I can't see a Mig-17 and not relate it to Randy Ball. I hope to see this plane live once more in my life. There something about that Mig that attracts me a lot. Perhaps it is the wings design (including those in the tail).
The pilot on the MiG-17 performed a beautiful takeoff, removed the landing gear and went into the set. Then a few more passes over the strip at 5 meters on the afterburner. Handsome!
I am from Slovakia, formerly Czechoslovakia, central Europe, these machines flew over our heads during socialism, the cold war. It's both strange and gratifying to see how you're having fun with these machines, controlled by your hands, in the US today. Who would have thought of such a thing back then, in those days, that with one click of the mouse on some kind of RUclips I would be able to see it easily, without restrictions. As part of the Air Show. Nice flight demonstration by the way.
yes it is weird. You should come here one day to see the show. I am not sure if you are familiar with our country but this is in a State called Wisconsin and is one of the most famous air shows in the world.
@@goldenmanuever1176 Of course I would love to see your show live. I guess I'll make it sometime. Unfortunately, I have not been to the USA yet, but I am very tempted to visit your country. From the east coast, state of Maine. under lakes Ontario, Erie, Huron, Michigan, Superior, then the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, up to the state of Washington. I am very attracted to the North of the USA. I will see. I wish you all the best.

I've seen Randy Ball several times in person. He puts on a great show! His high-speed flybys are so low. I swear he's only about 10-15 feet off the ground.
I missed out on this year's show, I know tragedy struck unfortunately, can you imagine the reaction back in the 1950's when the MIG debuted? wow that thing is beautiful
Great Russian Planes. Real masterpieces. This mig 17 of Vietnam fame dazzled beyond imagination. It's low passed were a real blinders. Really happy to see it in action 🌹
Still sucks the Mig-23 lost that part of the cockpit glass would have been cool to see all 3 if not all 4 had the Mig 21 made it as well, hopefully we'll see it in the future as a 4 ship flight
The SIZE difference is astonishing . The little and Gorgeous 17 seems to be RUNNING really well . No Coal . The 29 , although a total Monster , did seem to be having Fueling issues . Leaking Re-Heat valve ? It cleaned up on Burner .
Absolutely mind blowing that these are American civilian owned Russian fighter jets. How do you even get your hands on one? Especially a MiG-29?! Absolutely love both planes.
Apparently there was an extra unauthorized person in the back seat, because the Ejection seat isn't active otherwise and apparently the FAA didn't like it because it was unplanned apparently
The engines still are based on 1960s designs. Military engine designs from that time usually trade efficiency (black smoke = unburned carbon = wasted energy) and lifetime for weight and performance. Western engines from that time smoke the same. There is no modern engine governor. When they throttle up, they run a bit too rich before revving up. That's where the blackest smoke puffs come from. When we still had our Phantoms flying here in Germany, you could see them smoking to a greater distance than you could hear them. All the way to the horizon. Our CH-53s have always been smokey too.
The MiG-17F did. Was one of the first planes with an AB, and one of the first AB's in general. You can see just by the way it looks that it's a 1st Gen afterburner, same with the F-100 if you're ever seen one
The difference between the US and Russia: You can see civilian-owned Russian-made jets flying in the US, but don't see civilian-owned US-made jets flying in Russia
That Mig-17 is really shiny and beautiful! It's the first time I see these fly on video
Don't play with NK. They have Mig 17s. They will teach a lesson. 😤
gotta say, for a jet thats older than i am, that Mig 17 is quite the stud!
Love how Randy Ball always keeps his shows fast and low!! The Mig-17 is awesome!!

The most beautiful painting I've ever seen on a Fulcrum. So far, my fav jet!
A lot of MiGs at Oshkosh this year!
Ask for some suhoi.
Mig-17 is one beautiful airplane! Great job filming!!
The -29 is nice but I like the looks of the -17
The pilot on the MiG-17 performed a beautiful takeoff, removed the landing gear and went into the set. Then a few more passes over the strip at 5 meters on the afterburner. Handsome!
This ch rocks! I was at Oshkosh all week and I STILL needed/enjoyed watching this clips! Thank you
Incredible! Thank you!
I wanna see a MiG-17 sooo bad!! Great filming as always🎉
seeing the ramps move is awesome; pretty cool seeing a western MiG-29.
that mig-17 is the most awsome looking jet i have ever seen with amazing cam quality too

Did you mistake the literary and philosophical group ??
Or did you forget to take your regular dose of medicine ?
I was lucky enough to see this live! Perfect night and incredible flying
Randy Ball’s MiG 17 demos are awesome! I got to meet and talk to him several years ago at an airshow at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City Louisiana.
Best landing lights ever on that 29
Mig 17 is the most beautiful warplane of all time.
Fantastic Mig 17 & Mig 29
I've seen Randy Ball several times in person. He puts on a great show! His high-speed flybys are so low. I swear he's only about 10-15 feet off the ground.
That Mig 29 must surely rank as the sexiest fighter plane ever!
So is The F-15 Eagle too.
The Mig 17 is a show stealer. With flames like that coming out of the rear, this airplane looks dangerous. Beautiful.
Fantastic!! Thankyou
I missed out on this year's show, I know tragedy struck unfortunately, can you imagine the reaction back in the 1950's when the MIG debuted? wow that thing is beautiful
Beautiful!!!
Amazing to see what was a Mikoyan- Gurevich legacy performance.
I was there! It was a GREAT SHOW!

Great camera work - it's so hard to keep up with them at these speeds !
Amazing as always!
Those are two beautiful birds!!
Atlantik " begleitet ...
The both miG's 17 and 29 are awesome!
Wow this is super rare ! 2 of them together, instead of usual polaris formations with alphas.
Most beautiful aircraft I’ve seen…
Holy shit, this looks like a ton of fun!
I want to paint everything I own in the MIG-29 paint scheme.
Love watching the takeoffs & landings! 👍✈️👍
Man that pull up at 6:09! almost looks sped up. crazy performance the mig17 has epsecially with randy at the controls
Bello, magnifico, un MIG 17 todavía volando, excelente espectáculo, felicitaciones
Lol that 17 was getting a bit spicy there at the end.
Stuuning! Mig 17 flying
Super vidéo 👍👏 magnifique ❤❤
Great Russian Planes.
Real masterpieces.
This mig 17 of Vietnam fame dazzled beyond imagination.
It's low passed were a real blinders.
Really happy to see it in action 🌹
Is it the same as the MiG-17, or has its engine been updated? It can be developed and equipped with modern equipment as a light aircraft.
Wow! Cool !!!
Still sucks the Mig-23 lost that part of the cockpit glass would have been cool to see all 3 if not all 4 had the Mig 21 made it as well, hopefully we'll see it in the future as a 4 ship flight
SUPER!
This like a great grand father walk around with the grand son
That lady: Where are You, Randy?
Knowing he’s about to get to it out of nowhere!
Was there any F-86 this year in Oshkosh?
From what I saw, none.
Grandpop's taking his grandson out on a walk
Why is it a lit burner always reminds me of hot dogs and marshmallows?

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!❤
Who owns that Mig-29? Didn’t I see a pair of L-39’s earlier in the week with the same camo?
Migs! Where is Maverick??
Flying a cargo plane........😂
How does one get to buy a MiG-29?
Having a big checkbook 😃

Ah! A MiG-29? Ok I'll show my own Su-27. Hold my helmet.

How did they get the m 29 it’s a more modern aircraft
If you mean modern as in 40 years old you are right 😉
Yes I know it’s old but so is the F-16 and it’s still in service.
Randy Ball, please bring the Mig 17 to Maputo for the air shows. And somebody else bring the A1 Skyraider too.
As aeronaves russas são muito bonitas.
Anybody know the reason the Mig 29 missed its slot in the show due to the FAA and the ejection seat?
Apparently there was an extra unauthorized person in the back seat, because the Ejection seat isn't active otherwise and apparently the FAA didn't like it because it was unplanned apparently
@@technoaurora ahhh, surprises tend to be unwelcome in the FAA's world. Thanks for the explanation.

Why does the MIG-29 puff black smoke??
older engine design and less efficient fuel combustion, leading to the production of soot and unburnt hydrocarbons
It's a Russian Jet. Runs on vodka so not as clean burning as regular Jet-A.

What does make mig29 smokey?
No matter kind of plane. A true AvGeek/PlaneLover enjoy eve the rival's country war plane.
incredible stuff
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Mig 29 pake solar ya? Sampe ngebul gitu
Clear why the could paste a Phantom in a turning fight.
in eastern machines the mig-29 is my fav the most butiful bird up to date in my opinion in western aircraft the f-14 Tomcat is my fav
I think I could drive a Mig-15 or Mig-17, balls to the wall and I only have 80 hours in a Cessna 150 and 172... I feel it in my bones...or die trying!
Didnt know mig 17s had afterburners
First Mig to have one I believe.
The MiG-17F did. Was one of the first planes with an AB, and one of the first AB's in general. You can see just by the way it looks that it's a 1st Gen afterburner, same with the F-100 if you're ever seen one

There are enough American planes in Russia and they also fly Cessna, Boeing and others there
I don't think the mig 17 had an afterburner originally.
😊😊😊😊
👏
I bet right now Russia would love to have those two Migs back.
