The Nextbase doesn't have a Sony Starvis2 sensor so it's not as good. Every dashcam I've tried with a Sony Starvis Sensor outperforms all the competitors by a mile in the past 3-4 years.

Do cpl filters really work?

Yes it does. I've had dashcams since 2014 and if you know how to use a CPL filter properly it immensely reduces glare from the dashboard.
