. However an ADV model based on 350 cc where old himalayan 411 design is copied is upcoming. However not sure launch of the ADV model is in 2025
@raghavendranaik259 I think a new version should come this year. With a look towards future. New design, maybe same 350, 400 or 450 cc mein. Wit low seat height like Guerrilla. Cb350 with 20 BHP is low for a 350cc bike. New version with 30 BHP and 790mm seat height will hit the sweet spot.

But that was not in our country back then and it was only relaunched to grab the Classic market share in India. If u look at that model it was already more than 30 hp back in 1968. Where as now its only 20 bhp in 2020 (reintroduction). All I have to say is they could have reintroduced the same specs to this day and would have been a hit. Where as honda tried to mimic the power output and torque figures of an existant bike. Thats why I said it was a copy.

The uncle in shorts was most irritating. He completely highjcked the entire conversation. Every topic was about what he felt about it personally. And the point about Triumph Speed 400 - buddy the presence of a bike is equally as important as the power figures. Speed 400 is very small compared to these two bikes. Cb350 rs gives the best of everything, right from power, refinement, presence, reliability and comfort. Take it with a pinch of salt.
Mann.. I went over and over but none of you spoke about the suspension. The comfort of riding it in a pothole infested city like B'lore. 6th on the list for Speed400 last yr. Let it slip coz of heating which I felt was pretty high in stop n go traffic. tD was too short to even test the real city conditions And still deciding Y/N. Some say H'ness Suspension is good enough. Drove it too, and felt ok types. Saw your other video too, on Speed vs Scrambler. That was atleast more decisive and comprehensive.
Suspension on classic is more plush in comparison to the Honds cb350 rs. But on offroad RS is much more agile than classic. Rest u can take a test ride to decide.

Regarding the suspension on CB350 RS, you will feel it a little stiff in comparison to RE classic J series, however, I have taken it to offroads and surprisingly was well manageable on broken, extreme road conditions, i have tuned the rear adjustable 5 level suspension according to my riding style. And after completing beyond 30,000 kms i can still jump on speed breakers with ease. However, please dont compare it to the ADV bikes which have longer travel, although the less travel available is still great enough as it can take on extreme or no roads and my bike is the witness to that. P.S. You have to change the stock handle bar on RS for more comfortable touring and offroading/saddling

First I would like to thanks, Vivek, Ram and Raghu to invite me for great RE and Honda CB 350 RS discussion. It was a great breakfast together and we had live recorded opinion's for our respective bikes. I would say if you love Royal Enfield bullet or classic and it’s ur dream bike, don’t break your dream. Own it. It will give you a great satisfaction. Becoz bullet to boss or leader hi chalata hai yar. Why so, becoz the weight, the size, the real torque, the feel of suspension in city, and the power in up hills, will be fun with classic. Even if u have one company of one more person , the bullet will not make you feel it’s struggling in hills. His power ratio are planned very well with gears for hills and in city. It’s not a racing bike, it’s a real cruiser. Chalna hai toh bullet me chalo, will give u the feel of iron. When you will seat it’s very comfortable and it gives u best riding experience upto the speed 60-80 which is for an average Indian road bike speed limit. Don’t buy for racing. Buy this RE classic to feel the bullet and enjoy for ride with ur love once. People will definitely look at u when you are owning RE
The class of vitpilen is totally different. Its more of cafe racer with acceleration and top end speeds just like ktm 250 duke. So it will be having a shorter gear ratio in comparison to the 350 cc segments. If u feel that vitpilen is your choice of bike to ride, please take a test ride on the same and decide
Final dialouge of that RE is relaiable was so funny😂. Being an Ex bullet 350 uce owner and Ex INT 650 owner my experince taught me that even if RE makes a bike for 10 lakhs rupees they cannot be reliable as honda and other japenes bikes. RE 650s cost above 4 lakhs money now. The value for money proposition is gone and the quality of parts and reliability is very poor. You always have fear in mind that RE bikes will give you trouble in your valuable trips.
The roads we have are places where many can shit. And the govt regulations are playing on the automobile tech space. Can't keep criticising R.E just for the sake of becoming a very popular R.E critique. Let's wait for indian manufacturers to evolve into a international competition bandwidth, this gives us good products too. The regulations on speeding on highways is going to be more tougher going forward.
Great podcast/ debate. Been riding for 30 years now , owned RX100, RD350 ,Shogun and Samurai, KB 4S, in past .Presently own an interceptor 650 last 5 years, booked the Triumph 400s twice and cancelled twice ..recently bought a Bullet 350 Std J series.Of all the motorcycles I felt Bullet 350 hit the spot , it felt the most characterful, although lacks the annoying thump and vibrations of previous generation RE 350/500(i hated). It has a fine engine which runs Iike an automatic Swiss watch movement, which the owners can relate to ,bottom line ,Honda 350s feel like big commuters with no character and Triumph 400s look great but both lack soul and character engines are of Dominar 400 we all know. Classic /Bullet 350s are soulful beyond doubt and true Classics, built ground up not for performance or Speed but only for the feel good factor of riding , old school aircooled no frills motorcycle makes you smile everytime.Interceptor 650 for highway and Classic 350 for city. Younger generation will definitely disagree. CHEERS 🍻
26:19 same old justifications from RE owner, it gives you a good 'feel' of the bike. What the hell is this feel yaar? Vibrations? Let go of these childish fantasies and admit that the Japanese (copied or not) does everything better. Especially highway cruising. You get a classic and you see a highway, you will get bored because the bike's fitness is equivalent to that of an overweight Indian uncle.
What they mean by "feel" is the heavy crank on the RE which gives you that low end torque. As a result you achieve max torque at low rpms. Which is why arguably, the RE is better in the city while the honda takes it on the highway
There isnt any from the company. That one needs to be purchased after market. The one I have, I purchased, keeping touring and pillion back rest together in mind. There are plenty of designs and options available. However needs to be checked out according to our own preference
Honda highness has: Better brakes, better acceleration, less vibrations, better looking, better exhaust thump, better tank capacity, better clutch, slightly better mileage, better pricing compared to RE classic 350. There is no reason for buying RE classic Unless you are a"Bhakth" of RE😅

All the Best 😀😃🤩

Pros:
But Highness exhaust is better than the CB 350 one
9. Instrument cluster with lots of information. But optional dual instrument cluster(one same as today and another one for maps like himalayan) but at little higher cost would have been great.
Cons:
4. High service cost but seems better service than RE based on all the local RE service center reviews
5. Copying the Classic RE completely. Why honda why? Not much money for R&D ? Wont people think we bought RE and pasted Honda badging?
It's a honda retro bike copy launched way back ...
Thanks for your view and wish you the best with your new bike
Hope you bought the bike and are happy with it
Smooth clutch, vibration and noise/clutter free engine and crisps throttle response is what makes ride on CB350 liberating ....you have to ride it to experience it and once you experience it , there is no going back

True agree that Honda has challenged RE well. But the CB350 of the 70s were twin cylinder engines and are nothing like the ones made now
@@OpenAdventures See its no brainer why honda went for single cylinders. It's India and not Japan. HD also has done the same
@@OpenAdventures it needed to be a twin back then to combat the vibrations of a 350cc. But modern tech can mitigate those vibrations on a single itself, so it's a single..

Exactly the reason I skipped these long stroke engines and went ahead with the speed 400.
In terms of variant to variant comparison, the speed400 and classic 350 (alloy wheel) variants are actually closely priced ( or the RE costs more ), in terms of On Road cost.
Wow
Interesting discussion. 350 cc is REs bread and butter, they wont phase out these bikes anytime soon, these are aimed at the biker looking for old legacy machines who don't care much for power and performance and also looking for great mileage, the newer gen 450 cc engine products are for the power hungry riders. Triumph speed is in that category so i dont feel there is any comparison. My two cents

Thanks for your view

I agree I have chosen the latest CB350 Rs for these points
Cb350 rs wons 🏆 bro .
Thanks for filling in the gaps!
Traction control for slow bikes? 😂
Useless feature
As a person with both Honda bike and RE bike, RE has bad service centers but good parts availability and Honda has bad parts availability and good service centers. Now, for RE advantage lies in there are RE specialist workshops, although quite hard to find. Whereas, Honda spare parts can be ordered from online but are usually above MRP price and quite hard to source. For ride quality, both are extremely similar if you are not nitpicking.
PS. If vibrations are an issue on any motorcycles, please stick to EVs.
Well said. Thanks for your comment!

So according to that re owner, logic goes for a toss up until it feels good to ride 😂

Back rest for CB 350RS
There isnt any from the company. That one needs to be purchased after market. The one I have, I purchased, keeping touring and pillion back rest together in mind. There are plenty of designs and options available. However needs to be checked out according to our own preference
Honda highness has:
Better brakes, better acceleration, less vibrations, better looking, better exhaust thump, better tank capacity, better clutch, slightly better mileage, better pricing compared to RE classic 350.
There is no reason for buying RE classic Unless you are a"Bhakth" of RE😅
Thanks for your view
CB350 is an orgasmic daily commuter ❤️😃

(coming from a honda hness dlx owner).

The first question was wrongly answer.
Yeh Bheja fry wala scene kyun lag raha hai
Honda always
RE ki Chain bahat jaldi dheela ho jati hai
Stunts on road…😓😳
You're right. We'll try to curb our enthusiasm. Sorry
That was done couple of years ago. Just to test the stability while standing on the seat and was easily achieved
Classic 40 to 70 is makkhan
Sure. But most bikes are
Nobody bike can
It seems like you fell asleep mid comment. Hope you watched the whole video
@@OpenAdventures nobody bike can
Is this is joke? We don't get it!

@@Vikrum_ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Got it finally. 😁
From the Nation that gave the world its numbers, medicine and steel production , is stuck praising a 350cc enfield motorcycle that struggles to perform better than a 150 cc motorcycle.
This is laziest form of gaslighting.
It's like watching people prising cigarettes will calm you down.
On top of this enfield makes A 650cc interceptor that performs worse than a 300 cc kawasaki and wobbles at speed. What is it intercepting incompetence.
Ppl saying Road hugging weight is a byword for inaptitude.
Common. It's not all praise. You seem to be suggesting that this whole discussion had a one sided agenda
@@OpenAdventures Your legacy should be that PPL see and enjoy automotive greatness ,you should be propelling us into the future.
We should not be defined by engineering by some British person with the technology of his time.
India is yet to make a bike that they can call their own. For that to happen we need to build something great. We need to experience great things.
Your agenda should be to create 'The Indian bike '.
And not praise about a 350cc enfield that is slow and heavy. The Japanese beat the American and European manufacturers with their better built clone motorcycles which then gave birth to Japanese Motorcycle industry this was 65 years ago.
Do you want to tell your grandkids that you rode on something that the British built half a century ago. Is this the peak you want to define your experience in.
Is this what we have to show ourselves.
Be Open to Adventure.
it is not a honda ki bullet, its naklii bullet. To get the share of RE honda should have studied RE customers rather than taking the easier route (not expected from honda) and copying the bike itself. Honda customers don't expect from a bike what a RE customer expects. Honda rider in india are not biker they are biker for a short period of time as long as it suits them after that time has passed they may choose to be a chef or a barber or just plain old talking jack who knows and is an expert of every thing.
😭
I have a honda Activa
And classic 350
I would say honda is far better in terms of reliability
But re is emotionally attached ❤
As I hear classic and bullet sound everywhere it's starting to become annoying like every lane as atleast one of those dug dug bikes. Lame asf
Tell me about it

1) RE guy is a cry baby he keeps supporting it till he dies

Highness owner for almost 4 years, booked it the day after launch and bought within a month. It’s my favourite bike that I’ve owned so far, having covered lot of south India and Ladakh. But off late, I’ve been wanting more from my bike, a bit more power, a bit more top speed and that’s the reason I’ve decided to move on. I don’t know to which bike, maybe one of the 400s or even a 650 from re. A friend from the us who rides a Ducati Diavel ride both my highness and a 440x and the HD impressed him far more.
Truth be told, if I had to buy a bike today, the chances of buying the Highness would be
Well observed
