Great camera, but really not safe for most vehicles that drive in a warmer climate. With a speced temp max of just 140 degrees F, with the internal vehicle temp max in Florida of 180 - 200 F, with the internal lithium battery this would not be a safe choice, unless you can always park under cover. Note that the safe operating max temp of most lithium batteries is 140 degrees F, so the camera spec matches the battery max spec. I hope that the manufacturer can come up with a dash cam that will be safe in Florida with the same functionality as the 810!
While many may feel that super capacitors might be the answer, and certainly they offer a long lifespan than lithium, their temp max spec is only about 10 degree F higher at 149 degrees.
There would appear to be a need to remove the battery altogether, and rely on the hardwired kit to provide power needs.
