    I'm so high in agreeableness (98%) and I sometimes find that I don't get what I want and I don't know how to ask for it!

    This is so helpful. I’m high in everything especially openness. High neuroticism is the bane of my life and makes me very self conflicted with my other traits. I really hope still I can lower my neuroticism but the advice to match environment is good (although my openness screams nooooo that’s so self limiting lol)

    This might be helpful to very open people who just discovered JBP's work.
    Ever since I started applying his advice of focusing on one expertise, my anxiety has decreased and the rest of my character developed as well.
    Listen to the wise old man!

    This is a pretty good thing to hear, if you're TOO open you might not have a backbone, and might not be able to stand your ground when you need to. But, becoming the best of the best at something would give you real power in the field and that confidence might allow you to gain that ability in other places when it's needed.

    What about people high in neuroticism but extremely low in agreeableness? How can a competitive job environment not be stressful so that they can enjoy their job?

      At least you can substrate some negative emotion when corellating between dis-aggreeableness. There are many factors which can help to lower neuroticism. I mean you brought up a person with ZERO insight whatsoever

      When he mentioned 'less stressful job' right after "competitive job", I believe he was separating the two as different fields instead of it being less stressful competition.
      So it could be just simple jobs that may not be competitive, if down regulating neuroticism is the key motive.

      I’ve seen a lot of business people and investors with this personality combo. Use your neuroticism to identify potential problems and your low agreeableness to point those out regardless of how people might feel.

    Where can I take this particular test?

  • @Fred-rd1ul
    @Fred-rd1ul 2 года назад +11

    I'm low in every big 5 personality trait and not sure what to make of it: agreeableness - 11th percentile, openness - 3rd percentile, conscientiousness - 7th percentile, extraversion - 25th percentile, neuroticism - 13th percentile

      Just from reading your Big 5 scores it seems to me like your a very tough person, kind of stubborn, likes to have things their way and aren’t afraid of confrontation or challenges. There are good and bad elements to this as is with any personality type.

    not sure how you're supposed to get an accurate test done if you're chronically depressed. when is the best time?

    • @hotshots149
      @hotshots149 2 года назад

      I guess try to do it with a pretty realistic view of yourself. Focus on the behaviours that you typically engage yourself in rather than the implications of those behaviours.

      The best time for one with chronic depression to take Dr. Jordan Peterson's To Know Myself personality test for the most accurate results is when your medical condition is stabilized.
