    DIY INSTANT OATS RECIPE
    3 cups quick oats
    3 tablespoon turbinado sugar
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts
    1/4 cup raisins
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Evenly divide amongst six 8 ounce mason jars, pop on the lid and store in a cool dry place.
When ready to eat pour about 1/2 cup boiling water or milk over the top and stir. Top with any additional toppings that excite you and enjoy.
    IMMUNITY BOOSTING GREEN CHICKEN SOUP
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    2 stalks of celery, chopped
    3 cloves chopped garlic
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    2 teaspoon dried oregano
12 ounces shredded chicken (I like using a rotisserie)
    2 small zucchini, chopped
    1 cup frozen corn
6 cups low sodium chicken broth or homemade stock
    1 bunch cilantro, stemmed
1 jalapneo or serrano pepper, chopped
A few handfuls of baby spinach, chopped
    Salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil in a large pot and add in onions, pepper, carrots, and celery. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the veggies begin to look tender.
While veggies are cooking, blend cilantro, serrano pepper, 1 clove garlic and 2 cups of broth in the blender. Set aside.
Once veggies are tender, season with cumin, oregano, and a little more salt and pepper, stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add shredded chicken, zucchini, corn, remaining chicken broth and the cilantro broth you blended in the blender. Bring to a boil, reduce down and simmer for 10 more minutes or until your veggies are tender. Finish with a few handfuls of baby spinach and enjoy!

Your crudité idea in one of your vids was such a "duh!" moment for me. I've been doing it ever since. Bought a whole thing of celery yesterday for tuna salad. Instead of letting the rest wilt in our fridge, I immediately chopped them into snack sized pieces, along with bell peppers- huge hit! Thank you for saving us money!!!

I love the pumpkin too! That and the berry blend are the only ones I like. I cut mine in half so it's 2 portions and leave mine in the car too. I always end up shopping after work when I'm hungry, this takes the edge off so I don't end up with a cart full of random stuff and bad decisions.☺

Dani, love the video! If I want to make the soup vegetarian, what veggie could I sub for the chicken? Lentils? 🤔

    • @raraavis7782
      @raraavis7782 6 лет назад

Bea Cesar (Marinated) jackfruit, if you can get it...it's still a bit of a novelty item. But the texture is quite similar to meat. Fleshy mushrooms like portobello also work.
Although they don't have the high protein content of lentils, of course, if that's important to you. Both chickpeas and red lentils would taste great in this kind of soup.
I like to use smoked salt in dishes like that, for a more 'hearty' flavour.
