For those that don't understand all the props that say "Nuka Cola" or the two flags of the New California Republic and the red bull of the Legion, this is all from the INCREDIBLE, WELL THOUGHT OUT video game role playing game, "Fallout: New Vegas." By the way, New Vegas day is coming to Goodsprings on July 8th. Goodsprings was used as the starting area for the protagonist.
The flags at the 9:59 mark are from the Fallout: New Vegas game. The red one with the bull is the flag for Caesar's Legion. And then immediately following that are shown a bunch of neat Fallout memorabilia. I didn't even know this saloon was real until now. Now I REALLY want to visit Goodsprings!
Lived in Las Vegas 40+ years and have visited the Pioneer a few times. Unfortunately not since the release of New Vegas. But if you look closely, it's an almost spot on resemblance. I just might take a trip there this weekend.
Ah, goodsprings. I'm sure a lot of people watching know what Fallout New Vegas is. They're having a party there July 8th or so for it. Some of the artifacts are things from the fallout universe. It's awesome haha
When I lived in Las Vegas I worked with the man that owned the Pioneer bar and I helped him do some work on the building. At one time the well for the bar went dry and he had to haul water to the bar to keep it open. That went on for several years, as a permit for water is very hard to get in Nevada, you have to buy water rights. There is an old saying in the desert "You will fight over gold but you will kill over water"
@@siggyretburns7523 I am not sure of the spelling but they are called Ivenpah I think there used to be a town or an old mine there named that, not sure.

What a great video! Totally dug it. Didn't feel like a documentary. More like hangin in the desert with your buddy kinda vibe. Thanks for the patience and posting. I grew up in Vegas in the 70's/80's. Spent summer's in the Virginia City Highlands. The emptiness is geeeorgeeous!
Whenever I stop in desolate towns, especially those that have always been tiny settlements, I always wonder what it was like to be there 100 years ago with no a/c and crude unreliable cars. Those were hardy people who settled there.
Well, my dad built a home from the coliche soil, with dirt floors, and my grama would pour water over burlap hung over the windows to cool the place. The car required water about every mile. They did not say where they got the water.
Now that is a weird car collection! A Yugo, an early 70s Honda 600, and a bunch of Lada Okas. I recognized the first 2 but had to look up the Oka, since I had never heard of it. Oka was never sold in the U.S. The Honda 600 is kind of the predecessor to the Civic. There was an episode of Chips where a big football player drives one and rips all the doors off of it.
Jean NV is the place where MIROX Corporation (owner Miroslav Kefurt), which also trades as Oka Auto USA is based, with a business office in Las Vegas. Currently they have an agreement which allows them to build NEV ZEV electric mini-cars under license from GAZ which seem to use essentially the same platform as the Oka, except it is electrically powered. In the mid 2000's MIROX Corporation struck a distribution deal with LADA and imported an unknown number of the gasoline powered Okas with the motorcycle engines they were equipped with at the time from Russia. These don't seem to have sold very well, however. The cars there must have arrived as part of that importation between ~2005 and ~2008. Or perhaps they were remaindered stock on inventory after the bankruptcy filing by LADA in 2008. He might be using them for refitting with electric motors and selling them as NEV ZEVs. I hope those would be examples which were protected from the elements rather than left sitting out in the desert for over a decade, maybe. Miroslav Kefurt also imported Yugos and Fiat x1/9s during the 1980's and sells/sold a synthetic lubricant oil about which dubious clams have been made, possibly by him, as well as an oil filter about which inflated claims may also have been made.
I too recognized the yellow one as an early Honda 600. The back window used to look like a scuba mask. I just presumed the other cars there were Toyokas.😄
The Nuka Cola and Sarsaparilla opener (and everything around it) were from the video game Fallout: New Vega. It was a location in the post apocalyptic video game (a lot of it is drawn from real life places).
Yeah and the flag he couldn’t identify was for Caesar’s legion which was a faction in that game. The other main faction being the New California Republic.
And notice I said "Vegas Based" I applaud you for getting out in the country and making different content. The Vegas "content creators" are just vomiting repeated, basic content. Production values are good ,but content is weak.

Clark was informed of the missing plane on which Lombard was a passenger - it departed from McCarren Field and vanished around Good’s Springs. Clark rushed over from LA to wait and see what would transpire the next morning. Probably many whisky shots later the wreckage was confirmed with no survivors, so Clark went on his way.
Hi from SLC , UT! Love the channel and I started watching on your recent trip trough my area ( East Nevada & SLC area content). The car your were wondering about in this video at about 23:00 ( the yellow) is a Honda mini coupe from approx 1970. My brother had 3 of these a few years ago and they were a blast ride around in. Anyway, thanks for the awesome content and attention to detail that you do in your work.. I used to own a Yugo. Named such as they were made in Yugoslavia. Cheapest piece of crud I've ever owned or even seen for that matter. The door paneling was cardboard.
The burgers are also good at the Saloon and if you look at the bar there are indents where Clark Gable’s finger prints were while he was waiting for the search team. The bar tenders are very nice there. They do also ghost hunts too.
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome video and very interesting! I bet all those people were getting tired sitting in traffic. Cool cars and beautiful scenery!
