I'm sold to the avatar system DJI isn't making the cut anymore
I saw the voltage at 3.5v per cell when you turned around at 19km and thought "am I missing something or is this guy crazy af?" Once the pack hit 10v I knew you were. Nice demo of Walksnail. I lose my DJI connection after 2 blocks but I'm fairly low and not in a wide open area(houses all around). I will have to upgrade my Walksnail and DJI anntennas and see what kind of range I can get.

Of course it does. It's made with an entirely different focus. In order to get ultra low latency, something else must be given up.

If something briefly interrupts your signal, Walksnail will have you looking at the past. Not saying one is better overall. They are just meant for different things. It's like saying a big rig hauler is better because it has more power. Naturally it's going to lose to a compact car if all you're doing is getting to work with it.

What's the deal with the amp draw resetting from 1900 to 1100 mah half way into the video around 2:17
lol i have no idea .. i havent noticed before you say .. i also see the same it jumps from 1900 to 3000 at around 3:04
There is 2 mah drops. 1999 to 1100 and 1999 to 3000.
Woah that's scary. I flew yesterday my walksnail vrx, 2nd flight my osd stopped updating or frozen after arm, 3mins later after I noticed my battery is not dropping. Glad I returned asap. Though I have telemetry radio alarm, still scary experience to fly without osd.

i landed on that tree to prevent any damage.. i got it back .. that was about 400meters away home. :)

It wems to me caddx need to make better cameras for the walksnail system. The exposure and colorimetry seems very dark and odd.

Wow that is a long distance ! Are you on 1080 or 720p feed ? Have you find difference in this latest firmwares from power 700 or 1200mw , it seems to me that with latest firmwares it works better isn’t it
720p at 25mbps 1200mw ... that firmware works better that the 28.xx.xx .. honestly i havent fly much with 700mw so i cant tell the difference

It was originaly to go to the back side and i moded to fit the place that it is now ... i put it there cause i had big interfierence with the avatar vtx
Just a little more juice and it would be perfect. Q. After you found and picked the drone with depleted liion, did battery survive or will it still be usable for next time? I once depleted my lihv to 3.3V, forgot to charge it at home, after 1 day it's dead and never revived the voltage.
Today i used 2 liion packs parallel connected and i went 10km out .. when i landed the cells were at 3.3v

About the batteries they work fine .. but if i continue to treat them like that i will need new batteries soon

@@mpeefpv This firmware version creates a file called .osd now plus a MP4 video file. Plus an . SRT file. So what equipment did you use to record the goggles HDMI output?...🤔😀😏

@@mpeefpv Thanks, I'm waiting for someone to bring out an Application where the MP4 and . OSD can be merged. That should be way easier and it means you can merge say onboard recorded video with the OSD or any MP4 file I guess...?

Ok that's wayyy up in the air where there are no obstacles....very few people fly FPV drones like that......do it again but stay under 2 meters the whole time and see how far you get
Penetration test and long range test is 2 different things... most fpv systems analog and digital wont go further than 1km behind obstacles. Distance depends of the type of obstacles

What GPS module are you using? I can never get more than 4-5 satellites with my GPS because of the Walksnail VTX interfering with it. How do you have your GPS set up?
I use beitian bn880 and i have the wires wraped with grounded aluminum foil. I also mount the gps as far as possible ... it locks in about 30sec... sometimes 1 minute worst case

My method is very fast in locking the GPS, when you turn on the quad, don't turn on Google at the same time, just the remote and my quad is on. What I experienced was that the GPS would lock quickly

Yes it is crossfire ... i run inav 5.1 and that setting is on osd tab then turn on Rx Link Quality %.

I built on an AOS Falcon 7 frame and it takes 10 amps to hover.
Edit: I looked back at some of my DVR footage, and it turns out my throttle management is just bad. Need to do my best to keep it in that sweet spot. Also realized that your current sensor is likely reading 12% low by the reading when you ran out of juice.

Thanks dude. Looks like my dry weight i is 13 grams heavier, and I bet the all up weight will come down when my Molicel packs are done. Could shave that weight by grabbing some bi-blades, but since I plan to run 6S2P, the extra thrust might be something to hang on to.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. That small bit of info went a long way!

At least they all complain about jello on bi blades that they cant tune out really. The footage sucks then.

@@chrisbee5481 Yeah, I spent about 5 minutes on them and realized that they had awful balance. Anything over 35% throttle was a shake fest. No amount of PID reduction was going to fix it.
