Watching this video after playing this game almost a year after release I gotta say the difference is night and day between the game at launch and how the game is now.
"Your ability to walk short distances without dying will be handsome Jack's downfall!" 3:51 Love the reference Spuddy! Also did those frame rates ever get back to you or are you still waiting on the final business get back to you? Lol
With respect to your comments at the end: unfortunately, this wasn't anybody's passion project or an attempt to fix previous mistakes. It's a completely different studio, and the third who's worked on this game; after the release and subsequent failure of the original, the devs sold off the IP. It was purchased by a giant corporation who hired a team to make a sequel. After years of work they fired that team and reportedly scrapped everything, hiring another team only to do the same to them. The current studio, Hexworks, was put together by that corporation specifically for this product. Seems like they had about 2-3 years to work on it, which is very obviously not enough to pull off something like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the individual devs here, I'm blaming the shitbag corporate overlords who'd push out a clearly unfinished game just to hit Friday the 13th, but the point stands: this team is several levels removed from the original, it was being made by a brand new studio, and it needed more time. Fuck CI Games and fuck what they put those poor people through, I'm sure working on this game was a nightmare.
I agree people should stop blaming devs for everything. They usually aren’t the ones that green light anything. It’s like blaming a McDonald’s employee for the price of the food
The game is a lot better now, there there's enemies, the lock on is fix, most of the bugs and frame issues are squash and all the bosses are a lot more aggressive. There's even a bunch of new spells some seasonal quests and new armor. And they patch the game every Thursday since it came out. Is crazy.
Sad cause people will see this video and think the game is bugged all over and generally bad which is totally wrong and the devs actually put out patches every week and it runs beautifully now.
@@knowingbadger it's such a breath of fresh air. Spell-casting only in most soulsgames can be a challenge, and ranged weapons only even more so; but with LotF. . . it's damn good, and damn fun. Salt and Sacrifice had a very similar system too; but it was weighed down by the need to craft more ammunition mid battle, LotF really did a great job at expanding ranged options into something that's gonna make Ranger builds fun for multiple playthroughs.

I think it'll probably be worth checking out later into its lifespan. I know a lot has already changed since I played it, and it seems like they're going to be continuing to work on it for a while. Personally, I think I'd recommend at least waiting for a sale.
@3therspark63 yeah on console it doesn't run well at all, noticed your on pc, wish there was an option on console to lower graphic settings as performance mode doesn't cut it at all. I love the aesthetic of the areas in this game but hate how twisty and windy they all are, half the time I constantly have to recheck the area 3 or more times in and out of unbral and end up forgetting which ways I have/haven't been. That being said I'm doing my second run and am just about finished having only got the game a week ago, its a really fun game, just needs some tweaking to make performance, movement, the lock on and certain animations less jank and itd be an amazing game.

I love; knowing the flaws are (rapidly) decreasing with each patch, but if you need the game to be at 100% before you jump in, I recommend waiting about a month or two. Its fun; has tons of build variety, great level design, and is getting updated with very open and responsive developers patching it nearly weekly at this point.
Exactly! Most people I've talked to didn't even know about it! And it does, but it isn't fast enough to keep up with a lot of enemies, so some of them won't stay on screen at all.

Had to stop watching the challenge run because I got sick of hearing you complain about everything. So negative man.
Totally pointless, rang is op radiance is op.
Omg what a shock I can just stay away and beat everyone what a disappointing east game using the literally most over powered lazy game play method
Ok why tf are you bashing on the game for, the title is can you beat the game with radiant spells yet you're pretty much bashing the game 90% of the time . Thumbs down bud
