I have to agree that Peggy Ann is a great live aboard especially for us old timers! However we spent a year sailing the east coast from Adelaide and used 200 litres of diesel for the trip. I think the biggest thing to making the journey fun and enjoyable is taking your time and waiting for appropriate weather. No time restraints
Hi Norm. Yep. A volunteer is someone that didn’t understand the question the first time. A stable deck is a good deck. I said Hi to you at Roslyn bay Marina a couple of months back. Enjoy watching your videos. We have had a couple of boats over the years and after a brief time ashore relocating our place of residence we have just jumped back into another boat. Like you always say , stay out there till you can’t. Great credo. If you ever call in to Mooloolaba on your way past give us a hoy and we’ll grab a coffeeeeeeee.
Thanks Norm Nice analysis Less than five knots, might as well use the iron staysail. That’s what it’s there for. I like that mainsail, sets well and nicely made.
Peggy Ann faster? did an overnighter in Pancake creek back in the mid sixties, a couple of times. double diagonal timber sloop 24'. bet its very different now.
Great video norm confirmed %100 sail boat will never be my thing 😂. Peggy anne seems so much easier with everything

Travelling with Norm ~ Sailing, Trains, Bus and back on Peggy Ann 🎉 ~ Cheers
Mate I love your honesty,, can't wait to sell my place & get my own floating home. Just hope I'm not too old to learn something new.
Great comparison in boats. Thanks for sharing your time with us.
Great video Norm, not sure I'd ever step on a mono though but that's just me.

Hey Norm, you were scrabbling about on the fire deck of that boat with no life jacket and no harness! Naughty!
Yep. It was. Just not used to being on a mono, with no bulwarks.
This what the sailing channels don’t show you.
Norm how did you end up on the sailing trip to Bundy? Was the Owner of the yacht advertising for a crew or did you know the Yacht’s Owner
