As someone who's struggled with Anorexia for six years, this was definitely needed I love this band with such a passion This song is so beautifully structured and made as well
Im glad to know this song did something good for you, i really hope everything is going well for you love! Anorexia is a horrible illness that should get way more attention than it gets. I have some good friends, who struggles and has struggled with it. And it really hurts my soul to see how they are fighting sometimes.
This is probably my favorite album by them but both their debut EP, "Come Wind, Come Weather" and their first album, "The Night God Slept" are absolutely incredible as well. They also did an EP just prior to TNGS called "lastsleep", but if you have TNGS already, you basically have the whole EP aside from two instrumental tracks. Also, if you have the opportunity to catch them live, definitely do. They put on an amazing show, and they are really down-to-earth guys.
All their music is absolutely amazing. Saw them live in Portland at the Analog Theatre and they put on an insane show. We were moshing in a room that barely fit 100 people
Fuck, what a perfect song. As someone in recovery from anorexia for a few years, this is one of the few pieces of art that feels accurate describing the disorder. Having a rough few days relapse wise and couldn’t have found this song at a better time.
Is that Cory on guest vocals? Damn he's amazing, probably my favourite metalcore vocalist, his voice is perfect mix of aggresiveness and melody. This makes me so excited for new Norma Jean record
Thank you so much for this song ! I've needed something like this for so long, struggling with my obsession. I hope this song will help me get back up to where I was. I have no words. Thank you. It's the lyrics I need and the type of music I love. Thank you again, Silent Planet, you guys rock!!! Keep going! People need songs with moving words, just like yours.
I have BDD, and honestly this song hits it hard. I cant stand myself sometimes, looking in the mirror i see someone else. "I am haunted by a non-existent lover"
Definitely. Silent Planet is leagues above any other band in the scene right now, especially in terms of lyrics. Musically speaking, Loathe comes to mind as being on the same level.
Wow, one of the most powerful songs I've heard in a long time. I love that you guys made this and I love how it can be applied to life in general, not just ED issues. Made me tear up lol.
my only complaint about this entire album is that the guitar is mixed way too low. Just saw them live for the second time last week and they completely blew me away again. However, the guitar parts on the record do not compare to how perfectly mixed their sound was when i just saw them live again and i just wished it was mixed better on this record.
Literally the best lyrics come from this band. So detailed and thought out. These guys should be millonaires, not Kanye West. it's a sad world that we live in.
"I was gifted with the vision but cursed to be the witness." Describes pretty good the lives of many people, including myself, you know where this system, this game of psychotic children, that they even call economy, will lead us, you know the causes, about the necessity of exponentially growing consumption to keep the game going, about the structural violence, about artificial scarcity causes poverty causes hate, racism, physical violence, war and crime, you know the solutions, how easy it could be by just letting technology unfold and open-source the world, create abundance without harming nature, but all you can do is watching humanity burning all lifes mother for nothing, plastic and imaginations.
I can't hear "lover", for some reason my first time listening I caught "hole" so that's what I thought it was. As in a hole that eats at you, that isn't actually there. So I thought it fit. I guess I was wrong haha. But I just recently got into Silent Planet and so far this is my favorite song. From the haunting melodic guitar in the background carrying the heavy, groovy beat, that punches you with every note. To the amazing drum work, to the amazing vocals from both vocalists, the powerful chorus and the spoken words that I used to hate, but now just fit so well. I'm glad I gave these guys a listen finally. I've been missing out
This band is extremely underrated. Everything Was Sound Album has a refined beautiful sound almost as comparable to a clean cut from a extremely hot sword where the sword remains cleansed
Calling this band good would be an insult. Been only listening to yall about a month but stumbling upon this newer content I am very happy i found this band honestly. Very deep lyrics and solid instruments
Doctors Frasier and Niles Crane unavailable for comment. Seriously though, good band. Talented people. I met Garrett briefly in Nashville, TN and he seemed like a nice guy.
Bought a Tshirt that was on clearance with the band name on it because I liked the design. I figured it was a band so I decided to look it up later when I got home... I regret nothing. Plus it was on sale haha
At first, I thought this song was about the rejection of religion. "I am haunted by a non existent lover" I thought that was describing religion until I watched the song's breakdown peice by peice. Then I realizex it was about a mental disorder I can't spell properly.
We are born as Man, Man lies to themselves that God does not exist, but we all cannot deny the existence of God. He awaits us no matter the doubt we face, I have prayed unto my Lord God, my Shepard that He keeps me safe and my faith lasts forever as His love does
+tspinks1989 thanks. That's what I thought at first but then as I listened more the part where his vocals first came in started to sound like Caleb to me
"Medical Definition of anorexia nervosa. : a serious eating disorder primarily of young women in their teens and early twenties that is characterized especially by a pathological fear of weight gain leading to faulty eating patterns, malnutrition, and usually excessive weight loss."
taylor goulart The lead singer said he wrote this song about a patient he had as a therapist, and it's about how she slowly lost her mind to the eating disorder.
Kyle Bishop thank u sorrow, from Chris, awesum band just,found,way!!!!!!!7 too.late. mdd.ocd.PTSD...this music.. . . panic room. Nuff.said. I believe tho a God.*sumwhere.
There is an interview that the vocalist does for all of the songs where he talks through the basis to all of the songs and he explains it there. It's like a personification of the disorder that plagues the affected person :)
As someone who's struggled with Anorexia for six years, this was definitely needed
I love this band with such a passion
This song is so beautifully structured and made as well
lmao I was looking for your comment
lmao me too.

x _ x what is this comment about?
This is the first I'm hearing Silent Planet and I really like what I hear! The lyrics are so captivating.
You need to get their older stuff
This is probably my favorite album by them but both their debut EP, "Come Wind, Come Weather" and their first album, "The Night God Slept" are absolutely incredible as well. Check out the Night God Slept. Its amazing!
Agreed. That album got me hooked. Everything was Sound just further pushed the needle in.
All their music is absolutely amazing. Saw them live in Portland at the Analog Theatre and they put on an insane show. We were moshing in a room that barely fit 100 people

Having a rough few days relapse wise and couldn’t have found this song at a better time.
This is seriously one of the best songs they've ever made. And all their songs are amazing.
Zach Simpson honestly I can't wait to see you in like 4 or 5 months also I found you

Michal Andrzejczuk i'll have to check it out then!
The intro to this song always, and I mean always, give me goosebumps. The feels and emotions captured in the music and the lyrics is so real! Just wow
Am I the only one who loves the music as much as the album artwork/concept? Simply beautiful
Yea, I was pleasantly surprised receiving the cd at home and discovering the artwork and concept behind this release.
I actually couldn't emotionally handle this song at first. So much power behind a topic that I hold so close
Is that Cory on guest vocals? Damn he's amazing, probably my favourite metalcore vocalist, his voice is perfect mix of aggresiveness and melody. This makes me so excited for new Norma Jean record
Everytime I hear this song I think the exact same thing! So excited for their new album.

I am just speechless. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. This album is even better than Architect's one. Thank You Silent Planet.
SOULFLYAAA Chill
SOULFLYAAA, not better than Architects.

kanye's stuff is actually pretty deep. Listen to pretty much anything on his College Dropout album.
Tap Water I think you missed his point.
this is easily my favorite song on the album
Been a while since I've given Silent Planet a listen, but MAN. They BROUGHT IT with this album.
This was the first silent planet song I ever heard and I always enjoy every time I come back
This is hands down my favorite Silent Planet song.
Guest Vocalist is Cory Brandan from Norma Jean 🙌🏻
This is perfection. The lyrics, the atmosphere, and especially the chorus with Corey from NJ. Think I found my new jam
Such talent and art. You guys are amazing, lyrically and instrumentally.
It's so good, I hope to hear more from this band.
So real! So human! Real creativity musically and emotionally. So heavy but beautifully!

I think this is the best son on the album, love it.
This album has the best lyrics in music!
This is the best thing I have ever heard.
Doctors Frasier and Niles Crane unavailable for comment. Seriously though, good band. Talented people. I met Garrett briefly in Nashville, TN and he seemed like a nice guy.

Great album!
3:17 you get snoop dog coming out of smoke
I fucking love this band
Lyrical style reminds me of Corey Lockwood from A lot Like Birds!
Thats a good thing..
love this song
behold your child, perfection - a rotting shell of atrophy
beautiful.
Perhaps favourite.
But have you read Sartre?
Actually, this is my new fave album. Reading the lyrics is a wormhole.
I love it!!
It's so good
I love its lyrics
The lyrics...damn
Amazing

Lust_for _snipers That is what is meant when we say "I"
The "I" is "God"
lol what?
Man lies to themselves that there is a "God".
Fuck this band is great.
Woah
Who is doing the guest vocals? It sounds like Cory Brandan from Norma Jean. Regardless this prob my favorite track of this album.
Im back and forth between thinking its him and Caleb Shomo
its the guy from norma jean
+tspinks1989 thanks. That's what I thought at first but then as I listened more the part where his vocals first came in started to sound like Caleb to me
+John Joyce its not caleb
+John Joyce have you heard the new norma jean? its totally him.
These lyrics are good but nightmare inducing.
Why's the song called Nervosa? (it means nervous in my language)
"Medical Definition of anorexia nervosa. : a serious eating disorder primarily of young women in their teens and early twenties that is characterized especially by a pathological fear of weight gain leading to faulty eating patterns, malnutrition, and usually excessive weight loss."
***** Thanks for the explanation, Kyle :)
taylor goulart The lead singer said he wrote this song about a patient he had as a therapist, and it's about how she slowly lost her mind to the eating disorder.
