It pains me to say it (as a Swansea boy🫣) but you guys are awesome😊. I'm at the scary end of my 40s and I've recently bought a '78 westerly 36ft yacht, very much at the bargain end of the spectrum (though thoroughly researched!). I've battled with anxiety/depression most of my life, and my confidence has suffered accordingly. Watching you guys do your thing is a joy, an inspiration, and life-affirming. P.S. I'm not such a Jack as to have not enjoyed many a crazy weekend in the company of Barry Boys. Love you guys. Apologies to any followers/readers who are not familiar with the South Wales valleys😊 P.P.S. I'd be a patron, but for having just bought a boat, and working for the council at the tools and hi viz end of the pay scale😕
Being Barry boys we have no issues with our fellow neighbors. We have spent many a night in Swansea awesome place awesome people. You have picked a good solid boat the older ones are the best. Sounds like you got a bit of work to do on her before you can do some sailing this coming summer. Unfortunately depression and anxiety can affect lots of people from all shapes and sizes. Hope to see you on the water someday 😄
Beautiful video and great spirit, as always ! You bring a smile into the household every Sunday ! 🤗 But...😠 I am just back from a sailing instructor course, and seeing Adam go forward without a lifejacket and untethered, in strong seas, strong current, and strong wind from astern, just gives me the creeps. If he had gone overboard due to a freak movement, the chances of Luke being able to recover him would be slim. I know this has been discussed on this forum in the past, but familiarity breeds complacency, and it is the most experienced who are at greatest risk. I don’t want to sound moralizing or spoil the fun, but your biggest treasure is each other. Take care, sail safe, enjoy to the max 😎
The sound of the wind through the rigging is all the sound track I need to enjoy your adventures (the rest is a bonus 🤣)stay safe brothers and chuck a stake on the Barby!!!👍❤️👍🏴
I was seven years old when I first crossed Wide Bay Bar in a yacht. It is very exciting to see you guys in my "home waters". I love your channel and never imagined to see you boys in my neck of the woods.
Love the comments about that passage ‘we’re flying’ one moment and then ‘I didn’t think it would be this windy Luke’. I thought you needed the one to achieve the other 😂😂😂. Another Sunday Sailing Brothers production enjoyed 👍🏻⛵️
Australia coast, beeches, wildlife......pretty special! You are gonna have a desperate struggle leaving! When you eventually get to Perth & Freo, there are more sailing clubs than people!
Well interesting passage . Those tea pots were gorgeous. Did you not have a cake with your tea ? How nice of that couple to take you to that lovely place x
Bet you boys can’t wait to get back to Cardiff Bay - grim their right now - you’re having way too much fun - keep making us all jealous- great videos and an amazing achievement with much more to come - well done⛵️⛵️
We just always add 5kts to any forecast wind here. I noticed that you appear to have a depth indicator tied to your anchor chain. We had that on our first boat. So every ten metres the chain was rusted to the point of destruction. We had to dump 100 metres of chain because of it. The repair cost for the chain was the same price as new!
On the east coast the NE will get really strong (call it a black noreaster), the day before a southerly "buster' or change. Good to see that dune from the top, only ever seen it from the sea. Top work guys.
Nice job guys, nice Fruit and Vegetables too - I always had to do the Display when my parents had the Village Shop - sadly they were the last ones able to make the Village Shop Work in this Village, which had 39 businesses in it in the 1950’s, and only one full time Agriculture Equipment plus Fuel Distributors today, a part time Animal Feed seller, and the last Pub is barely hanging on by its fingernails, with the last Landlord having Committed Suicide a few weeks ago. Everything else is long gone sadly.Getting anxious to get my next Sailboat Frankly. Keep up the great work guys, Best Wishes, Fair Winds, and Safe Travels. Bob in Wales still.👍🌟🌟🌟❤️⛵️🏴🇬🇧
I started watching you guys from the very start when you sailed around the UK. I do not know what you guys are doing right but keep doing it we love it and we love you.
its ironic im sitting here on my couch watching you guys on my big tv, thinking, "itd be so nice to be out on a sailboat" and you two sit in that tea shop. :)
It's the jewel in Australia's crown. Not only are the people fantastic, there's the scenery. But that's not the best bit. It's the most boat friendly place in Australia and offers some brilliant sailing and great anchorages. BTW, I'm Victorian.
I lived in tin can bay for a few years for a break from living in the remote desert, my verandah used to look at Carlo sand blow from across the bay, amazing how big it is from a distance
If you can when you get down into NSW see if you pop into Port Macquarie, nice place to visit loads to see and do, great beaches, anchorage, car hire would let to see a lot, Laurieton 20 mins by car where you can drive up to North Brother lookout, fantastic view. Lived in Port for 10 years. There’s a Mexican , check out the toasted Kababs ! Fish and chips! If you go please feel free to ask.
another good one.. good job lads, if you ever get back to the uk, come to Portland Marina we'll have a party some beer music and a talk from you guys.. would be a grin an maybe an earner muchluv Micky B xx
It’s been over 20years since I’ve been to Australia the place is amazing no matter where you go. Give Byron bay a visit. If you have time climb Mount Warning. You can stay the night up there and watch the sun rise in the morning. Love your channel guys look forward to the next episode. 👍🏻
Those places and sailing is familiar to me, btw those sand banks do not shift, but they can catch you unawares. I just came back from UK you got some interesting sailing over there but I prefer it here, my yacht is in storage at Bundaberg. Enjoy.

We have already past Brisbane but we will pop in there on the way back up. Thanks for the tips on the stainless steel very interesting didn't know that 💪
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to put this type of thing together. Could have done without the outage portion. Young kids watching know what was bleeped out.
I’m planning my journey to the English East coast for the next summer and I’ve just found your mark on the navionics chart south of the port of Ramsgate. 👍How crazy! Fair winds!⛵️
Just so you know Luke, sometimes when I get up in the night to go for a pee I also hear the wind. In my case however, I just put it down to the curry I had on my way home from the pub and just go back to bed!
You guys dreaming of sofas and a tv on your boat .... you could always get yourselves a catamaran. I don't know what Atlas would say about that though! Cheers.
Great video. The rigging stay seems to be a design flaw because salt water can get in there. Does that part flex at all? I wonder if you could drip some candle wax in there and that would keep out the water? The new solar panel support pipes is turning out to be a good place to hang out and hold on in rough seas. The guy that did the welding knew his stuff.
Lake Macquarie is a sheltered hangout. There's a bar at Swansea entrance and a drawbridge 2km up. Once inside you can pick and choose where to lay up. I'm taking you two on a waterborne pub crawl in the little tinnie hahaha! I calculate there six schooners to be had, one at each pub/club. Hic! (jks) Lots of local history and some rockstars to boot. Rock up!
*they're. Haha. Ye cannot edit YT comments. Yes lads Port Stephens, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, then the 50nm voyage to Broken Bay/Brisbane Water/Pittwater and the mighty Hawkesbury to be had before Sydney Harbour yeah. Famously dangerous water, those southerly busters roar up the coast in hours.
In about 1969 a group set out from Bobbin Head in a Halvorsen hire cruiser. They came down Cowan Creek to the Hawkesbury and the hire craft limit of Flint And Steel to Juno Head...cracking day and Broken Bay was shimmering, West Head, Box Head, Lion Island etc. Anyhow they motored over the bay defying the rules... moderate calm..a fisho was up on the headland with an instamatic...6 pics shot as the Halvorsen approached Maitland Bommie, picked up by a cresting swell as the bommie emerged from the sea...the Halvo smashed onto it...next wave disintegrated it...5 people thrown out and all perished. Those pics were all over the papers next day. Very tragic.
I've seen yachts sail backwards in both sandy Strait/ harvey bay and long Island sound in the great barrier reef....also very felw people realise how shallow Hervey Bay is at low tide...We've bottom bounced it looking for the marker's in a rain squal...twice anchoring before realising that at dead low we'd be high and dry....in the 1980s, now GPS or chart plotters back then....
Hey Boys, any plans to enter the mighty Clarence River at Yamba ?; This magnificent River system is navigable up to the city of Grafton. Moorings are ,as far as i am aware, available up there. There are two pontoon docks at the Scottish town of Maclean which is on the way up to Grafton. The Pacific Highway bridge at Harwood can be under passed by notification for the raising of the span. All Interesting stuff. Rgds.
Hi Russell, thanks for all the information really appreciate that. We do you have plans on visiting the area of the way back up after New years celebrations 😁
l must say guys l to had great fun sailing around Australia paradise on earth and fabulous sailing are you going to the Whitsundays ? there is some stuff to see there
Can you guys believe you sailed all the way to OZ on your 34ft yacht? I am sure when you left hime you were just popping out for a day sail! Very well done guys. 😃
By far the best sailing adventure channel. Look forward to every episode. From Montreal, Quebec.
Yes, it's definitely one of the best. Refit and sail is good also 🙂
Thank you so much indeed 😊
Real sailors. Incredible adventure
We are on a world adventure 😁
Fab guys, commenting and liking for the algorithm!
Thanks Graham 😄

That sand dune was out of this world!!!! 😮
💯
I just love your down to earth manner of sharing your adventures.
same xx
We love bringing you all along with us ✌️
Beautiful video and great spirit, as always ! You bring a smile into the household every Sunday ! 🤗
But...😠

Take care, sail safe, enjoy to the max 😎
Very sound advice! 👍
Thanks Bruce ✌️
We do know the risks sailing without life jackets being worn and we will take this on board 👍
thanks, chaps, for living my dream
We are very lucky lads 🙏
I just love u 2 crazy fellas, rooting for u all the way. Amazing to witness the adventures of two brothers. Hold fast and have fun, cheers
I think the best way to visit the world is with your brother 😀
Welcome to Australia boys. The east coast is magnificent and challenging, you’ll enjoy it immensely, watch the tides and the bar-ways.
We have to be really enjoying our time so far ✌️
That spot behind woody Island where you anchored is a cracking spot for squidding at night
If you enjoy squidding it's the place to be 👍
@TheSailingBrothers big fish love fresh squid 😉
Good job!
Thanks!
The sound of the wind through the rigging is all the sound track I need to enjoy your adventures (the rest is a bonus 🤣)stay safe brothers and chuck a stake on the Barby!!!👍❤️👍🏴
Awesome, thank you! Delicious 😋
There is something about howling wind through the rigging
I was seven years old when I first crossed Wide Bay Bar in a yacht. It is very exciting to see you guys in my "home waters". I love your channel and never imagined to see you boys in my neck of the woods.
It is an incredible place to sail, so glad to be here 😁

Lovely to see you guys again. Enjoy your adventures 😂😊 blessings 🙌 😊
The wind was absolutely howling through there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ypu guys are bloody awesome and i truly hope you enjoy exploring our Aussie coastline.
It's like you so much Greg 😁
You boys are just having way too much fun...
Way too much fun ☺️
Great to see you having fun love the outtakes. Enjoy Colorado🤠
Really having the best time 😉
Being around sand banks is fine at low tide. Bad news at high tide. Enjoy following you guys.
You got that right 😫👍
We have a great spot and you can stay for a while also have a great shed and tools.
Thanks! Sounds like a great place to stop by 😎
Australia coast, beeches, wildlife......pretty special! You are gonna have a desperate struggle leaving! When you eventually get to Perth & Freo, there are more sailing clubs than people!
We love it here!! 🤩
Great episode guys. It looks beautiful although the great sandy strait looks like the Bristol Channel with that wind over tide!
It was a little like that 😉
I hope they brought you back from that sand blow 🙂. Cracking start to Australia what incredible landscape and its still early doors. Love it.
They did bring us back safely. Funny thing is we only just met them the day before 😎
Well interesting passage . Those tea pots were gorgeous. Did you not have a cake with your tea ? How nice of that couple to take you to that lovely place x
No cake watching our figure 😁
I am enjoying seeing places I did not visit and probably never will, thanks!
We’re glad you’re enjoying it! 👊
Bet you boys can’t wait to get back to Cardiff Bay - grim their right now - you’re having way too much fun - keep making us all jealous- great videos and an amazing achievement with much more to come - well done⛵️⛵️
We are itching to get back 😂😂😂
As always great watch, keep the good work up , from the pinchbecks uk 🇬🇧 xx
Thanks so much! 😊
We use pieces of string tied to the anchor chain every 10 meters to see how much we're putting out ✌️. What happened to your chain?
On the east coast the NE will get really strong (call it a black noreaster), the day before a southerly "buster' or change. Good to see that dune from the top, only ever seen it from the sea. Top work guys.
It is a really cool spot 😄. So nice of the couple we met to take us there
Great love it ,well done lads .its cold and wet in Barry
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Amazing you guys are really great for spending the time together in harmony, good job.
We do get on very well 😁
How fun to see you on the Carlo sand blow I have been there Hang gliding a few times.
It was quite an amazing place to be 👊
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
My pleasure! 😀
Looking nice out there so far. What out for the sharks 😂.
And saltwater crocodiles 😮
Well done lads! Been following since you left the UK - epic!
Cheers Stuart 😀
Great to see you buying fruit n veg. Greengrocers always used to wear fingerless knitted gloves in the cold (at least round our way).
Green grocers in Barry where we were from wore fingerless gloves too 😁
Nice job guys, nice Fruit and Vegetables too - I always had to do the Display when my parents had the Village Shop - sadly they were the last ones able to make the Village Shop Work in this Village, which had 39 businesses in it in the 1950’s, and only one full time Agriculture Equipment plus Fuel Distributors today, a part time Animal Feed seller, and the last Pub is barely hanging on by its fingernails, with the last Landlord having Committed Suicide a few weeks ago. That is very sad 😢

Yes Tin Can bay a great place , had the best meal there . From NZ

I started watching you guys from the very start when you sailed around the UK. I do not know what you guys are doing right but keep doing it we love it and we love you.
Hope you catch up with this pretty soon 👍
its ironic im sitting here on my couch watching you guys on my big tv, thinking, "itd be so nice to be out on a sailboat" and you two sit in that tea shop. :)

Always a pleasure 😁
Utterly envious fella’s, thank you ❤
It's a pleasure showing the adventure 😄
So cool to see 👀 you guys in TCB 😅 well done, all the way from the UK ❤
Thank you very much really appreciate that 🙏
Keep going south, Tasmania and the southern coast of Australia has a lot to offer.
It's the jewel in Australia's crown. Not only are the people fantastic, there's the scenery. But that's not the best bit. It's the most boat friendly place in Australia and offers some brilliant sailing and great anchorages. BTW, I'm Victorian.
Let's see how far we can get 👍
Always great!!!👍
👊👍
I paraglided near these dunes in Oz - strange to see it again
Seems like the perfect paragliding place 👍
Thanks! Good to see you again.
Thanks very much Dracey. Nice to see you too
Happy Sailing, Fellas!! Watch out for the wallabys!😀👍👍
We will! 👊👊
I lived in tin can bay for a few years for a break from living in the remote desert, my verandah used to look at Carlo sand blow from across the bay, amazing how big it is from a distance
It is a pretty wild amazing place 😁

The sand dune was absolutely amazing so was the tea ☕
Just like being home, watching British TV, Joan, (Am a feif), sofas, tea.
Can't get any more British on the sailing Brothers 👍
Enjoy down under. All the Britishness of Australia is making ye homesick. Take a trip home to see yere Mum then continue on to next place ❤
Thanks, It's tough being away from home for so long 😭
If you can when you get down into NSW see if you pop into Port Macquarie, nice place to visit loads to see and do, great beaches, anchorage, car hire would let to see a lot, Laurieton 20 mins by car where you can drive up to North Brother lookout, fantastic view.
Lived in Port for 10 years. There’s a Mexican , check out the toasted Kababs ! Fish and chips! If you go please feel free to ask.
We were just literally there 😂
another good one.. good job lads, if you ever get back to the uk, come to Portland Marina we'll have a party some beer music and a talk from you guys.. would be a grin an maybe an earner muchluv Micky B xx
Sounds great thanks Micky 👊👊
Looks like you are having a great time in the wonderful land of Oz , certainly better weather than the UK.-enjoy it. Love the outtakes by the way .
Really can't beat the weather Sunny and hot every day 🌻
Excellent, comme à chaque fois. Downwind against tide is dangerous for the mast, even with 2 reefs. Vous nous avez fait peur.
It is a little tricky but exhilarating 💪
Fun video!
👍
Thanks!
Thank you so much William really really appreciate that
You and Sam are my go to sailing channels....keep it up boys!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice beach and a nice down wind sail. Keep making the videos 🙂
Some of the best beaches of the world

so your heading from one south wales to another new south wales, have fun lads and take care
From South Wales to New South Wales 👊
It’s been over 20years since I’ve been to Australia the place is amazing no matter where you go. Give Byron bay a visit. If you have time climb Mount Warning. You can stay the night up there and watch the sun rise in the morning. Love your channel guys look forward to the next episode. 👍🏻
Sounds really cool 😎, I will put it on the list of great places to visit 👊
Great vlog guys, well done.
Thank you Julie 🙂
Thanks for another wonderful video! Beautiful area!
Thank you very much, really appreciate that
You found Turkey Teeth in Australia haha good episode guys
🤣🤣
what a beautiful place
It really is!
Welcome to Australia, from a valley boy.
Go dale 😄
Those places and sailing is familiar to me, btw those sand banks do not shift, but they can catch you unawares. I just came back from UK you got some interesting sailing over there but I prefer it here, my yacht is in storage at Bundaberg. Enjoy.
The UK is a pretty good place to sail but Australia is incredible 😍
if only you headed to south australia .... good adventures fellas
We would like to however I don't think we have time
Strewth another bonza episode guys. Go Atlas
✌️😁
Another beautiful destination to add to your list, lads. If you are going to Brisbane you might want to consider Alexandra Headlands. It's worth it just for the fish & chips!
Be careful with your SS. I imagine most of your stainless will be either 304 or 316/316L. You should not really attempt to clean 316 with anything but soapy water, as 316 has what is known as a 'passive layer' or 'passive film'. It is a layer of oxygen that covers the stainless and protects it from oxidisation. Do not go near 316 with anything that contains alkalines, high PH value/7>, which you can find in many commercial cleaning products. Alkalines destroy the passive layer and the SS will begin to rust.
Thanks for the upload. Looking forward to seeing you next week. Fair winds, from sunny Honkers!
We have already past Brisbane but we will pop in there on the way back up. Thanks for the tips on the stainless steel very interesting didn't know that 💪
Guest appearance of Jamaica T-shirt 😊
Ohh yeah 👍
Great video. Thank you😀⛵️
Thanks so much 😀
70 foot boat ~ omg!
Imagine that
Hey my two favourite sailing channels will be in Brisbane!! Would be great if you could do an episode with SV Delos. I love you both
Thanks very much that is very kind of you. We have reached out to them before but they didn't respond
oatcakes are great 😄oh out takes 😉 cheers guys always look forward to Sunday evening
Glad you like them! 😁
We have a good laugh making these episodes
Good luck cruising the east coast of OZ...
Not too many easy anchorages
We have been ok so far apart from some pretty dangerous bars
Fab as ever!
👊
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to put this type of thing together. Could have done without the outage portion. Young kids watching know what was bleeped out.
You're welcome! It's always fun putting these videos together 😁. I will take the swearing into consideration ✌️
that greengrocer section was epic..amazing what you miss. i tells ya its freezing in uk so lap it in lads
It is very cold back home 🥶
I’m planning my journey to the English East coast for the next summer and I’ve just found your mark on the navionics chart south of the port of Ramsgate. 👍How crazy! Fair winds!⛵️
We remember anchoring there it's a fine place 😁
Very good, I enjoyed this video, good stuff, cheers 🍻
Thanks heaps, glad you liked it 👍
BROS down under ,luvely chubbly. XX
Amazing isn't it 😁
Just so you know Luke, sometimes when I get up in the night to go for a pee I also hear the wind. In my case however, I just put it down to the curry I had on my way home from the pub and just go back to bed!
🤩🤣🤣🤣🤣
got ot say Lads another great video KRO like the out takes as its real lads thats life nice one
It's just like a life vlog 😎
Ok. You got me. Fresh fruit and verges! Need to see footage on you eating them though, otherwise I’ll think you just got them for the parrots!
Believe me they were delicious 🤤
You guys dreaming of sofas and a tv on your boat .... you could always get yourselves a catamaran. I don't know what Atlas would say about that though! Cheers.
Just think of all that lovely space 😁
Great video. The rigging stay seems to be a design flaw because salt water can get in there. Does that part flex at all? I wonder if you could drip some candle wax in there and that would keep out the water? The new solar panel support pipes is turning out to be a good place to hang out and hold on in rough seas. The guy that did the welding knew his stuff.
We have always thought it's a bit of a design floor as it holds water. I like the idea of dripping wax in there never would have thought of that 😎
Great videos boys come to Lake Macquarie we have a jetty and a mooring for you and would love to cook you dinner and have a cup of tea (or beers)
Looks like quite the incredible place 😍
Lake Macquarie is a sheltered hangout. There's a bar at Swansea entrance and a drawbridge 2km up. Once inside you can pick and choose where to lay up. I'm taking you two on a waterborne pub crawl in the little tinnie hahaha! I calculate there six schooners to be had, one at each pub/club. Hic! (jks) Lots of local history and some rockstars to boot. Rock up!
We have been looking at that on the charts looks pretty damn cool 😎 🍻
*they're.
*still not right haha. (Ed.)

The current is very strong a bit like the Bristol Channel. Just recently we bounced on the bottom in Ballina on the sandbank 🤣🤣
@TheSailingBrothers you guys gonna call into Port Macquarie on the way down.....Love to buy you both a beer....👍
We have just left from there. On the way down to Sydney now. We will be back on our way north@@martinknope9805
Keeping the dreams alive lads,
Looking amazing, I’m guessing you are going to visit the neighbours tv street?
That's the plan! 😀
Love it 😍
San Diego ca has thousands of Parrots!!
I never would have thought 🧐

Absolutely! Never thought in a million years we would sail this boat all the way to Australia 🦘
