Mr. Segarini many thanks for this great song!! I dream of the day someone will do a remake of this hopefully with the same groove ! As a musician, this is got to be "THE" song that had the most influence on me. Long live this great song!!
This needs the lyrics. Feeling kinda lonely, gonna be in town for only a few days at the most. I realize it's early but I'm getting kinda squirrely so I go downstairs for a toast. Clinking glasses, drinking fast and pretty soon I think I'll ask a lady for a dance or two. I found my legs and test 'em but my feet ain't where I left 'em and the music made me want to move. I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me. Now somehow or another I am dancing like a mother and looking real cool. Thinking every minute while I'm out there spinning If I fall I'll really be the fool. Whizzing crazy, vision hazy, pretty soon collision made me end up down on the floor. The band was really playin, the guitar is almost sailing and the music makes me dance some more. I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me. Well, now I'm really drunken and my heart it starts to thumping in my chest and ringin in my ears To start a conversation I recall a rare occaision and order up a round o' beers A woman walkin by me talkin and I reach out and snag a stocking, she's mad, I'm laughing in my foam Vanessa ain't his master, but I guess I must asked her somethin good because we're goin home I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me. I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me. I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me. I got the rockin, rollin, reelin, feelin Somethin drunken's comin over me.
Wow, thanks for sharing this! Loved this song since the mid seventies when I first saw Vanishing Point. It's great to hear the original demo, outstanding job. Still looking for a studio recording (or demo) of "I Can't Believe It" by Segarini and Bishop. Love the Roxy LP too, saw this on vinyl at a used record store recently.

Think I've got some tweaks to these. Revisited this song again today after having a go at the lyrics a couple of times over the years. Listened to this and the soundtrack side-by-side. Found the lyrics I'd commented on a soundtrack version with an old YT account. Referenced yours. Looked at what others think the words are, and I think this is getting closer. This includes Part 2 and tweaks some of your words... @@Longi1974 Absolutely, yes. I've also seen some ones recommended by Google on a lyrics site, but I don't think they're official. It's really easy to hear what you want to hear when playing it through. Also, since the soundtrack version is notably faster, lyrics could be tweaked to fit. I wanted to work them out to sing in a band at some point - for those purposes it gets the point across. To my shame, I don't yet know of anything else Segarini & Bishop have done.

Trying to get the words to this. This did it! Many thanks for posting!
The finished version is so much better. The piano really enhances it.
and i keep dancing like a mother!
It's an ass kicker alright. Peace & Sounds. Cj. PS. Thanks for the lyrics.

this rox!
Dig it man.
Man. That's amazing. Any chance we can find the mono mix used in the movie? It IS different from what appears on the soundtrack.
I like that the Mono mix in the movie has a more emphasized Piano and Sax than the Soundtrack! Still great tune!
Part 1
Feelin’ kinda lonely
Gonna be in town for only
A few days, at the most
I realise it’s early
But I’m getting kinda squarely
So I go downstairs for the toast
I’m clinkin’ glass and drinkin’ fast
And pretty soon I think I’ll ask
A lady for a dance or two
I tie my laces, test ‘em
But my feet ain’t where I left ‘em
And the music makes me want to move
Part 3 (I think)
Well now I’m really drunken
And my heart has started thumpin’
In my chest and ringin’ in my ears
To start a conversation
I recall a rare occasion
And order up a round o’ beers
A woman walking by me talkin’
An I reach out an’ snag her stocking
She’s mad I’m laughin’ in my foam
Finesse, I ain’t its master
But I guess I must have asked her
Something good, because we’re going home
Order up a round of beers. She's mad, I'm laughing in my foam.
@@busterservicks726 I think you're right lol (It was five years ago after all) Changed, with thanks.

@@simonrussell4986 Thanks. It's nigh on impossible to find a set of official lyrics for this song.

I think I know where Social Distortion's "Prison Bound" came from.
This is Not the same version as used in the movie, this intro is not as good.
