Great video, as always :) You're one of the best sources on the internet regarding 360 photography and video. However, I have one question (if I may). The technical quality of your videos is very good, even at 4K. I wonder if you could describe your workflow to get to this level. This means from the start with recording on the One X2 till the export to RUclips. I've made some video's with my X2, but the video quality isn't as good as the quality of your videos. I would love to hear Ben’s answer as well! But I know some answers here too. Two main tips for you: shoot in well lit places, where the sun is shining, not a dark forest. And upload in at least 1440p. After that you can go further (but you will get diminishing returns and I don’t know if Ben uses these methods): No auto settings, use lowest ISO and a flat color profile to color-correct in post, turn in-camera sharpening way down and do it in post if you want, add motion blur (in premiere or after effects) to get close to the 180 degree shutter rule, because your shutter is probably way fast, use noise reduction and maybe some intelligent unsharp mask filters. You can really crank up an image these days using your computer and AI.
After watching your vids, you remind me about my 360 activity in 2014 that I stopped because few professional users can share their knowledge like you, and limited hardware, softw too. you're great and inspiring, I'll be back to try 360 again! thanks!

Small tip: When you inevitably lose the cap for the sticks rather sharp 1/4 inch threat, you can replace it with the cap from a standard bicycle tire hose (tube). It wont cover it all the way, but at least you don't make scratches / holes in things.

I have spent many hours trying to determine how Kurt Kaz (RUclips) pans his video camera while it's on a selfie stick. Can you tell me what is needed. I understand he uses a Sony FDR x3000X. The other requirement would be, the camera and stick should be lite. Thanks

If you do the hyperlapse with a 3 meter stick alone, it´s ok. If you try this while walking with your family - your alone too. Suddenly they walk somewhere behind you, like, "Who is this? No, we don´t know this person!"
cool tip: if you can do this during a subsolar moment (lahaina noon) you can totally remove yourself from the video and don't have to worry about shadows extending from the bottom of the frame.

Also: painting roller extension poles come in handy. Most are fiberglass shafts and don't flex much. You can mod them to add a camera thread-mount.
I have the regular extended selfie stick which I noticed it bends and you can't adjust to different heights... I need this new one.

I was in Rome last week and my wife and daughter could find me when they lost me thanks to the 3m selfie stick. Very useful.

You can use an old school heavy tripod. I had one that was 2.5kg and never tipped over!

It’s not that much cheaper- the reason is it’s nowhere near the quality of this one, doesn’t compact as well, bends more etc.

I just use a Monopod and add another selfie stick to it. Gives you less rigidity but more portability. For less than 100$.
