Livvi-Karelian dialect and VepKar corpus by Tatiana Boiko, 2018

Good afternoon, my name is Tatiana Boiko. I am a researcher of the Livvi Karelian dialect of the Karelian language. I work at the Institute of Language, Literature and History.
In the Karelian language there are three dialects: Livvi, Karelian and Ludic. I will briefly describe the Livvi Karelian dialect of the Karelian language.
Livvi Karelians live in the Republic of Karelia, mainly in the settlements of Olonets, Pitkyaranta and Pryazha districts of southern Karelia. The largest settlements of the Olonets and Pitkyaranta districts, where they speak in Livvi-Karelian, are Olonets, the village of Kotkozero, Rypushkalitsa village, Verkhovye village, Il'inskiy settlement, Bolshakovo village, village Tuxa, village Vidlitsa, village Salmi, village Pogrankondushi. In Pryazhinsky district the Livvi Karelians settled along the shores of two large lakes of Karelia: Syamozero and Vodlozero.
Syamozero Karelians live in Essoil (Jessoila), Kroshnozero, Shchekkila, Kuudam, Korzu, in the village of Syamozero.
Vedlozersky Karelians live in Vodlozero, Yurgilitsa, in Kukkoyla, in Kotchura.
The village of Kolatsselga is located on the shore of Lake Tulmozero.
Residents of the village of Kolatselga (and residents of other nearby settlements) speak on the Tulmozero subdialect of the Livvi-Karelian dialect of the Karelian language.
Livvi-Karelian dialect has been taught in schools and other educational institutions of Karelia for more than 20 years, educational literature has been published, dictionaries have been compiled, Livvi literature has grown.
Materials in the Livvi-Karelian dialect are posted on the website of the new project Open corpus of Veps and Karelian languages. Anyone who studies or is interested in the Livvi-Karelian dialect of the Karelian language, these materials will be available on the Internet search system.
