If driving the longest road in the world wasn’t enough, give yourselves 100 days to build a 4x4 motorhome capable of such a task.
You two prove, that you don't need a $100,000 rig to do what you do.. And what i do.. what anyone can do.. enjoy the outside.. Live outside.. Long live adventure camping..
No but to travel like that you have to be pretty well off.
I don’t even have a Toyota I have a beat up Chevy suburban and me and my grandkids go on adventures every other weekend and weeks at a time been all the way to Baja California Michoacan Oaxaca Yucatan
@@bobcooper1055 got that right 👍👍👍😎 Cheers and beers to ya, from the West Coast of British Columbia 🇨🇦
Nope.. @@singletrackmarc819
Food, meals is what it is.. camping or at home.. we need to eat.. fuel cost different animal.. but you adventure where and when you can.. just dont stop.. keep going.. you choose.. @@singletrackmarc819
Another vote for that mini documentary! Woohoo!
🙌🏻
So good to see some Vancouver island content. Love love it 🤙🏼
Happy to hear!
Mini documentary vote here ✋️
Yeh yeh yeh. Let’s get that docu mentary going
Great start to what I hope is a new series of videos. I have always felt that way about America in that I will go to other places in the world when I have discovered all my home has to offer. I have never quite put it into those words, so thank you for helping me to understand what I've always felt.
My trip to Idaho gets closer with each passing day. Our garage looks likes Santa went through the camping section at Amazon. It surprises me how many people think I'm going to the end of the world and will surely never return. I'm sure you heard those comments before your last big trip. Watching this video makes me yearn to hit the road now, but I must show patience and wait on Amazon to send the 1250Wh solar generator. It is so exciting for it to be coming together, I know you guys know the feeling.
We’re so happy you could resonate with this, Phil! We’re also SO excited to hear that Amazon has been the elite Santa in getting you prepared for your journey. It sounds like you’ll be set to continue to Argentina if you need 🙌🏻
Magnificent images and information. It is a great pleasure to travel with you. Thank you. If you are young, travel, if you are young, eat, if you are young, wear it. If you don't do it, you will never do it again.
Great words! Thank you 🙏🏼
Not only do I say go for it with the Friendly Cove documentary, but any others that y’all find interesting. Y’all make excellent content and I can assure you that myself and many others will be watching as y’all make it happen! Keep em comin!
Thank you so much!!
A documentary about Friendly cove would be awesome! Another great video, glad you guys are back on the island.
-A fellow Toyota enthusiast Islander
🙌🏻 Great to hear! Thank you!
You guys make me want to head north and explore that beauty for myself . Thanks for taking us along.
🙌🏻 Do it!
I don't think you said it loud enough - everyone needs a friend like Jason and Westcan Overland to bring the tent and find the cabin! It is great to see you travelling again in our Beautiful BC - as always much love ❤
We love Jason!!
It was very surreal to meet you two in person the other day, I thought I recognized the view of friendly cove as my father and I salmon fished that point back in 2016. I didn’t realized how much history it had though, great video as always, y’all have inspired so many including myself, see you next Thursday. Cheers! 🍻
So great to meet you Jackson! Hope we can get out on the trails soon. Thank you for being here with us 🍻
You guys should make a road trip to the west kootenays. Tons of offroad trails, beautiful scenery, hot springs, lakes, rivers...should I keep going? Keep up the great work love your videos.
Very high on our list!
The best camping is where others are not. So many great places to explore and so little time.
Back in the day before gopros in 1989, I took the Uchuck to Nootka and offloaded at Kendrick arm camp with a Kawasaki KLR 650 and a small trailer pulled behind it with all my camping gear in it and my 13ft inflatable white water raft ,road to the end of Crawfish lake and camped and fished there. Even hiked the old trail to Calvin Creek Falls past the end of Crawfish Lake all the way west to Nootka's west coast was a dream trip of a lifetime.
Love it! There is a time and place for traveling in a rig for living long-term, and then there is the time to keep it simple. Most overland videos I've watched, short trips, they are all tricked out with the roof top tents and slide-out kitchens, ultra-expensive trucks. You guys are striking the right balance. And, as always, some of the best narration ever!!
We appreciate it! Thank you for the comment 🙏🏼 we hope to inspire everyone to just get the heck out there!
Beautiful British Columbia... What a place we live❤ God's country❤❤❤
This is the kind of adventure my soul craves right now. Living in North Washington, I need to get my rigs on the road again and get out there and get some good adventures in.
Thank you for the inspiration!
We’re so happy to inspire!!
You guys are amazing! Your Content is always top notch. British Columbia and Vancouver are other worldly and just so overwhelmingly fantastic in their beauty. You always capture the landscape and the diversity of where you travel to, in the most exquisite ways. So all I can say is wow, keep doing what you are doing and thank you so much for sharing your journey with us all!!
Wow! Thank you so much for the compliment! We appreciate you being here with us🙌🏻
Yay! It’s Thursday
Northern Vancouver island is a fantastic playground. We have started exploring it more. Boondocking at trail heads and climbing some of the many mountain peaks.
Southern Vancouver island has become so limited related to gates out in by Mosaic forest products and there claim related to the Dunsmiur land grab of over 100 years ago which ends at Campbell River
Playground is a great word for it!
Lived in gold river for a couple years. Loved it, miss it.
I did as well. Went to school there. Was one of the coolest place I’ve lived. Went back and the apartments we lived in are falling apart and boarded up
I'm from tahsis originally.. I love the west coast of the island
I love home and you guys
coming from an old 91 SR5 4x4, glad i found this channel. love it.
🤘🏼🤘🏼
Glad to see you are home and following new adventures!! 🙌☺️
@17:31-17:35 loved that comment lmao , @19:45-19:53 loved the breeze blowing over the grass so relaxing , looking forward to the next adventure.
I have been watching since ya'll rolled the yeti and did the cab swap, chatted with Matt on instagram and bought a 4Runner myself and to see where the two of you have come is actually insane. truly inspirational, glad to see you guys nearing 100K ♥ love from Enderby
That’s so awesome! Thank you for being here since the beginning 🤙🏼 we appreciate it!
Also back in the day with my 1986 Suzuki 250cc quadrunner 4x4 and a trailer behind with all my camping gear and my 13ft inflatable white water raft made another trip to Gold river and Donner lake up in Strathcona Park where the upper old road went to lake shore ,we put the raft in the lake and traveled to the west end of the lake. The steep mountains lake and creek at the west end of the lake are spectacular and fishing was incredible. Not sure if that old road is still accessible but a drone looking at it would let you know. That my friends is a bucket list experience.
Loved that old bridge. Shame it’s closed off. The water fall at 11:33 was so awesome. With just getting back from a week long visit to the island we are so excited to see the next few of your videos.
Yep, lots of old memories coming to a close around the island as places get deactivated. We can only hope to find more special places!
THE BEST west coast in North America! So good. Love BC
Heck yes more local documentaries and first nations history would be awesome! Was that the bridge over Kennedy Lake at the beginning? I remember learning the history of that bridge from a couple locals, about the massive battle over the clear cutting on the mountain slope, how it was too steep to ever recover, how the hippies very nearly bombed the bridge but got caught, and how little money was actually made when the loggers finally won and did their clear cutting. There must be a million stories as good as that in BC.
That’s the bridge at upper Campbell lake on the road to gold river. Awesome story though about the kenedy lake bridge. I never knew the that 👍
There are definitely a lot of dark history stories, as like anywhere in the world. We’re excited to learn more about where we grew up!
You sure put those 22r's to the test sir
😂
Cool video. That I stumbled upon glad I decided to watch it, it didn’t disappoint at all love the adventure and the camaraderie among friends. Big ALOHA’S 🤙🏾 from Hawaii..
Cheers! And welcome!
Great movie. Your comments remind me of the Alchemist - travel the world and find the treasure when you return home. Sunday is nice, but the yeti is another level.
🍻 Cheers!
SO GOOD to see you guys on more adventures on your home turf! It was great following you on the Pan American highway but at least for me this is a little more special. We are blessed to live in Beautiful British Columbia. ❤️😊👍
We’re so happy you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Awesome 🎉video. Thanks so very much ❤
Beautiful footage 😍 seeing you driving along the upper campbell and into the buttle lake islands gives me paradise vibes ✨️
"Vancouver island is a jigsaw puzzle you'll never find the last piece too" - couldnt have said it better myself. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching! We’re happy you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
wills truck is so badass i love that thing
Hell yeah 🤘🏼
Work up there lots. Cool that Shawn gave you the Uchuck tour. Great work. Do the documentary.
Another absolutely EPIC video.
Some highlights
#1 Williams Rig!!
I drool every time I see that thing. So jealous.
#2
Stacy snatching the drone out of the sky like a badass ! 😂
#3
All great fishing stories start with “he was ripping line out like ZZZZZZZZ and then I lost him”
Never gets old 👍
Glad to have you guys back on the island showcasing what a magical place we live in.
I would t want to call anywhere else home.
Side note. Had another Yeti sighting on the island highway yesterday. Wife still thinks I’m nuts when I shout “YETI!” Like a school girl 😂
Hahahahaha we love this comment. Stoke level is very high! And we wish we could hear you yelling 😂🤙🏼
SO sick. We loved Vancouver Island so much that we had to move our ferry back to spend more time here!
We’re not surprised! It’s amazing here.
Absolutely love the Vancouver Island content. Keep it up coming!
Happy to hear!!
I've only been to the island once, but I can't wait to go back. Gorgeous camerawork.

🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hi Guys, great stuff as always! keep it coming see you next time
I was hoping you guys would do some video's of western Canada when you got home, there is so much to see, keep up the good work, throw a couple kayaks on the roof and do some salmon fishing also.
Totally! We’re due to learn how to fish haha
Greetings from the sunny south Okanagan once more. Thanks for taking us along once more. For sure if someone hasn't been kicking around on Vancouver Island, it might seem smaller than it truly is. Love seeing the drone footage always, it's such a wild perspective. On the Friendly Cove documentary - that'd be grand for sure. Safe travels you two.
Totally! And we’re sure you’re probably starting to feel the heat up there. ☀️
Oh man!! Epic camp spots! Epic island views.. epic yoda’s!!
Especially loving that SAS Tacoma! I jealous, I want mine to look like that too. 😂
🙌🏻🙌🏻 The perfect recipe
Awesome!!!
Another epic episode! You guys keep rocking it!
Thank you!!
So now the whole world knows why I live on the Island.
I am still stunned at times by the beauty, the bears the deer, the elk and the most elusive cougars. It is truly an amazing place to live
We agree!
Love Van island, greetings from Maple Ridge
That Tundra 🤘
The fate af an adventurer is always to find a more beautiful place than where he has been 🤠
Sometimes one looks far away when it could be so close 🚙
Have FUN and be SAVE 👩👧
Loved that. Thank you! 🙌🏻
As long as your near Fernie, you might as well visit the brewery. I was there in 2022. Their beer is great. I can't buy it in the states but it is worth another drive as an excuse to go north.
First video i've seen. One min in and i'm subscribed. Looking forward to more to come.
Awesome! Thank you!
I bet you guys are so stoked to be back home after such an epic adventure..
Stoked to be home, but very much ready for another!

And to think they all drive Toyota's!!! Hmmmmm🤔😎 what am I missing here??? I'm a BC'er, and it is an awe inspiring, incredible place to be, explore and experience. The awe inspiring moments just never end, ever! Cheers everyone 🍻👍😎

Starting off minutes from where my parents live. Travelled that highway last year on my bike. I sure miss the WC
West coast best coast!
Definitely interested in your documentary plan. I would love to visit there, it looks so beautiful ❤
Awesome 👌 - New Episode - Much Love From New England ❤

Really cool, I have been following you since before you left. I am on the island too, in Fanny Bay, I really want to get out with the 4runner to explore. Need to make time...
That’s awesome! From the beginning. 🙌🏻 hope you can get out this summer
It's something I learned young. If you bring it please take it with you when you leave.
Another great video about the island. Can I come next time..... Nice work guys!
Heck yes! Join!
Amazing camera work. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you!
I was just in moacha bay for a fishing trip, me and my buddys paddled to that old logging garage
Two reads you might enjoy.
The white slaves of Maquinna.
The secret voyage of Sir Francis Drake.
Great content👍
Thank you for the tips!
Welcome back to the islandTWR! Great video. Again. Logged for many years around the WC including Gold River. Love the Uchuck just a great (and sleek looking) west coast icon probably the last coastal freighter using the Union Purchase rigging for unloading/loading freight. On your Yuquot doc there was a fellow, George Nicholson wrote a very good book entitled, Vancouver Islands West Coat. I had a copy (1964) when I was a kid living in Fair Harbour it and a host of others might be good research for your doc... There are lots of great research material out there but nothing beats getting right into it and spending time in these truly historic places and trying to imagine what it must have been like 200 years ago! We live on a truly small island just a 20 minute ferry ride from Port McNeill now but once in a while get over to the northern reaches of the west coast. Cheers from Sointula.
Thank you so much Vern! Appreciate the tips. We will have to check them out. We hope to get over to Sointula this summer. Stacey did a lot of forestry in the Broughtons, and always dreamed of stopping there. Cheers!
Happy happy joy joy,👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼🇳🇿
Prime paddle boarding up in there. And/or scuba.
All of that was filmed in Northern BC somewhere. All of us islanders know that the island is a desolate and terrible place. No point in coming here to check it out - just trust us. 🤙🍻
Hahahha YES
It would be great to see a mini documentary on places there in Canada 🍁
🫵🏻😎👍🏻
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
British Columbia is like Newfoundland and Labrador. We also have alot of remote beaches that can't drive to.
Yes I would to see a mini doc
❤ favorite couple favorite channel!
Would love to hear about the thousands of year old history of Friendly cove!
100% film that documentry. You will land a cinematic contract.
🤞🏼
Awesome Camping trip guys ✅ from Vegas 😀
Thank you!!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners hit me up if you ever visit vegas 🎰 we can go camping and I’ll take care of the food 👌
Welcome home
There is an alternate route to get to the other side of the of trestle bridge, if you had gone across the Strathcona dam and taken a left on the far side, there's a steep and super fun switch back trail that goes up and over a good sized foothill ! Did it once in my old 96 taco.. haven't been that way in years now .. but last time we took that route , we followed the 40+ inch baja claw marks to the other side....with a few minor detours due to clearance issues
Sounds like a future adventure 🤘🏼
Whistler- Pemberton Mt Currie Darcy Seaton Portage Mount Mission Rd Camping At top. Over hill and down Right to Lillooet or left to Gold Bridge more adventure
I drove 237000 km in Canada over 1.5 years one time I drove from Pemberton to Ottawa only using backroads. It's difficult
10:45 Yes to a documentary of friendly Cove
Documentary would be sweet !
May have to make a detour towardz gold river next time im up island !
Would highly recommend!!
My people’s! 💕
Need a walkaround of that Tundra
Yup, I think we should do that!
That old bridge is my kind of party. Damn you, loggers!
Sad. Going to have to rely on the Latin American sketchy bridges now 🙄
Cup holders FTW!
yes its a landing booted up there every morning for probably two months
É isso aí 🇧🇷 👏 🇧🇷 👏
You should connect with a Toyota guy in Port McNeill named Jeremy Browne
need to get up to bc in my 85....
I thought I seen the yeti in cr today after work
I miss Sunday 😢.
So do we 🥲
❤
Vancouver island! Awesome I live in parksville..explore the back country all the time..is there maps I can get or what gps do you use?
Best place ever! We don’t give out locations on the island. Best to keep these places wild. We always recommend the back roads map book and a healthy scroll around google earth!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners thank you guess exploring to see is better than not knowing.thats best part of adventure
Have y'all considered going to new found land and over to Iceland?
Yup and yup! In the future!
That oyster is too large for native. In Oregon they can only be found in managed oyster farms.
Now is the time to learn how to fish before you go to Alaska.
You’re right!
