Absolutely brilliant! Loved the story of the Loan House Monkey. How Murder in the Rue Morgue is that? My uncle Hughie was a merchant seaman and used to bring back all sorts of exotic creatures back to Leith. Coatimundies, macaws, iguanas and yes, a wee monkey from South America. After creating havoc, my granny made Hughie take the wee thing to Edinburgh Zoo, which was where all the other animals ended up. As far as I know, there were no murders in their flat in Red Braes Place by simian creatures during that time Just smashed plates......! Loved all these tales. Get better every time. Thanks so much for this. One question. How does the Incredible Burryman go to the lavvy? Sorry to lower the tone. Just worries me! 😂
Glad that you liked the new episode Gill. I have heard of monkeys becoming Pets from many UK ports back in the day, this one was something else. I'm not sure what the Burryman does for a pee, answers on a postcard to NEN😀
Fascinating history and another superb video.

Many thanks and delighted that you liked the finished episode. Many thanks for your help in the production👍👍👍

10:26 Oh, but of course a place like The Hawes Inn would host "spirits"! You can see them there behind the bar on the top shelf! LOL😁
But of course they aren't the "spirits" to which you refer....... are they? You mean the *spooky* type! Ooooooooooo-oooooo! 😆
A fine selection😄😄😄😄😄
Maybe the burryman keeps that area free of burrs😅
