I really like the before and after pictures of this house. It's good to see that no one vandalized the place and what we are seeing is pure decay. I'm also amazed at how little it changed in 10 years, it must be a very well built house, something you don't see often these days.
something about looking through these abandoned houses makes me sad. You know people once lived there and made memories there, and now they are gone who knows where and time just marches on. Life is sad, things just pass on and die.
Loved this video can't wait for part 2! I would love to see you do more of these "haunted abandoned houses". Maybe it could be a treat for us the month of October. Aren't you ever creeped out when your in these houses alone?
I love it. It's beautiful Dave. Glad it's decayed naturally. Did the basement have stairs? I don't blame you for not going. Very dangerous. Awesome Dave with the side by side photos. Look forward to the next video.
i went here new years eve (dec 2023) and there is stairs to the basement, surprisingly the basement isnt even flooded or amything, but its very sketchy haha went twice between august and december and between those trips some kids from a nearby school vandalized the entire top floor :( kinda sucks but its mostly natural decay still aside from that
theres also been a lot more floor decay. in my august trip i actually fell through the floor in the hall next to the kitchen, and the second time in december, the really bowed floor by the basement stairs had caved completely, leaving only a tiny space to climb around. in one of the rooms with the medallion the ceiling has collapsed, taking out about a third of that medallion :( as much as i love this place, its my favourite location ive ever been to, i wouldnt recommend going into the main house. the barn is cool though, the garage(?) and smaller guesthouse are completely caved in too
Loved this. The interference with the audio upstairs was interesting! Makes me want to watch part 2 now!!! I think the spirits are pissed off with the shitty paint jobs upstairs with the horrible colors! A graceful house deserves more respect than that! Great video FreakMaster….look forward to the next 😉
I can't believe nobody has not bought this home and restored it. It was probably very grand in its day.I would not go in there at night by myself. I can just imagine how grand this place looked during the holidays. Such a pity it is in such decay.
Sad to see these grand old ladies fade away. But, so glad you got to see her when she was in much better shape. And now she'll be preserved forever on video.
I loved the tour!❣ It's a very old house but it had some rich details. The people that lived there had money and servants. Much better than my family life when I was young! Born 1951!
The house can still be saved. Has anyone contacted the current owner to see if they'll sell it. Its be awesome once restored. Owning a cool and haunted house. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure
So much fine carpentry work went into these old houses, we just moved into an old 1800s house and has the same sort of moldings, it’s just something you don’t see today, we love it
I am so over people being so scared of spirits, haunted houses and ouija boards. can we please mature enough to sit down and start talking to the spirits and hearing their story? That would be the most fascinating.
so happy i stumbled on your channel! you're terribly underrated. i subscribed and can't wait to watch more. don't let slow growth discourage you; im glad to see you're still posting regularly ❤
I guess nobody can afford to restore it. It will take a lot more than carpet and paint to fix that place up. I KNOW it will cost over $100K to do even basic restoration so maybe that's why it will continue to rot until nothing is left. I'm starting to wonder if this is why some HUGE mansions wind up abandoned. One possibility is the owner was a lottery winner or received a giant inheritance and foolishly spent almost all of it on the biggest house they could find. And then fast forward just two years and they're broke because they never thought about the huge expense that goes into maintaining a house that's around 5-8,000 sq ft. 2,000-3,000 sq ft is a handful for most people even if they have no children. I can't imagine maintaining a 8,000 sq ft house. Maybe that's one reason they start at $20 million in Florida...
I’d be careful at night going into places like this. don’t let your flashlights be seen at night from the street someone could get curious and come in. don’t ever go by yourselves.
You may or may not believe me. Im a Medium/Clairvoyance. One of the woman in that house likes curtain. She keeps the curtains clean and out of harms way. I dont know the story on how she got to like curtains (im not that good of a clairvoyance). You may hire some local medium/clairvoyance. But dont tell her my statement. If both said the same thing, its confirmed.
Sad its been left to rot...anything that old you should expect a spirit or two hanging around...wish someone would save it... I love this house, it could be restored if theyd just fix the roof.....Thanks for the video
I also explored inside of here July 25 2012. Videos are on my page. There's actually a book on this place, which I read entirely before I explored it with friends. It was a fun place to explore. Great video! I am looking forward to seeing part #2. Cheers!
Being a builder I love that house and I have seen many old Abandon houses. But I also know the spirit world real good so i do not think I could deal with the spirits even though I have no bad feelings of spirits in that house and I can pick up energy just looking at something. I would love to remodel that house.
Great old house. It has a lot of awesome paint peeling happening. I like your 10 years ago vs comparison shots. When you stumbled across the exercise bike I thought you were going to give us another urbex workout. Guess that bike was too rusty to live up to any kind of fitness expectations. Your greatest fan comment cracked me up. Enjoyed the video.
You said you took those pictures in the same areas of the house 10 years ago. It’s amazing how 10 years have ravaged the place. Now with the holes in the roof, through a few more seasons, those holes will get bigger as the wood continues to rot. Nature is reclaiming this site. Be careful going up those stairs, the weight of a 200 pound man could collapse the steps and you could seriously injure yourself. My guess, the county where the house sits, have no idea what to do with it.
Nice to see the difference a decade makes when not also vandalized. Interesting to see the difference between peeling wallpaper and peeling paint. Wonder when it was last inhabited. It seems that except for the awful roof damage it's still in pretty good shape. I like the house but not sure I'd deal well with ghosts. Good explore and comparison.
This house is a wonderful old homestead wonderful pic that you took from 2012 and now it's sad to see that the upper floors have holes in the roof. this would of been a jem to save and put on a historical list because it was built in 1856! It's still grand no matter what!!
this place is something else, you walk up to it and think this place is amazing great architecture, then you see the first floor and think not bad nice looking for an old house, but then the second floor your oh my god what destruction those roof holes have done major damage, so sad. always liked the older houses, they dont make them like they use to thats for sure.
Hi Dave In the description it says that this house is haunted but you never mentioned anything about it being haunted. Are you saving that for the other parts of the series? This house looks like it will fall in any day. I am glad you didn’t go in that creepy basement. That’s probably where all the spooks are if this place is haunted. I think the coming episodes will be interesting to say the least. Until then as always stay safe.
Watching this video I wonder if it was really locked up all the times you tried to get in or if you just weren't tall enough to see all the roof-level entrances.
Pretty sure you don't believe in ghosts you should the original owner still there and he's not happy I ran through your audio on some special equipment whatever it is yelling at you to get the hell out of there get out of my house it says
Awesome house!!! Awesome video. You are an excellent “narrator”. Low key, all genuine, great voice. Well done! Enjoyed this very much💕
Thank you so much!

I love ceiling roses!! They had so much grace to a house even when it's old and dilapidated....
Wow it's amazing to see what 10 years does to an abandoned house! Very cool & can't wait for part 2!
More to come!
My house is well over 10 years old idk how it still stands. It looks like it was built in the 50’s with a old crusty carpet
@@dapotato175 same here! Mine is a 57 prefab put together in a sears warehouse! Talk about crusty dusty! Lol
Awesome! I can't wait until part 2. The house has a few unique features. Nice shots.👍🏻

This was once a beautiful home. The ten year difference in your visit is massive... House is just sad now. Thanks for the tour!

Thanks for a great explore. There was a time when that house was a beautiful place. So sad it's left to rot and decay.

Sad they just let this house go, the structures of these houses are much more durable then anything today, true, rough lumber
Great house! I love that you get to visit and compare so many years later.
I am so over people being so scared of spirits, haunted houses and ouija boards. can we please mature enough to sit down and start talking to the spirits and hearing their story? That would be the most fascinating.
Nice music!........you need to bring a friend so you can safely explore the basement!!!
Next time!

I really think you should be wearing a respirator when you go in these houses. I feel an asthma attack coming on just looking at this stuff!

Great great video 💜
Loved it you did before and after photos.
Yes.. still a very beautiful old home

Very cool seeing the photos you took so long ago.
Did anyone else hear the "No!" at about 9:31 marker?

I agree with you
Superb bro🔥
Was a beautiful Plantation House at one time , sad that it was abandoned

Wow, sad about the roof, it won't take long if nothing is done about it.

What a beautiful house, I’d love to see it in its glory

Right... and in 10 years absolutely no one has stepped foot in that house... uh huh...🤣
it makes me sad to see these historic homes left to decay

HELL the condition of the house is scary! Forget haunting of house!
Wow that’s a very bright light!
Is there any history to this house?
THANK for the awesome video.👏👏👏👏👏👏👍 I do appreciate it.🌻😊
Anyone else notice the human looking shadow stood still against the wall at 9:40
Wow, love it. More, more

Why was it abandoned? It must have been beautiful in its time.
Around the 340 time mark as you are panning around with camera it look like chandelier or hanging light swinging in other room

next video is the "haunted" one
In the UK a house like this wouldn't be seen as old
Is it legal to go to without getting arrested?
Super awesome 😎
3:30 right window 👀
Watching this video I wonder if it was really locked up all the times you tried to get in or if you just weren't tall enough to see all the roof-level entrances.
Love the servants stairs
Why hasn’t anyone remodeled or sold to someone before it caves in??
money probably
It's ashame I love old homes
After 10 years and now look at it wow amazing thanks for the video Dave
Thanks you my friend see you soon
Actually it didn't look too bad for 10 years going by 😊
Sorry but I was trying to listen to some disembodied voices. No luck
Is this a haunted house video or an open house walk through? Same energy.
Where is the haunted part?
Beautiful
Love it
Could imagine it’s haunted looks creepy
#Abandon Rockstar
Too dangerous to go 8n basement but not upstairs hmmmm makes no sence , just admit it you were too scared
no such thing as ghosts,
Sadly, a ghost got him in the middle of him typing his sentence.
Lot of asbestos. But must have been beautiful at one time.
Boring

Pretty sure you don't believe in ghosts you should the original owner still there and he's not happy I ran through your audio on some special equipment whatever it is yelling at you to get the hell out of there get out of my house it says
