My wife and completed the V.P. trip in our 2020 R/T this past May from outside Denver, and included all the stops from Cisco, Utah to Nevada. A trip of a lifetime, and yes we played this tune rolling into Cisco and past the remains of the Shell station.
Actually I was lucky enough to drive AJ Foyte to the Sydney Airport in his challenger back in the 70s when he came to Australia on a show tour.. he told me to give it thr gun in the Airport Tunnel best time of my little hardcore life but he did warn me not to do it when he wasn't in the car.. I never did it again AJ.. thanks bud.. you made my millennium.. every time I hear this song it takes me back to the rumble of that V8 in the tunnel of love.. I later had to service the car on the same day..
Mine was a "74 Plymouth 'Cuda. It arrived on the showroom floor at noon, and went home with me at 6 pm. I miss it today in 2020. Someone killed it by T-boning it in an intersection in 1988.
'88 was not a good year for the Cuda. They trashed FIVE 70s Cudas while they were making Phantasm II, maybe the worst sequel ever made. Especially when you consider how good the original was.
Nice job on this vid. I always loved how the guy rolls a Jaguar convertible going like 70 mph and then gets up with a couple of scratches and his pants ripped.
Driving a white Challenger was the worst, useless, deceiving experience of my life. I will not drive a single fucking car till I die. The ending credit song should be changed In something less enthusiastic... Something like No Surprises by Radiohead. It should be more sincere. There's no love, no affection, no rebel's or vengeance instances. It last only the irritating feeling of being fooled around with no opportunity for a whole life. I do not have to celebrate nothing. You have to. You have to celebrate my departure.

This is one of my favorite movies as it brings out what the 70s was all about. The free sprint attitude. What I would give to go back to that time.
