    Outstanding video. You two do a awesome job on the videos but the scenery of the west coast is unreal. The other great thing is you go to places that no-one else goes to.

    My prayers go out to everyone affected by the fires in BC and Alberta. From one of my favorite towns of Silverton to Jasper. I hope everyone stays safe.

      lol the news is seriously blowing the wildfire season out of proportion this year. i live in the middle of the shuswap and grew up in the okanagan my whole life this year one of the best summers in the last 5 to 6 years. it has been raining and bloody cold for the last 2 days much more rain on the way. honestly has been one of the most rainy years in about 10 years
      all natural caused fires this year and just another part of being a british columbian, its not easy to live here but it is damn rewarding.

    Lovely area. Reminds me of western Tasmania.
    As an Aussie it was also interesting to see your trucks. None of them could be registered in Australia because the tyres extend beyond the bodywork. Interesting.

    A few months ago I predicted 100K subs was on the near horizon for you two. I may have been a bit exuberant regarding timing but you're edging closer and closer. Won't be long. You guys deserve that and about 5.37 million more. Keep doin' what you're doing.

    Food for thought. As a retired Forest Land Manager think about WHY the roads were closed! I am sure it was not to be mean or create obstacles to go around or stop Honda Civics. When I gated or closed a forest road it was to reduce resource damage. Something to think about.

    Most of my off-road is in the Southern California desert, so the worst we get is desert pinstriping from the bushes. There is one section called back door rock, with a hole perfect for a back tire to drop the entire driver side into the boulder, so i feel the tundra’s pain. Beautiful camps, someday Tiggr (87 xtra cab) and I will make the 1100 mile journey. See you out there!

    So, I just returned from my "Out West" trip spending 22 days and 6066 miles and my farthest point was the Eastport-Kingsgate border crossing. I didn't actually go into BC because they have a much different feeling about having a pistol in you truck than America does. Anyway, I got a great shot of both the US and Canadian flags blowing in the breeze. I spent more time in the panhandle of Idaho than any other location. It's just breath-taking.
    The most humorous part was the Idahoans bitching about the people from BC taking up all of the camping spots and the people from BC bitching about the Albertans. I guess we all need someone to bitch about.
    I've been using a small electric fridge for several years with a small Jackery and I upgraded both the Power and the fridge for the trip and ended up taking both setups with one in the truck for beverages and one in the little teardrop for food. Besides the convenience, it afforded me some backup. I have to completely agree with your point about wanting to roam more even after just getting home. I haven't been here a day and I was already looking at GAIA.
    When you friend in the Tundra was coming around that stump, I was cringing about his lower ball joints. Obviously, they have been upgraded.
    The Montana dispensaries were nice too! Enjoyed the video and I'll have to look and see if I missed any others.

    Beautiful place! I know there’s a lot of pressure on creators to share their locations, so thank you for not doing so. Here in the States we are now seeing the results of overused and abused public lands: trail closures, wild fires, fees, etc. I think it’s important that we not popularize these places of beauty by incentivizing RUclips and Patreon memberships with GPS locations. Anyway, just my opinion. Thank you for sharing your adventures and welcome home!

    • @ToyotaWorldRunners
      @ToyotaWorldRunners  Месяц назад +1

      We’re more than happy to not share our locations. Often we mix up the clips so that people won’t recognize a route 😂 We hear about the nightmares of trails getting closed in the states. Very sad!

      @@ToyotaWorldRunners That seems to be the biggest fundamental difference between our countries. Americans are all about themselves in the moment, whereas Canadian’s value and respect others. Of course there’s always the exception. Keep exploring and safe travels to you!

    Gotta have a fridge/freezer and a power station when you're out in the bush these days it'd be crazy not to! I got both for about $230 CAD a piece. Vevor freezer and Go Labs power station. Been using the freezer every work day for over a month for ice cream and smoothies, and the power station for 2 years, no issues with either so far. Under $500 to change my life! I can keep ice cream for over 8 hrs on that tiny power station. I want a second power station so I can solar charge one while using the other.

    ay any chance you can sort of go back to the old format of videos, like before you went to southern america? i get it you have a new audience that follow along because of the new format but maaan these are getting harder and harder to watch. the australian overland youtube format is so over done now and it makes the whole thing feel like travel ad or you have to make 80k/year to do these things.

    • @ToyotaWorldRunners
      @ToyotaWorldRunners  Месяц назад

      Curious…. Do you mean no voiceover, narration and very little story telling?
      Not sure what Aussies you’re watching, most have an action cam in every car, radio chat every few minutes… I don’t really think we’re like that at all, or any other channels in general. We’re driving 20-40 year old rigs here… where does 80k/year come in to it!? We built our Chinook for under 30k and drove it halfway around the world, this is about as budget as it gets my friend!
