- One of my brothers moved to a spot fairly close to us this summer and we helped him get a little off grid cabin built to live in. Watch from the bare ground start to him being able to move in.

Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

Family is everything. I'm so glad you and your brother can live close together and help each other. It's truly a blessing.
Micah has an awesome tiny house. So wonderful that you three worked on it together. Very cool to inherit a wood stove, no burn off needed. And that chair looks so comfortable! Best wishes to Micah!!!❤️
Like the video on helping your brother building his new house .
That's really something, Ariel! So glad to see you have your brother close by. It will be interesting to see further developments.
A cabin raising! Y’all are so community oriented and having a brother close must feel good!❤️
So glad to see your brother is nearby and is following a now established family tradition of literally creating one's home, one step at a time. (Greatly with the help of family and good weather, no less!) May Micah find rest and warmth in his new home, whever it may go!
Perfect little off grid cabin! Having the whole interior sheeted makes good sense for a tiny house. Micah seems like such a lovely human. You’re all so blessed to live close to one another and share in helping live such a good life.
When I was a kid, My aunt had no plumbing in her house. There was a "slop pail" in the kitchen where all the peelings from veggies went, as well as the dishwater and wash basin water went. That went out to a composting area. Soap was home made, so biodegradable. This is the way people lived in those times. We have become so pampered in the way we live now. In the past people lived much rougher.
Your brother's place looks great Ariel, i'm sorry it's been so long since I last commented on one of your videos. Last year i had a stroke and a mild heart attack in June, so i haven't really been myself, infact I lost a bit of memory as well, but thankfully, i'm still alive and slowly getting back to my old self 😊 Hope you and your family is doing well, and i'm glad I found you guys again☺
Glad you’re on the mend!
Clay is amazingly skilled, you both work so hard. I loved this, thank you for sharing!
Aw...Micah, the Chicken Whisperer, seems like a wonderful young man. What a gorgeous location and view he has! Good job, all of you! 👍🇨🇦😎📷💜❄
I have been waiting for this. Thank you. A beautiful property with beautiful views. Everyone is so lucky to have Clay. I would have just plunked a cabin down. Clay knew all about leveling and grading and hillsides and such. And I love Micah's deer neighbors!
Wow, that’s fantastic!!!!! What a beautiful lot and scenery, the cabin is perfect. Good job everyone and thanks so much for sharing!
Clay… what a generous hardworking man.
Ariel the same ❤
Micah hope you are very happy up there.
Gosh that looks like where Moose Henderson lived before leaving WY.
I'm finding it hard to put words together. It is so wonderful to see people in this great country of ours relying on themselves and those close to them. I am in awe of your parents, and the wonderful job they've done raising such self reliant adults. God Bless you, Clay, Micah and the rest of your family. May you have many blessed years in enjoying everything you've built. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Micah has a wonderful sister and brother-in-law, you 3 did an amazing job, it’s beautiful !
Great job building that cabin so quickly on the weekends. Congrats Micah.
What a cozy and beautiful cabin! That looks like Moose's old parking spot.
That really looks like an awesome cabin ❤️ *m happy for your brother. That was so nice that you all could work on it
Wonderful project to work on together. And so nice to have your brother close by. Wishing Micah well in his new venture! Also I admit to being amused by the tiny amount of rain--we had five inches of rain the other day which is nothing unusual here. It's so interesting to see how climates are different.
Phenomenal! Family is everything.
I'll bet it's nice to have Micah there for both you and Clay.
Now I can finally see how you 2 will build your own bigger tiny home!
Congratulations on getting it livable even with the snow flying!
I love this video! Flipping the floor was a great idea! Beautiful view front (valley) and back (deer!)! I'm glad Micah is safe and cozy for the winter! Great job by everyone!
Good job looks like a beautiful view too
This is so beautiful! What a wonderful home the 3 of you have built together, wow! That is one very well built cabin! Thank you for taking all the video and photos and putting it together to share with all of us. I admire the competence and drive that all of you have. So impressive!!!
Wonderful salt of the earth people. Love this build. I could watch for hours.
It looks like a wonderful home!
Wonderful team work! I wish your Brother well in his new home & environment~
Ariel, what a blessing you all are to each other! It was so much fun to watch the excavator chew away the hillside. Clay makes it look so simple and I know better! The setting is amazingly gorgeous, from all directions. Micah's cabin is beautiful and that wood stove is the crown jewel! Can't wait to see what else is done. Congrats to you all for a job well done and may you all continue to be blessed with good health in this new year.
What a lovely comfortable home he now has. The power of family all pulling together. His spot looks very similar to where Moose Henderson used to live.
it is the lot
Same mountaintop
Very interesting. Clay is one handy guy to have around.
Family helping family this is what life is all about. 🙌🙏👍
With the crazy price of most housing these days, bravo to you all for building such a great home!
That was terrific! Love the cabin❤How wonderful to have your brother close by. 😊I really enjoyed all the steps to building his tiny house. So cozy and nice with the glow of the fire too.
Wow! That’s impressive. That’s a really well built cabin. It’s good to have such good family around you. You all make each other’s lives better.
Send Micah a warm congratulations on his sweet new home from back in Lancaster County. Much luck as you complete the final touches.
I love it. This is similar to what I thought about building and then plans changed. Now I am living in a 340 sq. foot existing cabin.
Beautiful view and cozy cabin to boot. Simple living close to nature is a treasure
How exciting for your brother! I’m sure he’ll love it. Happy you have family near, too!
What a wonderful home that is nice and cozy for your brother. I love all of the wildlife too. Thanks so much for sharing.
A addition of the mezzanine was a great idea and should make for a nice, warm place for a bed in winter.
How awesome! Settled, but still lot's to look forward to doing in the future.
Family. Some would say it doesn't matter today. But it is a gift from God.
Wow, the mountaintop looks so awesome, thanks for sharing that with us, I loved seeing the transformation of the mountaintop and the build of the cabin
It's nice that you have family nearby.
Your brother is so lucky! I would love this! The style and the off grid. Thanks Sis! God Bless You Micah as you begin a new adventure in WY!
Thanks for sharing Micah's home build! Loved sloped roof to reduce snow load. Thanks Ariel!
Wow.... the cabin looks great! You three certainly put in some hard work!
That is such a lovely thing to do, its so important to have family around. Cabin looks cozy, look forward to an update
Very much a “Fy Nyth” type of project. I love it. Practical and cozy is the name of the game. Nicely done! 👍🌲
Nice to have your brother close by! 🤗❤️🇺🇸
His house is above the community down below. Having a settled footprint, he can now improve and expand the house. Very good move in grading the hillside.
This is beautiful! Family is everything ❤️
Very nice, and your husband is so sweet to help your brother...blessed
👍 Looks good! It's great to have your brother near! The three have done a nice job getting him in before winter! Shalom!
What a nice cabin. It'll be even nicer as time goes by but that's what happens in a home anyway.
That's a nice tiny home, in a nice neighborhood, with a nice guy living in it👍🏼😉, good job guys
Teamwork makes the dream work!! Great job!!! 👏😍👏😍👏👍👍🙂
Now it makes sense. You've been working overtime. Thank you Ariel
I love that the cabin will be moveable at such time that Micah ever relocates or purchases his own land. I fell in love with that view and wildlife when Moose’s tiny home was there. Sure hope Micah allows us
to peek in now and again cause there’s a bunch of folks wishing him well!
Micah’s cabin is looking pretty cozy. Good job everyone!
Brilliant! What a wonderful space; home and property. TY for sharing. Congrats to Micah. 🤗
That looks amazing and so nice to have family close by.
Fun to watch as this is how we always built our things, right down to the "plywalling."
Very nice! Wishing Micah happiness in his tiny cabin home.
Beautiful setting!!!! Looks comfy and cozy.
A great build! It must be lovely to have family close by. 🙂
This is literally my dream house! Great job by all!
I enjoyed this very much. It will be so nice having your brother close.
All of you did a great job! Working together gets the job done faster!
Very nice and cozy too! It is nice to have family close by.
What a beautiful cozy cabin!! Loved watching it come to life❤🙌
Cozy!! Thank you very much for sharing, Ariel, and thanks to Micah as well.
I love his cabin!!!! You-all did a great job!!!! It’s perfect for one person…. What a beautiful place…. The mountain behind will help shield the wind…He looks to be surrounded by lots of wildlife… He’ll probably have to put high fence to keep the deer from eating his garden… Living in Wyoming myself having to put all bushes and trees surrounded by fence….Great video…❤
That's all you need to be comfy. Nice!
I have no doubt at all if Clay is involved in some job, it's gonna be excellent! 👍😊
Nice home,congrats!
Wow 😯 y’all did a great 👍 job came out nice 😊
Looks like a wonderful home. ❤😊 Home Sweet Home.
Thank you for sharing! A wonderful build with all three helping one another 😊
I love it! Great job everyone! He will be happy there. Love the wildlife.
Fantastic!! So happy for him!
The cabin site reminds me of the place where Moose had his tiny house before he moved to the UP of Michigan.
I hope Micah will be happy because his cabin looks comfortable and it is really coming together
Just said the same thing!
Nothing like the Tiny community for projects, companionship, and success stories! Well done, y'all! Does Micah have a dog and cat mix or just chickens?
What a wonderful project...a gift to your brother...and uplifting example of coming alongside one another. Thank you for sharing this.
Her brother has neighbors within sight. Seems almost "citified" compared to Ariel's place. 😅♥️♥️
Awesome job. Now that the 'heavy lifting' is done, the work on all the improvements can begin. Hope you share some of those just as you and Clay have done.
Really enjoyed watching this come together, thanks.
How nice to have family nearby. Love the tiny house is off grid. Like the slanted roof.
Loved the video. The cabin is quite livable and I'm sure that as time goes on Micah will be able to add utility to his homestead. Good job all the way around!
beautiful job! inspiring to see such a resourceful family working together
Thanks for showing this. So many great ideas. I love the way you did the walls. So sturdy. Have a blessed Easter. 🐣
Very nice to see family helping each other out. And as Val says below-that chair looks very comfy. 💖💖🎶🎶
The way he's got his bathroom set up that's a way better set up than having to go to an outhouse, I would hate to have to go to a outhouse at night, with Wildlife around! Being that he has to hall all of his water, will he have a garden? When I saw his path up to his property, I was wondering if he could potentially end up with a sloppy mud mess where his truck would get stuck! Will he eventually have to put Stone up the driveway? That's so nice that you all have each other to help, not only with big projects, but to spend time as a family! Now all he needs is a dog for companionship! 💕
Consider a "brow ditch" at the top of the newly created slope to redirect the uphill runoff away from the cabin
It turned out amazing!! I love the roof style!! Great job that will make a wonderful home!!!❤
Wow! Beautiful site…and, the soil looks marvelous 👍. I’m in southern Vermont for the past 21 years. Am a lifetime gardener. If rocks & stones were worth money, I’d be very, very wealthy. Best wishes to him as he continues to improve his place ❤
Thank you so much! Watching someone doing alot with very little
Clay is very talented. Great cabin.
That house is so awesome and great views etc. Interesting grading etc. Thank you for sharing.
Wow. Very very nice. Looks comfy and cozy. Micah. Enjoy
What a great job you all did! Ariel, it must feel so good to have your brother close to you!💕
