While it can accommodate international short cartridges, it is primarily designed for use with Sheaffer cartridges. Some models can use the hard-to-find push-button converter. The common, still-in-production Sheaffer converter doesn’t fit. 10:35 There’s no need to worry; the Sheaffer cartridge is securely pressed at both ends and won’t come loose. There is absolutely no space for it to dislodge itself.
Thanks for the information! I haven't experienced the cartridge getting loose, I just prefer having a collar around it to provide some extra support. My Stylist came with the push-button converter, I've considered using it but tend not to as I am a stickler for being able to check my ink level. ruclips.net/video/C43LGQW6bHI/видео.html
I'm a big fan of Sheaffer pens and really enjoyed your video. I have quite a few Imperials and use the Sheaffer cartridges and converters in them. The Sheaffer cartridges are just cylinders and the pen is made so you can drop a cartridge in the body and when you screw it down, it will pierce the cartridge and the pressure from the body holds it in place. I hope that makes sense. Keep up the great work!
I didn't realize that! Lamy does the same, and it's a nice feature to have. Are you using modern screw-type converters on your Imperials? Mine doesn't fit the Lifetime, but maybe the other versions are wider.
These are nice pens and I love the inlaid nib. I have a Sheaffer Imperial II Touchdown with the conical nib. They write well. Sadly the white dot on Sheaffer pens is virtually meaningless. It used to mean a Lifetime warranty, now pretty much every Sheaffer pen has the white dot and their warranty is a two year limited warranty.

This pen is a nice size and shape. The inlaid nib is gorgeous. I have to search for this. Very good review.

Glad you like it! It is a shame they changed the white dot meaning over the years.
