  • This week Stryker welcomes Tyson Ritter from All-American Rejects into the Tuna On Toast studio, and this already ranks as one of our all-time favorite interviews! From “Sing Swing” to “Move Along,” “It Ends Tonight” to “Gives You Hell,” All-American Rejects have cranked out some massive hits, and Tyson discusses his band’s backstory, as well as how toxic it was for him, at just 17-years old, to get caught up in the record industry. Could All-American Rejects return with new music soon? Tyson explains what would need to happen for the band to release something new after more than a decade away. More recently, Tyson launched the group Now More Than Ever, and he explains to Stryker how that project came together. Tyson is also a successful actor and has a new movie coming out called ‘Prisoner’s Daughter’ where he stars alongside Kate Beckinsale and Brian Cox (aka Logan Roy from ‘Succession’)! He revealed to Stryker what it was like working with an acting legend. Plus, you’ll never believe the crazy story Tyson shares about Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly! Subscribe to Tuna On Toast on RUclips and everywhere you get podcasts. Leave us a comment or a nice review and thank you - as always - for supporting the show!

2005....Move Along and Dirty Little Secret were two of the biggest songs on the radio. I was turning 9, and I fell in love with this band. Bought the Move Along CD and later their debut album...with allowance money....probably within a couple months. This band made me want to play music hand down.

He is such a delightful dude. I love Tyson and the all American rejects. I remember buying all their albums when they came out. It’s amazing to see the even more wonderful and charming human being he’s grown into. I really look forward to checking out his newest band <3

Awesome interview. Always loved and enjoyed his music as a kid, and growing up and seeing him in Preacher and getting into acting was really cool. Now finding this interview, he just seems like a really interesting and well-spoken person. Helpful to hear about his journey and advice about creativity/just growing up, he's a great speaker and seems to be a real one.

What about a new album for the generation you did connect with? We have grown and would love to hear how you have expanded and the growth as a band.

I actually really loved this! Such a random interview for me. I know Tyson from All American Rejects but never was big into the music. Just some catchy tunes I heard/saw around (MTV). But I happened to see the headline about MGK and it intrigued me. Decided to watch the episode to see kinda where Tyson was coming from cause quotes really make it seem different than how he actually told the story. First, I really like Tyson! Wow! I love his style and how comfortable he is in his skin and talking and telling stories. I really thought he was gonna be awkward but he wasn't at all. And super laid back funny! Also, never heard of this podcast but the host Stryker is really sweet and disarming and just like reasonable. Not irritating at all as these podcast hosts can sometimes be. Great interview! And this is the first podcast I've seen that really pushes me to want to start one. Had the idea rattling around but this like sikes me up for it! Great job!
