Lots of people die from this. Innocent and not. No point in risking life for reckless driving. They continue to Persue if it’s a serious felony. Reckless driving is basically a traffic violation

If you cancel pursuits due to suspects driving into oncoming traffic then all fleeing suspects will drive into oncoming traffic.

They should continue to pursue until somebody dies. Keep chasing the driver no matter how many people are on the road and eventually they will T-bone some random person and kill them or hit a tree and kill the passengers. That’s how we deal with reckless driving where I’m from.

The counter argument is that in Milwaukee innocent people are dying every day because people are running from the police and T boning a random mother on their way to work or hitting a pedestrian. Is it really worth risking innocent peoples lives for a reckless driving ticket? Reckless driving is practically a driving violation.

You do understand that he has to still follow public safety policy & procedures along with the department's pursuit policy. This isn't a GTA online chase where you can go and drive with no care.
Pursuits without capture? What's the point? Could have pitted the bad guy halfway through, but it was like, "Whoopsie! Almost ran into you! Sorry, go right ahead!"

Another KIA sportage. Another WI police chase termination. I can't decide which is more lame, tasers that don't stop criminals, or cancelling police chases. How quaint. WI sure seems like a good place to be a criminal. Or maybe they cancelled this pursuit because there were 3 police cars involved, (imagine that) instead of the mandatory max "2 only" policy.
This isn’t a Wisconsin thing. This is a Milwaukee thing. Wisconsin is almost all red except for Milwaukee and Madison. These types of things don’t really happen outside of Milwaukee, except for rare occasions. Plus, Milwaukee is quick to terminate, whereas most other counties aren’t.

With Editing and narration and bodycam footage from the end of every chase, these videos could pull millions of views. Code Blue Cam got the editing on lock but you have more of the city content.
For all the people saying that Milwaukee is soft for terminating the pursuit they need to understand that it’s a very common occurrence for innocent mothers and people to die because of these chases. People run through red lights and end up key boning someone and killing them in the process. At a certain point is it worth catching someone for a reckless, driving traffic violation if it puts peoples lives at risk? If they were chasing a person with a warrant for murder, it would be different.

It's not just pickup truck drivers; there are lots of crazies out there in all kinds of vehicles and bikes too. Let's all prioritize safety out there.

I think that’s the point of terminating at. Why risk innocent peoples lives just to catch someone and give them a reckless driving ticket. They pursue until it’s more risk than reward at the end of the day. Is it really worth catching someone for a traffic violation or a misdemeanor if it puts innocent peoples lives at risk?

Less than two weeks ago, 4 persons were killed on Ontario, Canada's major thoroughfare, Highway 401, during a wrong-way police chase. One of the victims was a 3-month-old, two the infant's grandparents, and the other was the driver of the vehicle being chased. What would you have done? Call it off or let 'em have at it?
why does this dude never show the end of the video ? you need to request the body cam along with the dash cam from multiple squad cars.
Getting these videos takes a long time. We don’t have information about every police chase, when we do get these videos, it can be a year later. MPD doesn’t always include all of the footage, sometimes the chases are ended and there is no arrest.
