For those who are interested in the line where he says "Bodies Dissected and Heartbeats redirected".That is the 6 footnote which is Unit 731.Which was a brutal concentration camp that the Japanese used to conduct live dissections on the Chinese civilians following the Manchurian take over in 1931.
If I'm not mistaken the Japanese also used degloving as a torture method (unrelated to the song but still kinda relevant) you freeze someone's appendage solid then put it in boiling water and the reaction makes the skin and muscle fall of the bone

This is modern day poetry at its absolute peak. The importance of this song is near impossible to understate. So many people forget that one of the only real freedoms we still hold in our society is free speech, and so many neglect to use that freedom for the betterment of the world around us due to our lack of education on issues our own leaders create, and then cover up. Monsanto is a perfect example of this. Monsanto as a corporation is pure evil and we're not even told about this in our school systems due to our governments tight grasp around the developing minds of our generation. "Germinating extinction".
It's interesting how each lyric video has visually focused on one of the images presented in the Northern Fires (Guernica) video, the first song to be released from the new album. I think the only ones we have left are that black, pointy geometrical shape (sorry, idk the name) and the deer. Also, I'm so glad they've stuck with this method of rotating objects with a fixed camera - it's SUCH a cool technique with a lot of possibilities. Whoever's behind the visual art for this album is doing a phenomenal job.
Solid state have been killing it with the lyrics videos for a while now, same with SP last album, Wolves at the gates and Forevermore and many others, I'd love to know who they hire for these videos.
God the lyrics are so needed right now. Play this shit loud because ppl need to hear this. You can really feel the disappointment in his voice and the way things are worded. Keep it up, Silent Planet. You know what’s up.
I have to be honest: the lyric "Germinating Extinction" has taken on a whole new meaning for me in light of the Coronavirus / COVID-19 global pandemic currently underway. Also, "Bathe in armor, for death feeds" from "Back To Back" by The Chariot. Two bands whose music style and lyrical content complement one another phenomenally well.
@@630171official: Hey, Martin! I checked out "King" by Tesseract. I specifically enjoyed the drums, and the vocals were quite nice. Thank you for the recommendation!
These new tracks are alot angrier than anything off of E.W.S. You can really feel the rage, the disdain and disappointment just emanate off of both the lyrics and the music. The visuals are a welcome treat as well.
They set the bar very high. No one is on their level for the simple fact that they have bomb ass riffs, amazing lyrics/vocabulary, and I personally live for the footnotes. No band can compare to that.
Go listen to the first Silent Planet album for the next three months. Their second album and these singles off this just don't reach the levels of that record. That album is focused and concise. Everything since has been really...idk...different. Not sold out or anything, but just not focused.
I legit thought from "estranged in this age" to "the darkness didn't die we brought it home" was about nihilism post space exploration. Such rich lyrics that they can be read many ways and still hold.
The people unite when you dose them with fear Flashbacks to everyone buying all the toilet paper and food for themselves to make their home a bunker during the coronavirus

Very few bands are bringing lyrics of this quality to the table. Absolutely brilliant poetry here.

It's so difficult to sing a Silent Plant song because the thought behind the lyrics and well.. every line has a footnote to what a phrase means.
God damn the lyrics and footnotes really give this song so much more depth. This song kills. Love that intro
I'm excited for this album, I'm loving everything so far. They keep getting better and better.
You guys are killing it in every aspect - a long time fan

This is the most intense VERIZON COMMERCIAL I've ever heard!
Absolute Legends!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the album.
Just been getting into this band recently and I looove this so much haha, this is great
So proud that these guys hail from my hometown Azusa, CA where I currently still live.
For a second there during the quiet spoken word lines, I thought they were done by Jordan Dreyer of La Dispute
Garrett Glasscock ah someone else who loves them both.
Yeeeeees finally someone else notices. Garrett's spoken word is absolutely incredible.
Wow that chorus is mindblowing
We don't deserve them, not even a bit. Love you guys and the tunes that y'all put out, really love the literary references in the song.
How can a song reference so many different texts, speeches, and songs yet be so good
we don't deserve art like this, its just too good
