You have an impressive ability to keep the narration going despite incredibly long waits between packs. It is a sign of long practice and professionalism. You're doing an excellent job at being an entertainer.

LSV has been doing drafts for youtube since 2009, when Conflux was the current set. You can tell he has had quite a bit of practice doing this 😀
I remember watching him doing drafts on RUclips almost 15 years ago now, damn I’m getting old! His skill level as not only a drafter but as an entertainer has improved drastically over that time….unfortunately Magic Online as a program has not lol.
I still can't believe he hasn't got some random spare HP mouse in his household though...
On a side note Bonecrusher Giant can Stomp your own face, to allow your creatures to attack into The One Ring.

LSV just reminding us why he's in the MTG hall of fame by using his monored deck to beat 2x attacks with annhilator 4, and t1 sol ring, t2 batterskull, and t3 metamorph batterskull. What a champion.
that 1st matchup had so much removal, shows how crazy this deck was for standing up to it and pushing through, surviving that Ulamog was even crazier
Yeah so many of these games were absolutely nuts
Game 2, not strip mining the Workshop went from “EXTREMELY punished” to “MASSIVELY rewarded” real quick

Sometimes when drafting you have to fight for a lane, sometimes you're the only person on an 8-lane monoRed highway

My favorite thing is when blue mage LSV drafts red and green creature decks. He’s given me faith in hexdrinker
I suck at cube, but whenever I draft hexdrinker I go 2-1 lol.
LSV was known for his Monored Cube decks back in time.
Hexdrinker is terrifying. You have a small window to bolt/dismember it and then it becomes unblockable and can only be removed by a sweeper.
This red deck poured gasoline on the fire and never burnt out - what a draft!
I love how you explain the sideboarding out of Goblin Guide. Most people wouldn't really think about the card draw aspect being really bad in a removal heavy matchup.
Winning against hard cast ulamog and then double batterskulls that kept coming back. That was an incredible match!! Amazing content LSV!
Hopefully this goes better than yesterdays speedrun.

Crazy games. This video made me realize how much I have been liking the team drafts though since you play all the games in the pod. Something extra about not playing against cards you have in your deck.

Bro managed to lose a match with 2x annihilator 4 hits and 4 active Batterskulls. Against mono red. Luis of course did all the right things, but still...
That entire match felt like an “Oh my god I’m playing against LSV.”
I believe at 58:04 if you set it to draw the Mountain the next turn you have lethal off flashback Firebolt + Lavamancer activation. Love the videos by the way, thanks so much for all the amazing drafts.
Watching your content has given me the sublime delusion that I, also, can do well in vintage cube.

It’s wild to see how much the cube power level has increased since this in just 9 months. I’m barely in to the recording and Squee, hellrider, and char already stand out as really bad compared to stuff now like gut, carnage interpreter, ghostfire slice, and the 4 mana 3/3 haste opponent can’t block
Another nice part about glimmer lens is that it makes a rebel to return othari with

LSV, your mouse has been broken for weeks. Right click>attack all. You have undone an attack like 6 times.

Kind of shocked to see Squee not make the cut. I've rode Squee/Laelia/Rabbelmaster to a lot of speedy wins and p1p1'ed him a few times (usually ending up in R/W aggro or mono R aggro). Lots of bodies out of nowhere.
After getting used to the team drafts, seeing Sigarda is kinda jarring. It's maybe modern cube level.

23:00 after draft before games I'm going to guess that Squee would have been better than Jitte in the main. I think that if you're playing Rabblemaster another goblin generator is actually kind of strong.

I always have a moment of confusion when an opponent plays the same card you have.
It's like "wait how did they get grim lavamancer and dismember when we also have grim lavamancer and dismember???"
Then I remember it's not a real draft and modo is weird.
I thought for sure you were going to lavamancer whatever the batterskull blocked so that they didnt get the life.

Double misplay game 2, you gotta strip mine the blue red land, and opponent picking up wrong batter skull cost them big time
I'm somewhat surprised that LSV chose not to run Squee in the main deck, as it seems on par with Rabblemaster in power level and works especially well with Jitte and Hellrider. To be honest, I don't know what the cut would be.
squee is not even remotely close to rabble in power level. also, it doesn’t make jitte much better other than the fact that it’s another creature you can equip.
@@empzxz It makes additional creatures for Jitte even if it dies.
I would argue it might have been better than hell rider. Just getting it down a turn earlier feels like that matters more now.
Hey sir, Im confused why they dont use Sigarda Host of Herons instead. Much better than current Sigarda and actually quite playable as a sb option. Its good against Liliana, good against Archon. Decent vs annihilator stuff (vs sneak etc.) and is a good GW card in general. Really would like to know your opinion on that!

It was gone from MTGO. It comes around a few times a year, interspersed with other cubes. Recently there was cartographer’s cube if I recall.
Anyway, it hasn’t been gone from this channel. LSV and his friends have been doing non stop team drafts posted on this channel, which you probably already knew.
You can play any cube any time on Xmage. Mtgo sucks and buying digital cards is downs

I wonder if it's worth it to try to force artifact/combo decks a bit more in pub games compared with the team drafts. It feels like whenever one of these decks comes up in pub drafts, it's absurdly strong, I assume due to lower drafting skill and less hate.

I'm at the point where I think DRC is just bad in cube and should be dropped. Way too hard to achieve delirium consistently enough and a 1/1 with surveil is not a playable magic card. I feel like there's a dozen red one drops that would be a better fit for the cube and fill out that crucial place in the curve.
Only deck where it seems easy enough to enable and hence roughly playable is UR tempo/spells and even then DRC is absolutely below the average for card quality in it.

This is the MTGO vintage cube, you don't necessarily play against your pod.
mono red rarely beats batterskull. I have DEFINITELY never seen mono red beat 4 batterskulls.

In mono red specifically. Chandra fits the game plan better. It's like what's better, Dismember or Swords? For this deck, dismember. Not in general.
They should replace most of these bad burn spells with multiple copies of lightning bolt, IMO.

I kinda of dislike the Mtgo cube pairings, it'd be better if you played people who you drafted with, rather than against people who have half the cards you drafted
