    Brilliant review of these long-awaited headphones. I was smiling when I saw your shaky hands ;). I was browsing the B&O homepage since they might sneak-update their product range before a new product or colour is announced. Nothing there. Over to Insta. Oh look, an update from B&O claiming they would launch a new product in 3 minutes. «It’s got to be either an upgrade to the Beolit or the H95.» 8 minutes later I had my pair secured. I had been waiting for these for a long time, especially since I’d been waiting for a departure for a couple of years from the otherwise pretty but with time very mature design language that was introduced with the H8, continued through the H7 and H9 series, appearing in all the colour options out there. Finally the H95 have done an incredible job at it. All of it is just epic! The wheels are a very simple idea properly executed, turning them feels like... you just want to keep turning them :). Even the tiny ON/OFF switch and cables have been redesigned. And the stitching on the headband is no more. In its place you have this gorgeous new texture in the leather with no visible stitching. I expected the size of the H95 to be bigger and more bulky, but it’s perfectly proportioned in my opinion. There is so much to love even before you arrive to the sound quality. I was happy to hear about your experience. Just like you I felt the gap between the H9 and H95 is noticeable and you can clearly hear details you’ve never noticed before. The clarity is fabulous. Music is so alive. I watched Dunkirk yesterday and the sound experience of the movie was like watching Tenet in the Imax room. That rumbling bass mixed with the never harsh but precise and beautiful treble. It just has so much character. Everything from the presentation and first impressions to the sound the H95 are an experience. They are truly phenomenal. I agree they would have been worth the original price. I wonder if they will come in a warm tone like the Bronze Beosound 1 :).

      @@BangOlufsenManchester Thanks very much! :) I should add, maybe the launch price is a gesture from B&O to us to share in celebrating their birthday ;). I am so excited about their 100th birthday, I think B&O might even launch a range of products, Beolab 100, Beovision Century, maybe even updated headphones and perhaps even something nobody's thought of. I better start saving up already.

      Jaumaster 69 Thank you! Sure as hell I’ll suffer the financial aspect for a few more months but I’ve at least sold my H9 :). I’d also rather spend my hard-earned money on this than a new iPhone. I am quite sure there are other headphones out there that deliver better sound quality, but then again there are headphones that cost this much multiple times over. As an overall experience though, I think the H95 are hard to beat. For me who comes from the H9 3rd Gen, it is a big step up. I have only understood it after having properly listened to music with the H95 for a while and then revisited the H9. I’ve always thought the H9 sounded excellent - which they still do! But it’s hard to go back now. So I definitely think the extra price you pay is reasonable. I mean «B&O-reasonable». One could always argue price :/.

    Thank you so much, John, and B&O Manchester, for another enthusiastic review, this once, about the Beoplay H95 headphones;
    just love them.
    Let me confess you something.
    Some time ago, I had a set of H9 3rd gen., and loved them.
    But then, when I first saw this review, unfortunately, only in April 2022, I decided to change them, I decided to buy and to use, instead of my H9 3rd gen., a new set of H95, which I did, and immediately started to love them too, has I did with the H9 3rd gen., my previous set, which I had in my hans only for a couple of days.
    That is not all. Let's see, we are two at home right?
    So, surprise, I decided to buy a second set of H95, which I also did, one set for me, another one for my wife, Tânia, and we are super happy with our decision.
    The Beoplay H95, in fact, are beautifully made, the materials are just superb, they are and look expensive, with the most luxurious feeling, just simple and very good stuff, amazing design, so premium, great sound when linked, one at a time, with my Smart Tv; as I said, love them.
    My wife loves them too although, at the beginning, she had some doubts about spending so much money with the second set of H95, since we had already one set of H95 and could obviously change them between each of us.
    Super happy, after all, with the two H95 sets, both in black; great choice!
    Now, all this being said, if you don't mind, I would like (need!) to kindly ask you a few questions:
    1. Is there a way, any way, with some quality to see movies (LL and almost no noticeable lip-sync delay), to link the two sets of H95, at the same time ("Dual Link"), via Bluetooth, without wires, to the same Smart Tv?
    2. Meaning, is it possible to do that with the B&O bluetooth equipment/devices?
    3. How, then, do you, John, at B&O, manage to link two sets of Beoplay H95, or two sets of other models of B&O Headphones, whit a B&O Smart Tv, both via Bluetooth, at the same time?
    4. Does the B&O Smart Tv Bluetooth´s has the "Dual Link" system?
    5. And do those B&O Smart Tvs use the same codec as the H95 (SBC, AAC or Aptx Adaptive), without other devices - transmitter - attached?
    6. Or, on the contrary, you use a compatible device, like a Bluetooth transmitter (with SBC, AAC or Aptx Adaptive codecs), to connect the other three devices - two H95 sets and the B&O Smart Tv?
    7. And last, but not the least, if that Smart Tv is not a B&O but, for instance, a Sony, as mine is, with A2DP (model KD-55AF8, Oled, 4K, Dez. 2018), what can I do to achieve that same purpose?
    8. Do you know, and can you suggest, please, a transmitter, or any other device from B&O, or from other brand (we would prefer B&O), to link my two sets of wonderful Beoplay H95, via Bluetooth, at the same time, as we, me and Tânia, so hardly expect and hope to do?
    I´m telling and asking all this because if it exists a device like that in the market (such as a transmitter, a receiver-transmitter, or another proper device), it would allow us, me and Tânia, to see good movies together, at night, side by side, without wires, and without disturbing our dear neighbors, which I very much would appreciate.
    Unfortunately, until now, it seams like, in the market, there are no Bluetooth transmitters yet, with "Dual Link" (or even without "Dual Link"), using your Aptx Adaptive codec;
    On the contrary, they all apparently use other codecs (as the SBC, AAC, Aptx, Aptx HD or LL, etc.), which may, perhaps, mean that if I decide to buy one of those devices, my two sets of Beoplay H95 would link to my Sony Smart Tv, most probably, via the SBC codec, or via the AAC codec. From what I heard and red so far, the use of these two codecs could bring us some unpleasant latency and lip-sync delay issues, that we could probably note and see, like around 220 to 250 ms.
    One last word, or two!...
    Some days ago I mailed a well known brand of bluetooth transmitters and tried to explain them this difficulty of mine. I told them that I just cannot find a proper way to connect my two sets of H95, at the same time, via bluetooth, with my Sony Smart Tv, without risking to deal with hight latency or unpleasant lip-sync delay issues.
    As far as I can understand (and I can understand less that I could use) the above-mentioned problem exists, since,
    - on one hand, the transmitters in the market unfortunately just don't use yet the codec Aptx Adaptive, already in use by the Beoplay H95 Headphones, which is a shame;
    - and, on the other hand, B&O does not use the codecs, for instance, Aptx, Aptx HD, ou Aptx LL, that other brands in the market still use (proved to be good and reliable codecs to link and deal with), which would be very good for my modest and unprofessional purposes, but unfortunately does not happen.
    In fact, it seams like both SBC and AAC codecs, which can link almost all bluetooth devices, from the different brands, could be used in my case, but that truly might not be a solution because, as they are old and general codecs (much inferior when compared with the Aptx family), they certainly have hight latency and lip-sync delay, with is also a shame.
    In conclusion, can you imagine, or even believe, that they suggested me that, to solve my problem, I could buy one transmitter of them, kind of state of the art for them, with "Dual Link", which uses, amongst other codecs, the Aptx, the Aptx HD and the Aptx LL, and to also buy a set, or even two, of their own headphones, which also use the same codecs and, naturally, would allow me to see and hear my movies with my wife via Bluetooth without noticeable latency or unpleasant Lip-sync delay?!
    With that answer, I must confess, I got sad, very uncomfortable, and didn't even reply, yet, since I don't even imagine to use other headphone then these wonderful and super premium Beoplay H95 of mine, even if, to use them unwired, I could not do it at the same time...
    So, that's it, as I'm not a tech expert, or even a audiophile guy, and as I just don't know what to do to use, at the same time, both sets H95 unwired, to see TV with my wife, I thought of asking you, John (and also this Forum participants) if you would be so nice and kind to help me and my wife with this issue, so important for us, which we would appreciate so very much indeed.
    Best/Kind regards, to you all, from sunny Lisbon,

    Thanks for a great review. As an owner of H9 3rd gen, the only disappointment on specs with the 95 is that they are again premium travel headphones with Bluetooth, ANC etc. I would be much more interested in a purchase if these were designed as real high end headphones - something to challenge the likes of the Sennheiser HD800S for example on sound quality - where sound quality is the raison de etre, not convenience features for travel. Otherwise, they look superbly styled and finished and no doubt a great headphone for travel. Incidentally, whilst I do use my H9 3rd Gen for travel, when it comes to the best sound quality I can get out of them, it is with ANC and bluetooth turned off, and using a wired connection to a Chord Mojo, in turn connected to either my computer or iPhone via USB or Lightening respectively. I would wager the same would apply to the H95's; given that bluetooth uses lossy compression, and is not really what one would consider 'hifi', and the ANC also reduces sound quality, I'd say a wired connection and a good headphone amp/DAC would improve the H95's quite noticeably as regards serious sound reproduction.

      @@BangOlufsenManchester I'm sure they are... but... are you able to compare them to Senneheiser HD800S - arguably the industry 'standard' when it comes to dynamic headphones. If they were, I'd be out to buy a pair ASAP. Otherwise I will probably keep my H9's as my portable travel on ear headphones, and pursue the Sennheisers for more 'serious' at home listening. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them; I just wish B&O had designed these as phones for the true music lover, rather than the traveller merely looking for good sound and luxury on a journey.

    John thank you for these videos. I’m a B&O convert. I need an explanation of what exactly the Besonic equaliser does when you enlarge the dot with the pinch to enlarge.
    While it seems to expand the mid range sound it then pushes the highs and lows into the background making their details harder to hear.
    I like what it does but miss the sound separation and textures in sounds. I wish it would open up the sound stage at the same time.
    Perhaps I need a video showing how it works. I am slowly upgrading my sound systems. So far I have Eq’s, Beolit20 and H95. I had E8’s when they first came out, but they didn’t really tick my box.

      It's the spatiousness of the sound. Making the dot larger increases the spatial properties and makes the sound wider with processing. I prefer the natural more focused sound but play around and see what you like best. -John

    Don't get me wrong but something went wrong with this product:
    -Sound quality: perfect
    -Build quality: very good
    -ANC: mid-range
    -Audio: mid-range.
    There are way, waay too many "mid-ranges" to justify the VERY high price. In my experience 2/3 of the price would be just perfect. It would be still a VERY expensive head-phone but at least the price would the "fair" in my view. If Bang & Olufsen delivered in all categories a stellar quality and trashing Bose/Sony/Sennheiser (ANC & Audio) then YES, you could justify the 900 EUR retail price. Nevertheless I'll check out a used pair for 600 Euro because the sound quality of the Beoplay is just fantastic.
