I picked up a white 2013 Audi S4 B8.5 Premium + Quattro with the supercharged 3.0T and I found $15k worth of mods. This is the spec everyone wants. SPORT DIFF with the (DSG) Dual Clutch Transmission! Carbon fiber with alcantara inside it! In this video I will show you the car and go over all of the mods. This thing is very quick and the exhaust is extremely loud! I have some plans for this car, so please consider subscribing! Mods listed below!

B8s are a fantastic tuner car. Tons of power potential with minimal mods and the engine is known to be reliable. Great choice!
nice pick up.
I love my B8 S4.
Ive owned it for 8 years and its been my daily driver. Now have 185k miles. Been tuned stage 1 IE since 85k. Its been the best car ive ever owned.
Great comment. I have the B8.5 S5 manual with 76k. I heard great things about the reliability & to see ur at 185k with a stage 1 tune is awesome
any other mods? im looking at one right now with 60k miles for 19k
@EXERGAMING Besides tune I only have a CTS intake. Not performance oriented but I have radar detector blend mounted. Rest of stuff Ive done was all maintenance oriented. Still driving it every day.
That's sick bro! Love the sound of the engine. Great looking car for being 10 years old, well taken care of and the mods are awesome. Looks like you've found an old gem that's going to be a lot of fun.
So pumped for you bro been really hoping you would get into another whip. Happy you are doing well my guy!
So sorry just seen this, thank you bro, mean a lot!
Great Vid.. I bought a 2012 (B8) as a project car in January, bone stock and converted to a B8.5 and did all the mods to it. I picked it up for 10K Canadian and put about that much more in mods with the intention to never sell it.. they are just too fun not to have one.. I know these cars very well and happy to share my mods.. BTW.. open up the air box and the SC whine will come to life!!! I went with an 034 open intake.. and love it !! Cheers
Dude thank you! 034 has agreed to work with me on RUclips! I’m so excited, my AWE carbon intake is busted, I found that out when doing the coils and plugs. Anyways, thanks for the tip, sick car 10000% and I’m a twin turbo nut
I plan on wrapping my stinger myself as well, so many wrap shops now a days charge too much to wrap your car (avg quotes $4000-$6000+ USD). It's far more fun to do it yourself anyways because the more you do it yourself the better you get at it.
I agree, if you are just patient and don’t expect perfection , I think it will turn out fine. Nobody but you will notice the really bad parts. You can always go back and re work or wrap those areas. Charging that kind of money is making re consider my day job! You could make some serious loot if you got good and efficient with it!
I just bought almost the same exact B8 from my buddy. Glacier white Lowered on Billstein coils, rs4 grill, and just full sleeper. Had the same experience with the AC. I turned it on one day and it wasn’t working at all and then like 30 minutes later just started blowing cold air.
Congrats Nick, this sounds better than the 3.3 engine by a lot 😮 also would it be more reasonable to just paint the whole car if the paint needs works and has dents, I would go for British racing green with gold/bronze rims! 🔥
Thanks Hasan! Make a good point, I def can’t justify a $5k wrap job that doesn’t last super long. Dipping the car is tempting for the price and it lasts longer than wrap, but paint would prob be best. First things first, I need some healthy logs and AC! 👊
@twn2rbo still have to put something on top of the paint to protect it or you're back in the same spot lol
I'm excited to see what you do with this new platform. Also really curious to see how reliable it is, and maintenance costs, compared to the Stinger.
Thanks, man! I will go ahead and say the maintenance / reliability on the Stinger is going to be much less expensive. I pushed my stinger very hard, although it had 100 miles on it when I got it and 26k when I dumped it, but it was a very strong engine. These it looks like the common failures are PCV, Water Pump, Thermostat, thankfully those were just replaced. However, the DSG / mechatronics or whatever can go out and that’s like $5k, from what I read. A lot of that has to do with maintenance and service intervals bc I’ve seen B8’s with up to 150k miles modded heavy and still running strong. This one feels strong and looks to have had some love.
@TWN 2RBO Appreciate the feedback! A S6 might be next after the Stinger for me.
I own b7 s line 2.0tdi 2007 196000 miles still going strong in the lovely scottish weather 😊
Congrats on the purchase! Looks like its going to be fun to drive!
Thanks, Josh! So far it is!
O34 dp paired with awe touring sounds fantastic imo. I’m full stage 2+ 450 wheel and I think it sounds perfect. Has an exoticish sound. Big difference from my straight pipe
I have a B8 S4, the best exhaust setup I’ve heard on these is either the Valvetronic cat-back exhaust, where you can open and close the valves to make it louder and quieter respectively. Or you could add some Magnaflow mufflers/ resonators and then get some “build your own valved exhaust cutouts” from ECS Tuning. Either option leaves you with the ability to calm it down, while maintaining that track ready and loud ass exhaust.
That’s actually a great idea on the build your own cutouts. I’ll look into that, I’ve gotten quite a few suggestions on Vibrant resonators, have you heard those? Maya flow is a respectable name, I will check those out as well. I’ll prob have a muffler shop do some custom work with those options. Esp now that I broke my rear exhaust hanger going over a speed bump
@@twn2rbo Yeah I’ve heard vibrant is good, I know that Adam at Vancityaudi has a video where he puts some vibrant resonators on with Integrated Engineering downpipes. But currently I’m just running a stock exhaust with a front resonator delete, cause I don’t love the way the X-pipes sound. I have cutouts after my mid resonator so it’s basically muffler delete I can turn on and off, and it sounds really good but not loud when the cutouts are closed.
@@tymichaelis9735 do you have the manual or DSG? Audizine was saying the b8 DSGs (version 1) had a lot of issues, was wondering how yours has held up? I’m debating doing the DSG service now to have a baseline, esp since it’s tuned. The fact that it’s due every 30k makes me a little concerned
@@twn2rbo2016 S5 owner here, experiencing transmission issues like not engaging when letting off from a stop and no reverse. Picked it up with 39.4k miles and now at 50.2k. Didn’t notice any symptoms until over a month after purchase. The most noticeable symptom was when creeping to a stop, the car would jolt a little forward as it auto downshifted from 2-1
@@fuzzy_gooch7556 I would do DSG service , it’s due every 30k, and modded prob needs to be done even sooner. They put DSG in the S5 back then?
I own a Audi s3 with only a cold air intake, guarantee the s4 will run better with all those performance mods . Well worth it
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, Millz!
Nice Audi bro!! I love supercharged cars. I use to have a 2003 Mustang Cobra Terminator. I think I actually prefer the sound of the blower over turbos.
Ha! I remember those, those sound 10x better though lol! I still think V8s sound the best, this will prob be the last v6 I tinker with, my plan is to get C63s coupe twin turbo v8 next.
@@twn2rbo Dude!! C63s are so sweet!!
B8 is my next purchase. My 03 wrx has done its job for me for the past 8 years now but its time to move on
Here from b8 network. Definitely stoked on this car
Awesome! I may be working with 034 Motorsports after I run e30, not sure on this IE stage 2
That's pretty good. Great video. Is it stupid loud when it in comfort mode ?
nice car man! i have a 3.0t S5, in the process pf modding but obsessed with the platform. i know several people with cars modded as heavily as yours who have very high miles, and never any serious issues.
so your exhaust is gunna be difficult to really significantly quiet down, seeing as you have longtube headers and no cats. these cars are notorious for their drone and rasp without cats. the best option is to start is to gut the stock cats, and not use test pipes or long tubes. it is cool though you have headers, they're a rare and expensive mod.
but as far as the resonators, id recommend putting a borla resonated x-pipe right where the two pipes become parallel after the headers end. magnaflows blow out on these, dont use them. then id use vibrant ultra quiet resonators after that. you could probably go up to 2 on each pipe if you feel the need to, but id start with 1 on each.
and for more supercharger whine, the only thing you can really do to get more at the point you're at, is maybe get an open air intake
also, some other super cheap mods that make a very noticeable difference if you dont have them, are the drivetrain inserts that 034 motorsports make. they have them for the trans, the driveshaft support bushing, the diff bushings, and the rear subframe bushings. they help the car accelerate quicker, and handle better. also, as far as tuning, 034 motorsports is considered the best these days when it comes to reliability, and drag strip numbers. they dont have the feature to tune with your phone yet, but ive heard its coming.
I appreciate the valuable info! I’ve been seeing the Borla x pipe and vibrant resonators suggestion pop up a lot in forums. Cut outs would be cool as well, I don’t mind it being loud since it’s not a daily, but the rasp and drone are out of control haha! I’ll take a screen shot and use this if I take this route, thanks!
Very cool car and you got an awesome deal! Congrats on the new whip.
Appreciate it, man! Now for some clean logs and AC, I will sleep better lol
Nice S4! My b8.5 S5 is pretty much an identical build to this except I’m on a different pulley ratio. Our times and trap speed are close as well. What area are you in?
Thanks bro! North Side Indianapolis, I would love to collab with a S4 owner that’s modded for a video, I think that would be good for being so new to the platform
My brother had one of these with ECS valves exhaust go from super loud to super quiet with just the button
Yeah valved exhaust is sick, my friends RS5 has that and love it
For exhaust just get a cat back awe tuning or track. For the intake an open intake from any vendor will definitely bring out the whine. Your almost at the 100k mark and a lot of maintenance items should be done already or getting ready to done like injectors, carbon clean, water pump, thermostat, timing chain, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing and pcv. Luckily some enthusiasts made a more robust thermostat and a diy pcv set up that will last longer then oem and is easily changeable
AWE touring is on now, thankfully the water pump, therm, PCV was done 10k ago. But I’m sure it def needs to be walnut blasted.. so far no oil leaks 🤞 but I’m concerned on the injectors , I’m about to swap plugs, having misfires.
Yup, take the lid off of the intake and you'll hear the whine more.👍
You should get the Euro projector headlights for that car - it will make your stock headlights appear like driving blind!!!
I have a 2015 sepang blue audi s4. Bought from audi at 26k , tuned 1 Apr next day. Next week stage 2 Apr , roc euro intake, upgraded supercharger pulley+ belt. I am now at 128k. Only issue I’ve had was the timing chain being replaced. Pricey but worth it. This is my ultimate sleeper with the outside completely stock. Was told 450-500 crank hp. I’ve raced Daytona chargers and pulled on them even at higher speeds.
Oh and try roc euro intake. Loudest intake out there. People swear the supercharger sounds insane 😂
Happy for you bro
Appreciate it man! Good things are happening 💯
My AC went out on my 2012 Audi S4 and it was a $18.00 sensor in front of the radiator. It picked up on the OBD reader as a fault code. Easy diy.
What ODB do you recommend for Audis?
OK. Ima give a few comments, but I cant watch all the video till later. Headed for leg day, but will watch the entirety later. Ive owned multiple Audi's. A5, S5, S6, and RS5. Audi makes a great ride. But each version has their own issues that pop up. The mere fact that it has all the work done would either scare the shit out of me or give me comfort if I had every part listed that was worked. Never an issue with brakes or handles. But boy, stock up on cardboard for the floor of your garage. Above 75K miles, they leak from........name the gasket or the seal. Sick ride, and Im not hatin. But as previously stated, Ive owned a ton of them.......and If speed is all your after, you will be happy. But, the luxury items that come with a Stinger GT2 interior and, as you know, its not hard to get over 400hp on the KIA......I would take the KIA over Audi, BMW, and Mercedes every damn time. Side note, I lived in Japan from 1991 - 2005 and owned multiple Skyline GT-R's. The quattro really equates to the AWD of the Skyline, and was the reason I owned so many. But, plug n play and interior amenities you get from the KIA make it the best band for your buck. The A/C issues with the R8 is the reason I have never owned one of those. Gotta pull the engine just to fix. Congrats on the new ride though. You will be more than pleased with the performance.
Thanks for the comment! Yeah this will be interesting, I’m def not going to DD this thing!
How many SC intercoolers did he give you? 😂 Get an obdeleven to figure out what cylinder is misfiring and keep an eye on your coolant level. If cylinder 3 or 6 is misfiring, could be coolant leaking from the SC into the cylinder. Also, a magnaflow or borla res xpipe on the downpipes will tame the volume and rasp. Check out my catless exhaust setup.
Mis fires and engine lights will be a constant worry with even a slightly tuned Audi. I love mine, but can't wait to get rid of it as well
I would check for timing chain rattle, there’s no service interval but they are known to rattle bad as a sign of needing replaced. Otherwise , these engines are solid. PCV, water pump/ therm are weak points too but not horrible to change. Have you heard a rattle?? Sick deal bro
Good looking out, I did see some mentions of this on Audizine! Thanks
Theres actually a TSB from audi on the chain rattle. Its the shitty plastic guides but it doenst mean you have to get them replaced. It doesnt indicate any sort of damage
@@LibertyGunsBeerTrump I’ve been digging into it, you have a good idea for something I’m going to put in one of my upcoming vids. Thanks!
What a steal! Such a great purchase. Congrats!
Thanks so much!
Sleeper time. Can't wait to see that wrap! Calm it down? No way :D
You agree on wrap? Or paint match bumper for a panda build 🐼
@@twn2rbo I guess it would be a better sleeper to paint match; however, I was digging that matte wrap! Kind of leaning heavy on wrap tbh!
@@haterllnation I think it would look sick too, plus if I can figure out how to wrap a car by practicing mine, that could be a nice side hustle!
@@haterllnationwhat's protecting the paint for rock chips and chipping ? Nothing that's why paint jobs are a waste until u spend another 2k for ppf lol
There is a clutch on the front of the AC compressor, that is what probably is your intermittent issue. So my guess is that clutch is either bad or the wiring to it is.
Did he do all the work for coolant pipes and pcv change out? I'd spend some money to replace the coolant cross pipe underneath the supercharger, water pump, pcv, front cross coolant pipe, and get a new coolant tank. Also, front supercharger coolant cross pipe and two rubber hose. Not sure if there is an updated front heat exchanger, but you'll likely need one. At 90k mile, need tons of service - spark plugs, injectors, ignition coils, likely new o2 sensors if not swapped out or no extender adaptor, tcu tune, DSG filter, fluid change and supercharger oil change (got mine done at 94k miles - life of the car per audi is around 120k miles). Once you get those done, you need to keep in mind about the timing chain tick. I have one, and always take it to audi shop or do it yourself. There is a way you have to put bolts in pipes to the head, otherwise, you'll end up spending $5k on re-threading it - and you may have to take the engine out depends on which bolt. If I had to do it again, I'd do it again. Super reliable car. Very well made. It's just that some parts fail at 85-90k miles.
Forgot thermostat change if not changed out already
Thanks! He did do the thermostat, PCV and WP 10k miles ago. There is a separate reservoir for the supercharger, looks like a divorced system, Merc heat exchanger on front. For the piping I haven’t looked yet. I think he modified the pin harness that connects under the coolant overflow res, the fans kick on and off when I open the door and after a drive, almost like a turbo timer. I dug into it a little and it seems like the ac intermittent cuts out may be on the same relay, for that I need to have a specialist diagnose. He said he just changed the ac compressor… but who knows. I thought it was a feature on the IE tune, but theirs looks manual where you turn it on and off with the cruise control stock, so this is something wacky going on unfortunately.
@@twn2rbo I have the ie stage 2 tune and it's the cruise control for fan control. When I shut my car off, nothing runs. There is audi oil cycle after you turn the car off stock I think but trying to figure out what's making the fan turn on after ignition off. I'd pull the code then do a visual inspection. It could be simple as a sensor not clicked in to car running too hot. Click on the button on the bottom of the right of where the windshield washer fluid three to four times to get you to the timer (hopefully it's enables already) to see what the oil temp is.
I'd do a pressure test on the ac pipes. Could be the ac pressure switch gone bad. It could be up front next to the supercharger pulley where it's gone bad, if the coolant work was done. Ac compressor possibly.
Do you have heat?
Quarter mile at 133mph !!!!! This is the fastest iv seen on you tube. And he got the car for 12.5k :) Bruh.... Njoy
Nice find. An open air box will definitely produce the whine you are looking for. Seems like the bumper is ibis white and the car is glacier white (hint of blue). I had a 2014 in a similar spec. They are great cars.
Awesome! I think I’m going to try the 034 open one next. This one is already busted and loose making the air filter get a little too dirty
yep my Ibis S5 looks egg colored next to Glacier cars
Whats up bro, I have a similar setup but my exhaust im running an awe track with resonators sounds clean and crispy no rasp
Right on! I’m about to upload a video of me just ripping on this thing and some parking garage action. At this point it’s kind of comical lol, but I will def take you guys up on adding some resonators, I’ve seen it makes a big difference. I don’t mind loud, just don’t lake rasp city
Great car. Motor mounts trans mount rear dif incerts and play on.
The main control module might be knackered I’ve a b9 s5 had ac problems and it would be temperamental turning on that’s what it turned out to be
So I had the exact same problem with the ac in my Q5, can’t remember the exact code but it was for ac compressor signal implausibility. Ended up replacing the ac pressure switch. Now I’m not saying yours is the exact same issue, but I would at least start with a high grade scan tool like an OBDeleven to see if the hvac system is throwing codes. Hopefully you track it down!
That is awesome! Thanks for letting me know that, he mentioned he just replaced the AC Compressor so you know how that goes, fix one thing something else goes lol. Hopefully it’s something like that, I got him down to $15k and then the day we met at bank the AC decided to stop working and shaved off an extra $2,300. It could work out to my benefit 🤞
@@twn2rbo def start with a VAG specific scan tool that will get you in the right ballpark. It will also give you an idea of whats going on with the cooling fans which im going to guess is the thermostat on the way out.
In the uk in 2007 a 2k car (vauxhall corsa b with a c20let engine) with front wheel drive and 6k in mods would run 9s 10s at santapod raceway with only a 2.0 litre in it. I dont find todays numbers impressive for the cost etc
Sounds like the blower motor for the AC is what's failing and should be a super easy fix.
Ryan, you are correct! I’m throwing tog a vid with everything I’ve found wrong w this car and that is what was wrong, I orders the blower motor from FCPEuro, since they lifetime warranty all their parts, and it arrived, looks like a 1 hr job no hard at all. I’m going to throw that in the vid! Thanks for leaving a comment though 👊👊
Working my ass off rn to buy a B8.5 S4, cant waaait till I have it Dx
My wife drives a B8, fantastic to drive around but problems pop up every 6 months or so. Excellent road trip car. Luckily we have a reliable independent Audi mechanic we go to, where I’m from; Botswana the total bill is never more than $150 per issue and we buy a lot of our parts from South Africa so I’d chuck it off to the cost of ownership. It’s been 2 years and 28,000 miles on it. We got it at 55,000 miles. (I’ve converted for my US people).
PCV Replaced
Front upper and lower control arms replaced
Aux water pump replaced
Top timing cover replaced
Currently we need to replace:
Oxygen Sensor
Booster pipe service; there is a small leak
So I’m getting some rough idle on it. Check engine light just came on.
I want to replace the set of tires. 245/40 R18:
Conti Sportcontact 5
Bridgestone Portenza Sport
Goodyear EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 5
Looking to do a road trip to Cape Town right after New Years. Cost of ownership so far has been around $750 per year including major service (2 done so far); excluding insurance and fuel.
I prefer to have a somewhat quiet car so i can enjoy music. The popping shit annoys me so much. It was cool to see it on DDE channel back in the day but its not realistic in everyday life unless its on the highway away from neighborhoods. S4 is on the top of my list. 350hp is good enough for me but maybe do a Stage 1 or 2. Make the stock a little spicy. Oh i see this vid is months old. Can't wait to see it now!!!
The transmission meckatronics tend to act up. Other then that nice rig. Paint that dash trim black instead of the silver. Makes a world of difference
Yeah I’m glad I have the second gen DSG, but it’s still prone. This one wasn’t modified until 80k and it’s had regular DSG maintenance, but it’s still on the back of my mind lol
@@twn2rbo ya all those time slips would have me saving for the rebuild kit for the dsg. Its not if, its a when kinda thing after that many hard launches on record. If I didn't have an ultra rare 1 of 200 b8 Audi ( has rs4 interior from factory) id own an b8 S4 manual
@@gasNmudtv yes indeed, I tell everyone that as well. Right now she shifts great with no hesitation or roughness, I will say the IE DSG tune is nice. Dynamic mode it wakes up, I love a manual but no way I could shift that fast
If you get a chance, if you could just reach out or maybe touch base. I have a similar car with the same motor and i'm looking to somewhat get to that level so you know any kind of performance list so I could look at it and put it against what I have in mind would be greatly appreciated. Wish you the best
I picked up my new to me 2012 S4 B8. It had some mods from the previous 3 owners. So it’s pretty track ready, I will be doing road courses. Taking it to Summit Point West Virginia next month. 🫡
Yes!!! Congrats
🔥 it’s funny cause I still wanna get my stinger but that was one of the cars I wanted before that. I might be in the minority but I like super Charged better than turbo.
This is my first supercharged car and the sounds it makes is so cool, but one thing for sure is there is no lag with the throttle, it’s instant when you mash it! These things have aged quite well. I met with with a new Stinger we TCU tuned in my garage yesterday and we both went out to record some launches, the S4 is still faster 💨
I just left a kia stinger for a 2024 s4 loaded.
That kia was the worst car i have owned.
I hope you see the light.
Well done.
Ahaha beast, im about to sell mine soon too. Same mods even louder xD
Nice, what are you going with next?
@@twn2rbo its been hard to figure out cant tell if i want older and more special or newer and more basic... been looking for my replacement first then selling.
Looks like the coolant was low. May want to get the cooling system pressure checked for leaks.
I changed the oil and didn’t see any thankfully, I top it off when I replaced the auxiliary coolant pump for the supercharger
B8.5 🔥
I got a b8 s4 bro stage 1 tuned I love it😎🔥 wanna do stage 3….an you Upgrade the intake to make to supercharger louder maybe a CTS intake
Do you think I have to go stage 2 before 3?
Only time I hear whine on any of the supercharged cars I've had was with stock pulleys and a Cia or open intake. Upgrade the pulleys and it diminishes.
Yeah man this things screams so loud with headers and no cats lol. I’m not even going to try. You can hear it outside the car but yeah. If you have IG, I just uploaded a couple of clips doing some pulls from the next vid going up
I have my window sticker for my 1998 2g eclipse lol
How much was it??
From a performance standpoint, there is not much you can do. Someone knew ehat they ere doing and they didn't hold back on this one. I konda like the fact it looks stock, that's a perfect daily sleeper.
That’s what I’m think too , I’m after the performance, it’s already lowered so that looks cool. I just need paint match that bumper. But once I do a mod, I can’t stop until it’s done lol
Leave it alone ..On the outside looks awesome
Why did he give you 20 stock intercooler bricks lmao
No! Keep it white and convert the interior to red. Similar to the honda integrate type r.
IE and 034 Motorsports are great tuners for the S4, wht we’re the track times on the time slips? I have a B9 S4
That’s what I’ve come to find out as well, the best ET was 10.57 and 10.87 but most were between 11.2-11.5. I bet the 10s was with e40 and WMI, I’m not sure I wanna run the meth being aluminum block and all, I may do it a couple times just for a video since it’s already installed though

Appreciate it! Color is still undetermined, but the brand I will go with is TinyBot Vynil, they are one of the best and the price is reasonable
Audis s and rs have the best seats hands down. My b6 s4 recaro seats r amazing
I love the older s line Audis. I put a clip on a b5 imola yellow 6spd in my last vid. Also, the new b9.5 RS5 was veryyyyy comfortable. Always been a huge fan of Audis lines, I think that’s one of the reasons I love the Stinger GT so much, it was designed by Audis Peter S.
How much is it for just the tune
What about the mechatronic? Had an issue with it yet? Lol
If you gut the stock cats and use the AWE touring cat back you can get a nice exhaust note and still be catless
Current setup is no cats, AWE touring, long tube ceramic headers. I love the sound except the 2400 rpm DSG fart that is the loudest rasp note ever. All other sounds are awesome for a 6
@@twn2rbo I struggled with perfecting my S4 exhaust and found that the gutted cats help reduce rasp because of the little chamber that’s left. Using any sort of straight pipe on the headers will make for a pretty awful sound haha
@@awesomesweetmagic yeah at the end of the day the firing order of most V6 don’t sound the best with that setup. I would love to get a TTV8 AMG c63s one day
If you could update the infotainment to like the b9s then it’s the perfect car
you better have kept the peelers
Bro, cut a hole in your intake. Supercharger will scream. I run a closed APR intake and cut strategic holes and it sounds just like an open intake without the heat soaking I was getting
My carbon AWE box is shot, it’s broken I found out when I did the coils last time, I suppose I could, where did you put them? On the front or side facing fender?
is this the best year to get ?
I think so, it has the 2nd gen Dual Clutch Trans and it’s a refreshed verson (b8.5) so it looks newer. Pretty much the same awesome 3.0t though, which is the most reliable S line Audi engine to date
Get a 2015 or 2016 if you can. They have the all the updates. In all honesty, I think the B8.5 (esp. 2015/16) are some of the best cars money can buy.
CST CAI will make it sing.
B8.5 is probably one of the most reliable Audis out there
Borla exhaust with resonator replaced with x-pipe.
Haven’t heard that one yet, I’ll check for some clips. I’ve been suggested Vibrant resinators to tame the rasp down a little
@@twn2rbo Borla already great quality. Resonator makes it to quiet. replacing it with x pipe amplifies sound. No rasp at all.
We’ll done, sir. Congrats!!!
Get the Milltek exhaust. That is all...
I def want to keep the cats off being stage 2+ though, is that exhaust quieter than my AWE Touring you think? I’ve been suggested some Vibrant resonators as well to add on.
@@twn2rbo It is. Its the only one I've witnessed that's pretty comparable to my custom axle back setup. And its nothing more than a pair of borla mufflers and tips.
@@the.wanginator that’s a good idea, I didn’t think of a custom setup. This muffler shop said they could do something to keep it high flow but eliminate rasp, I think their resonators are universal but look awful close to the Vibrant ones. I think they are like $130 each. First things first though, getting all the things that need fixed first, I look forward to it though, these cars are amazing values!
@@twn2rbo ya they are, I've had mine since 2016. Just ran through it and refreshed a lotta stuff. Finally off stock suspension, just did chains, tensioners and all that madness. Runs and drives like new again. Well, better than new!
@@the.wanginator nice, man! What spec do you have? Are you B8.5 with manual or DSG? I’m glad I have the 2nd gen DSG, been digging into the Audi forums to learn about the platform.
Non res down pipes awe touring exhaust
My 15 S4 has only 7.5k miles!!!
Timing chains are due at 100k
There isn’t a service interval for timing chains, that would be a belt system. Chains are life of engine, however it is an Audi and the tensioners are known to go bad on other Audi engines. I will be keeping an ear open on cold starts for the death rattle, in that case engine would have to come out and there’s 4 timing chains on the back on this engine 😅
I was the owner of 2011 and drove it 86,000km. Never unhappy every moment...❤
Something about the cars prior to 2014 , but the driving experience is way more real. I love tech and adapt to changes well, but this car lowered and maxed out on power is quite the experience
from now on in a time when I have more money, I want to buy one like this, at least between 2014-2016
I think you will enjoy it, I would grab a B8 with a manual if you can find out with a good service history. If you go auto, get 2013+ DSG. The first gen DSGs are know to be more problematic. This is a solid engine for Audi though, just needs to be maintained properly 😁
@@twn2rbo thank you very much for your recommendations
@@JASONHN absolutely bro! I’ll post the good , bad and ugly of whatever happens, but even at 90k miles (modded for 15k) this car feels like it still has plenty to give still.
If only it wasn’t an automatic.
Sounds like a baby GTR
Please don't LOWER THE S4 IS PERFECTLY FINE THE WAY IT IS .
It’s already on KWs :) no way I would go lower, I also think it looks perfect the way it is
Dooope!
Same engine as you bro! It has some serious potential 👊
Yeah you got some sick upgrades though. Slowly working my way up to that. I just got an rs6 grill I need to install.
NOT Twin turbo man.. I have a S5 Cabriolet 2013 FULLY molded out w/ 034 mods.. Still Fast AF, but NOT twin turbo..
S4 over here S4 over there ....what's that auto trans over here, no manual trans over there= no sports car here or there
I've yet to get a stinger to race any of my cars. Why you buy if you don't run it?? makes zero sense. Buy the Forte and call it a day. Pocket 40K
Also be careful using water-alcohol injection when it comes to aluminum blocks.
$12,500 was his purchase price for those wanting to know.
That’s what the future vids are for and previous vids to explain. and yes, no car payment :)
Remove the cover and make everyone know something is winding a spool.
If you wanted bankruptcy shoulda bought a b5 😂
12k is fuckin nuts.
Says V6 on the motor - Dude keeps saying V8 ???
The 2013 Audi S4 is powered by a superb, supercharged, 3.0-liter, V-6
Nope!!!!! Theres more then 2 ibis whites from Audi. I know, I had to paint match my ultra rare b8 audi 4cylinder turbo s4. Only 200 ever made so yes you are gonna say they don't exist but im here to say otherwise.
Personally I would just add a cat back to it because it's illegal not to have one in my state.
Mine is the AWE touring catback, no cats is what’s making so raspy
@@twn2rbo No I meant I would add the cat back onto the car XD Bad wording on my part. I didn't mean do a cat back mod.
Don’t tint the front windshield ya dingus
You seem like a really cool guy, and the video was awesome until the driving part... Why do you have the camera aimed at your face man? It's blocking all the views, and we can hear you just fine without having to look at you the entire time. The best videos have the camera pointing the other way out front, especially in a POV angle so we can see the speedo, dash and everything else out front. I really wish people would make the video about the car, and not about themselves hoping to become "youtube famous" .
I'm not saying that's why you're doing this, but it's so frustrating seeing all of these potentially amazing videos getting destroyed because the person aims the camera at themselves while driving.
Appreciate the feedback
DSG. No, thank you.
Beautiful car but now days the bmw b58 is king , with less then 2500$ you get to 500hp like nothing b58 is the modern 2jz an engine capable of 750hp on stock block, don’t get me wrong the s4 is a beauty but no match for the b58 ,when you’ll drive a tune 340 /440 you’ll understand
